I think I get Destiny just to kick your damn tsundere butt with some brown haired yamato nadeshiko.

At this point I would recommend you the manga. The anime adaption is just plain bad.
Is that original or sped up like the other one?
Looks pretty good tho.

This one is original,to be fair Sidonia is just like Arpeggio-later episodes better than early episodes(remember some shitty characters in Arpeggio episode 1?)
http://a.pomf.se/pfspxc.webm (episode 8)

Too bad i don't have much money now, otherwise i already own Sidonia's BD too fill my "future of anime collection" since i already bought all Arpeggio's BD

I had a feeling something was off after watching it last night. Is it missing something that's in the manga or...?

I just gonna be lazy and quote myself:
Tokyo ESP 02

Oh God. This is a horrible adaption. The direction of the fights were horrendous. I couldn't feel the action at all. Everything was so slow and uneventful. Then the scene where she falls through the floor. It looked like this in the manga, but I can't even post the animeversion here. Thanks for the added fanservice. -.-

Also the characterdesigns look way more generic, she doesn't look cute anymore and nothing looks like Hajime Segawa's style anymore. Design aside, this show is seriously lacking his cute SD reaction faces. blergh.

It actually feels a lot like Judge End. All the fun sucked out.
Plus, they just took a scene from the climax and strechted it over an episode.

Not sure how X is better works as argument here.

But that are apples and oranges. The Sidonia battles had the "grounded" touch (not saying realistic) which is pretty unique in anime, that and the cockpit sequences were the parts which I think were pretty neat.

Ars Nova had also nice action scenes - though it was more typical anime missile and laser spams + the Iona close combat stuff.
I maybe should've take a calmer scene. The greatest problem are the humans that look sometimes kinda weird moving in Ars Nova, but are incredible strange in Sidonia.

Yeah, looks pretty.
Maybe I should've give the show another chance. But I don't think so, the characters scare me.

Sailor Moon Crystal 02

Well this is sloppy.

Overall this is pretty good. It seems faster pace than the original series. I watched the first three episodes of the original and Mercury still had not been introduced. The OP is warming up to me.

Aldnoah Zero - 03

Much better in terms of portraying the protag. Funny how 1 episode has flipped my perception of him.

I think people might claim a deus-ex machina-type scene with
the rescue team appearing just as the civilians left the tunnel but the signal flare covered that pretty well. I can't think of any other reason why they'd launch that.

Now my problem lies with how cartoony the villain of this episode is. I mean, did he seriously
blab about the assassination attempt to someone who wasn't in the know and think he could walk away? I can forgive that perhaps he didn't know how close Slain was to the princess but come on.
. I hope this is the end of incompetent villains otherwise I won't be able to take this series seriously.

Wonder if Slaine's
murderous devotion to the princess
will be explored.

Aldnoah Zero ep 3
Holy fucking shit this show. Inaho taking advantage of the adults are fucking useless trope and figure out the kataprakt weakness which practically answered my last week's question. I was particularly impressed how this writer comes up with solution to a threat that seems damn logical and makes sense.

Everything continues to be great in this episode.

Aldnoah Zero Episode 3

Holy fucking shit this was fucking awesome!!!!!!!

"This is for my friend" then BAMBAMBAMBAM. This is where Inahos robotic personality really shined. Cold blooded bastard.

Its a shame he wasnt able to kill him then but at least Slaine managed to finish the job.

I really liked how the princess really got into the operation. She seemed so giddy
to fire those smoke rounds. I hope theres more to her besides "I want peace bla bla"

Great action, the plan made sense and dang that soundtrack. I was really worried there would be some deus ex machina and the power of friendship or something would overcome the barrier instead. I'm loving it.

Sword Art Online II 3

I really wish they handled Sinon's gun phobia better. In retrospect, it makes some sense but it's introduced in such a hamfisted comedic matter initially that's its hard to take seriously. Then when it actually is explored, it's handled even more clumsily. Of course this is what I get for having any sort of expectation from SAO. Fool me once...

Seriously. The robber just had to be a drooling lunatic making insane facing throughout the sequence, right? The effin 'villain's in this show. It's all black and white.

I also find it really hard to believe that even a finger-gun is triggering her that badly but in GGO she's completely fine. I mean this kind of psychological trauma is mostly a head thing. So I'd assume this would hardly cause a different reaction in a game environment.

But I'll just accept that as the basic premise and live with it.

The worst part about this episode was the dialog between Kirito and Asuna however. Like... why was she so 'worried' about Kirito leaving... the fucking online game world? LIke wow, you gonna take a couple days break break from this stupid game? Surely no one will care! But apparently it's somewhat of a big deal.

Meanwhile the thing I pointed out liking in the last episode was Kirito actually telling Asuna what's going on. Apparently that isn't even the case. "It's complicated so let's not really talk about it!"

Oh and one last thing. It's nice seeing those patronizing "I want to protect you forever / please someone save me!" mindsets. Them poor women! Let's hope our heroine can at least resist Mr. SexualAttraction. A mere nurse couldn't do so of course.

Even when the characters aren't expositing, the action isn't the most exciting thing in the world. Half of the episode was more or less Tatsuya playing a game of Duck Hunt by himself in the middle of the field. I keep thinking of ways this could've been made better, and one of those might have been making Miyuki the protagonist. Getting her inner monologue - even if it was mostly filled with admiration - would at least have some degree of recognizable human emotion in it. How is it this arc is heading into episode 10? I know I watch Fairy Tail, but that least keeps things interesting during its long arcs.

Yeah that's pretty much how I felt throughout the episode. The premise is interesting, but the execution was lacking. I was more or less bored the entire time.

At least the manga had some tact to it. I get that she's able to go through objects, but to make her go though her clothes as we'll unneeded. Not to mention the weird angle they had to draw the table leg in when she's trying to pick up her phone

Persona 4 The Golden The Animation 1

I feel like I have seen this before....

Just not so abridged....

At this point I wouldn't even call it abridged; episode two skips to Kanji LOL. It's only going to cover new material from P4G, continuity and cohesiveness be damned. By episode two it's totally clear this is for people who already know the story and just want to see the Golden stuff animated.

I actually prefer that because I've played P4 so many times that I don't mind. Makes me more excited about the anime tbh :U

Well there's a manga that's out and has Miyuki's point of view (as a protagonist), to see her side of things. And like other adaptions this one is lacking inner monologue especially from Tatsuya, which fully characterizes him unlike the anime. And his lack of emotions as a main character is also connected to the story. So that's why it wouldn't make sense for him to have emotions. Though I understand your view because you really haven't been given the specifics of his past and why he lacks emotions. And that the anime has been average.

Also I like Fairy Tail but all it's arcs are pretty much the same and predictable with Nakama power.

Kinda surprised with Inaho in that he does actually show some expressions this episode. Otherwise really fantastic episode. Fate/Zero is back baby.

I just absolutely freaking love how overpowered MC is. Not even being sarcastic either, it's great. This show is such a guilty pleasure. If only Mayumi got more screen time than sister.

I was reading around /a/ the other day and saw people explain why... but even then, the series still has too much exposition and too little tension. I've said it before, but all this "how magic works" info could be collected into a guidebook of some sort for people to pursue at their own leisure, leaving the story more room to feel alive.

Aldnoah.Zero Ep. 3: Well shit this was the best episode yet, I hope Takeyama does a good job with the rest of this series.
That last min was so damn satisfying.

Gives me a whole new appreciation of the scenes after watching Utena. Nothing wrong with recycled transformation sequences so long as they are good!

Damn straight. Great to see some artistry on display even if it is meant to just fill two minutes of airtime. :lol

Aldnoah Zero 3

Like F/Z it took awhile to get going but now the series seems to be hitting it's stride. I'm still not a big fan of the main character but the rest of the cast is strong enough that doesn't matter. Everything finally clicked for me and if the series can maintain this we'll be looking at another anime of the year contender right here.

I'll laugh my ass off if they decide to actually go with a format of
Inaho planning and taking down a mech, and then Slaine murdering the pilot during recovery extraction.
That would be the BEST tag-team combo of all time.

Yeah the series does have a lot of exposition coming from the books. Though as the series has gone on the Author has decreased the amount of info dumps he adds. After all it's his first series.

Wanna hear a good joke? Waste your time helping me! LOL!
I wonder if Aldnoah will become anything more than "Super High School Tactical Geniuses"

That was a terrible ending!

Get me to finally care about Ryuji and Taiga getting together only for her to disappear.
Yeah F that. Still have the box set shipping....
Huh, but
she reappears in the last scene in the locker.

Ami is the only girl who doesn't have mental issues. Yeah, she's a bit sadistic, but I kind of like that in a girl.
Minorin has no mental issues.
She is probably just on drugs.

Captain Earth 16

Now this is more of what I'm looking for. Hana getting her own robot and fighting through on her own power. There's not much time left or hope for Akari getting one, but I'll keep wishing for it. If Earth is Fourze and Nebula is Meteor, then Flare would be Nadeshiko, I suppose. Ever since I marathoned the first half, I've liked this series. The themes, the motifs, and the characters in general are all pretty likable. And going by the preview, the thing that got me to watch in the first place makes a triumphant return.

I'm actually pretty curious to see the blowback from this episode on the Martian side.
If the Count believes Slaine, which I doubt as Slaine has no proof(unless Slaine was taking a video earlier), then I guess we're in full civil war mode.

If he doesn't, then Slaine will probably be locked up, but I guess the orbital bombardment will probably clear things up, again leading to full civil war.

Either way, we know Slaine is the pilot of the purple mech due to the merch material so I guess he stays on the Martian side a bit longer.
