Though if you have a Lv.1 Ralts as your lead like I do, it doesn't work. :(

I'm never DexNaving cave Pokemon ever again.

Ok, so I want to make a competitive Mega Sceptile, and I need a good Dragon special attack move for it. Is Dragons Breath pretty much my only option? I really want Dragon Pulse, but it seems like it would be impossible for me to pull off.

you can transfer between them as long as there are no new moves (kyogre/groudon/rayquaza new signature moves) on them.
Awesome, thanks. I just paid the $5 for Pokemon Bank, can't wait to get some online battles going in ORAS.

I haven't actually played pokemon much in a while, but I got the new games since I collect the series. I started it up to get the shiny beldum download.

What struck me more than almost anything else was the music. Maybe it was always this way, but even with plain 3DS XL speakers, some of the music, like the starting town music, is fantastic.

Serebii says that Dragon Pulse is a Move Tutor move for Sceptile in ORAS.

Leave a bunch of Pokemon in PokeBank to farm BP.

I don't know much about the competitive scene, but I caught a male Skarmory with 2 stars recently. It has a Gentle nature and comes with Stealth Rock and Keen Eye. Is that something that would interest people in a trade? Not that I'm actually proposing anything, I'm just curious if that would actually interest people.

Dropped into EB Games today at lunchtime and got the Eon ticket. I will now be spreading it around everywhere in the city like a virus. >:3

Oooooooooh that's great news. I was about to breed a Treecko with a Goodra in Pokemon Y just to get Dragons Breath, but it seems that won't be necessary now lol.

How does getting bp from bank work? You can just let them sit there and it accumulates?
Exactly as you put it. :)
Choose Battle Points instead of PokeMiles? when Brigette asks you what present you want.

Yeah I'm excited to breed one. :D
Though I still wish I could get it in a Dusk Ball.

So I have some questions, some of which may be obvious so apologies!

I don't think I am quite there yet as I am still in the story,
but where is the guy who will check your Pokemon IVs? Or does it work differently this time?

So there is no Friend Safari in the game, which was my one way for collecting pokemon from other generations and starters with better stats last time. Is there any other way to
collect those types of Pokemon in ORAS? I see there is a Safari Zone, but the selection looks kinda limited as it is exactly the same as the original game.

What exactly are the Eon Tickets for? I see they have something to do with Latios/Latias....but I already got one of those in the story?

Who wants to give me a Honedge with perfect IVs? Or a Joltik? Or a Scyther?
;)

I am looking forward to finishing the game and starting to play around with breeding. Before I lost my save in X/Y I probably gave out around 100 different Pokemon with near perfect IVs over Wonder Trade. :D

If I am not able to get some good breeding stock through handouts, I am probably gonna suck it up and replay X/Y in the near future.

IV Judge is in the Battle Resort Pokemon Center.

DexNAV is how you get good IV'd mon. It took me a while to realize that I could tap on the icons on the bottom screen but once I realized that it became so sexy. However, level up your synchronizer first so you can use repels. You'll thank me later.

Eon Ticket is to get the opposite Lati.

I have the Honedge and Sycther but I'm too lazy to trade.

You can SR the Beldum. I was going for Jolly and only took second try to come up with it, thank goodness. But I wasn't leaving that PC without a decent nature.

Edit: Anyone know if the Pokemon from the scrap campaign are limited only one set per game or is there no limit? I haven't jumped in yet, as I'm waiting on the TCG stuff, but am curious for reference. Trying to figure out what I'll do if I end up with a second set. (Redeem and trade Pokemon, or trade the code itself.)

Thanks for the answers! I am at work now, but if you are ever not too lazy to trade... ;)

edit: I did want to know how you can get Pokemon that are not inside the main game this time.
Last time Friend Safari made it easy to fill those gaps.
Is it just through people who have transferred stuff from X/Y and/or Pokebank this time?

I have already gotten lucky with one Ditto coming through the Wonder Trade....

After iv breeding a Treecko in Y to bring over to Sapphire, I decided that I was going to also iv breed a Slakoth to bring over (Slaking is my favorite gen 3 Pokemon). One egg in, and I got a shiny Slakoth! It's my second shiny ever, so I'm pretty happy right now.

Someone explain chaining to me. I hear it talked about all the time, but I still have no clue what it is, what it does, or how it works.

Dex Nav after you get the National Dex. There're also the Mirage Islands.

Does Rayquaza have a really high catch rate?
Just caught it with 1 Dusk Ball.

probably, I caught it in 1 pokeball at half health.

Does anyone have Speed Boost Carvahna they can trade?

Also, anyone know a good electric pokemon, or a pokemon with electric moves, to pair with Mega Sceptile in a doubles team? Zapdos is out of the question since I don't have a good one.

edit: also, what's the best spot to hatch eggs in this game haha. sorry for all the questions

Sadly, my copy still hasn't arrived yet (I live in the UK), but I'm eager to play it.

What are people thoughts on the game?

Thanks!
I have Speed Boost Carvanha, my FC is in my profile.
No luck on the shiny Zekrom so far. Wondering if it'd be better to do it in 4-5 hour bursts or just pace myself.

I think it was bumped to 45, like the previous mandatory legendaries.

Thanks!

capturing Rayquaza is part of the story so it should have high catch rate. Now I wonder whats going to happen if we KO it
Just tried it, Rayquaza basically respawns.

Just realised I haven't got my stuff off the demo yet. How do you do that?

You need to go into the demo and talk to Steven to transfer the items/pokemon.

You can only transfer 1 pokemon/1 set per day.

So you will have to do it multiple times.

Too late for that XD. Oh well.

Pokemon isn't exactly known for being hard. But I think they did some balancing with the early Gyms, at least they didnt feel too easy.

I know, but that was one of my main issues with X. I hope ORAS offers a bit more of a challenge this time round.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Gonna pick this up tomorrow...still not sure which Version I want. For people who did both, which version has a funner Evil Team?

Gotta get around to setting up Pokemon Bank. What user name does it use to keep track of your Boxes? The Nintendo ID, or is it the Global Link one? Gotta figure out what mine was.

That's great because I want shiny weather trio again.

But in premier balls and not master or quick balls.

After playing through X the first time and backtracking, I've made my goal to catch the Legendaries in different balls.

Gen 3 - Masterballs
Gen 4/5 - Quick Balls
Gen 6 - Premier Balls

So realistically what are the natures I need on my group of synchronise ralts?

Because fuck breeding all 25 of them.

Well, for all my bitching and whining about not getting an Eon Ticket what do I get from a McDonalds's relay?

Happy National Streetpass weekend! I got it trolling a Best Buy on Saturday.

Just caught Kyogre, think I woke a neighbour up when I caught Kyogre on a Quick Ball... and oh crap, my mild ADD is kicking in. "Oooh, I can get all these Mega Stones. Oooh, New Mauville and Sea Mauville are open. Oooh, the island where the Musketeers are is open"...

Ugh, went to my usual Wal-Mart twice today, and didn't get any Streetpasses.
This only happened one other time.

I got Streetpasses yesterday, so I dunno what's up.
I was getting internet, so it wasn't down or anything.

Gah, there goes any chance for Eon Ticket...

Jolly/Timid, Adamant/Modest, Brave/Quiet, and Bold/Impish/Calm/Careful are generally the ones you want, depending on what kind of Pokemon you're going for.
Really, it's those first 4 that are the most common.
