cool, someone's just told me that developers CAN region lock digital games or DLC if they choose to, anyone able to find any proof this works for BF premium?
wonder if titanfall will be locked as it comes out three days earlier in US.

Edit: trying to look at it right now, but when I try to activate PayPal I have to add payment information as zipcode, adress etc. Is that correct? Should I fill in my real adress? I can't give a fake adress I suppose, because it should match with my creditcard details right?
Edit 2: Tried, but I can't add the real details ( zipcode too short etc. ). Damn :/

Correct but it's not an issue. You can have multiple primary accounts. All my PS4 purchases so far have been from US. I've saved a lot of money. I hope they don't block it one day...
Use a fake address. Just google fake US address, it's really common. Then use your paypal.

If you're going to use a fake address I would highly recommend one from a state with no sales tax! I kept the borderlinx address lines but changed zip, town and state to a place in Oregon. You might have to remove and re-add the payment info to make the sales tax-free though.
I used California, I think it said Max was $14.99 excluding tax but paypal only charged me $14.99...so how's that work?

Are you buying from the website, or the console?
If you buy from the website, you can click on the payment line they show, which opens a context menue with other payment options.

I used paypal as well. I just usually buy stuff on my PC, keep my Xbox set to UK and it works perfect. Even for PVZ which isn't out till today.
Just successfully did this from the UK. To get it to work via PayPal, what wasn't clear here, is that you need to do so from Xbox.com. And if you already have PayPal attached to your account, remove it first.
Steps:
- Remove PayPal from UK account
- Switch location in system settings on XB1 - restart
- Set billing address on XB1 - I used the Oregon Uni from earlier in thread
- Set phone - I used my mobile, dropping the 0 to get 10 digits
- Goto Xbox.com (I made sure to goto /en-US rather an en-gb/, though I don't know if essential).
- Goto Account, Payment & Billing, Add Paypal (it's not immediately obvious and I ended up on Support pages for adding Paypal initially, but hunt, it is in there)
- Enter Paypal Details
- Go back to XB1, check your payment details, paypal will now be there.
You can purchase games and DLC. DLC from US works with UK disc, at least the Caterham did for Forza 5, which was my test ahead of Titanfall.
Switch back to UK location and restart if you want to have EU servers. I'll change back after Titanfall purchase on Tuesday.

You don't need to switch back to get local Azure servers. Titanfall will pick the best servers automatically.
Are you doing it as per my post? You have to add it on Xbox.com on your computer not on the Xbox.

Ya, i changed region, added a US address to my payment info. I go to the xbox.com site and click on manage payment and all i can add is a credit card..
Do you have to remove the uk paypal first?

Just done it now. I didn't use US but Canada. If you do the exchange rate for those in UK.
$60 CA = £32
$60 US = £36
I used this address along with my Paypal account. I'm rebooting my XB1 to CA region now to see if its working.

I don't really understand the question. The money on your account is only good in the region you added it. So if you have £35 or whatever it won't do you any good on the US store because it only takes dollars.
An Xbox Live/Microsoft account works in all regions but a separate billing account will be created for every region you access. When you're in a region it will automatically use the billing account correspnding to that region. If you go on commerce.microsoft.com you can see all these accounts and their info/transaction history. Click [for me] GB - Personal account in the top right corner to see them all.

Trying to buy Titanfall from the US store and keep getting:
"Use a different way to pay - Your purchase can't be completed with this payment option. Try a different or new way to pay."
I've followed all the steps, how can I fix this?
Edit: Looks like fraud watch error code PBR9002. Guess I'll be waiting until Friday.

UK console.
Followed steps in OP on Xbox.com to make myself Canadian and add paypal. Bought Titanfall on xbox.com (Total about £34). Logged in to my xbox and it was listed in my ready to download section. No need to change anything on the console.

It reverts back to en-gb/ no matter what once I try to click something.

You don't need to do anything on the Xbox, just follow the xbox.com steps.
If the URL changes to en-GB edit it back to en-CA (if you're buying from Canada like I did) and all should be fine from then on.

Click http://www.xbox.com/Shell/ChangeLocale or just change your region at the bottom of the page on Xbox.com. That'll make it "stick".
Just did that, now I have a new issue.
I can't see my paypal option when I try to purchase something eventhough it's already in my account (the steps said removing paypal first is not necessary, and I will have issues doing so anyway, since my subscriptions are tied to my paypal account)
