Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Scans are great! Especially considering how the city should be gigantic. And dat Batmobile... Quite interested in this...I'd even say a lot! I don't know when I'll pick up a PS4, but this is a reason, as well as Drive Club, Watch Dogs (hopefully), many indies, etc.etc.

For those interested

I really disliked the trailer for this. They made it as video-gamey as possible near the end with the slow-mo and whatever, but not a speck of the actual game was shown. If you're gonna go the CGI route, go with it all the way and try to make it as movie-like as possible.

Ever saw the previous trailers? What did you think of those then?

All sounds completely amazing to me.

If Rocksteady can pull it off one more time, we'll be looking at one of THE great trilogies in gaming.

Can't wait.

The cool think about the CG trailer released for the Batman games (the Rocksteady ones at least) while not being actual gameplay they do show off some of the new mechanics that will be in the game. The Arkham City reveal trailer for example, they showed the smoke pellets and the new stealth take down abilities like breaking through walls. In this new trailer for Arkham Knight they showed off the ability to eject out of the batmobile seamlessly, the ability to quick fire something like a batarang while still gliding. Some new combat stuff like more counter attacks Batman can do while using the environment. And of course at the end of it showing that you can call the batmobile at anytime, hop in and take off.

woah, there's riots of more than 50 people flipping cars and stuff? and i can go take control of the situation as Batman? how could i say no?

The new fear take downs sound freaking awesome. I'm not sure if they are just tied to the predator rooms, but if Batman gets the jump on a couple enemies in close proximity to each other he can take them all out in a few quick movements... if the player pulls off the multiple take downs correctly.

I loved Arkham Asylum, but grew very quickly bored of Arkham City. This sounds like it might be better, but I really want the Metroid-like progression of skills from AA back. I'm moderately hyped.

Game Of the year confirmed

Wouldn't be surprised. What else is there?

Uncharted 4
The Order
Halo 2 A
Sunset Overdrive
Call of Duty 2014
X (maybe?)
Bayonetta 2
Super Smash Bros: Physical Altercation
Wasteland 2

I'm sure Dark Souls 2 and Titanfall will fit the bill for some people, but Spring games have a harder time making GOTY status since they have to maintain momentum throughout the entire year. The only thing I can see standing a chance is Fallout 4 out of nowhere.

I like a lot of what I'm hearing about this game. Playable Batmobile, larger world, Scarecrow is back, current gen exclusive, etc. I think this will be a great ending to the Arkham games (although I'm sure WB Montreal will make more) and I hope that whatever Rocksteady puts out next is as good as this.

On that note, I don't know about the rest of you but I don't have it in me to go through all the Riddler bullshit again.

So it seems like we're in another era of developers using "heavily modified Unreal Engine," as a bridge. During the beginning of the 360 era a lot of people were using heavily modified UE2 before UE3 was ready.

Exactly. It is the first year of these new consoles. A studio moving onto a new engine takes time and money developing a new workflow. Seems Rocksteady wanted to hit the ground running 3 years ago starting work on this game. Judging from the GI screens, the game looks really impressive. I actually got an Infamous vibe from some of the lighting and shaders, wetness of everything, use of depth of field.

Destiny is the big mystery. I think Arkham Knight is a GUARANTEED Game of the Year contender, but Destiny could best it.

What are the chances of Rocksteady making a Superman game after they're done with this and Batman for good?

I don't think it's likely at all. I would like to be wrong, but I just don't see it happening. Even though a Superman (or better yet, a JLA game) would be awesome, I think I would rather them make a TMNT game series next.

I hope this game is good enough to enter the Game of the Year conversation.

To this day, I feel badly for Arkham Asylum (2009). It was my came of the year but ran into the buzz-saws that were Uncharted 2 and Assassins Creed 2. I'd like to see Rocksteady get some additional credit for crafting a terrific series if this game lives up to my impossibly high hype.

For the record, Arkham City did live up to my unrealistically high expectations.

In the GI interview with Sefton Hill, he stated that in all honesty they have no idea what they are going to do after this game. All focus is just on Arkham Knight for now.

I have never seen anything as bad as the scene where Batman goes into the Batmobile in any good movie. This was just a weirdly directed trailer overall.

Yea that slow-mo jump in the air to land in the bat-mobile was so Marvel. I was like "Nooo Batman doesn't do it like this!"

So who here has preodered like I have? I know my nerd penis doesn't grow an inch for a day one predorder but I've got the cash set aside for my next 4-6 years of gaming so I dipped in.

(I sell alot on ebay.)

The Witcher 3. CDPR will deliver.

Don't forget the true GOTY: The Witcher 3.

This makes absolutely no sense at all.

Man, wouldn't it be awesome if Nintendo picked these guys up for the next Metroid game? I think I'd buy a wiiU just for that.

His reply is quite sound, to be honest. In an industry such as this one, the future is always uncertain, as any studio can sometimes go for months without working on a project.

Batmobile fires missles and stun guns. It destroys anything it touches so if you bump into cars the cars go flying. It's basically unstoppable.

Batman doesn't kill people...his car does.
