NeoGAF Votes: Most Anticipated 2015 Game (voting ends January 1st, 11:59 PM EST)

1. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain
2. Zelda Wii U
3. Halo 5
4. Yoshi's Woolly World
5. Persona 5
6. Final Fantasy Type-0
7. Xenoblade X
8. Evolve
9. Scalebound
10. No Man Sky

There are some I'm just as excited about conceptually but haven't played a game in the franchise, like Uncharted 4 or The Witcher 3.... They are games I don't know a ton about but I trust everyone who's saying they are amazing. I've looked and looked and looked at this list and I think it pretty much stands as is. Also, I'm stoked for Mario Maker... I'm just not good at the making part. If the digital sharing is on point I'd be all about playing some new World maps!

1. No Man's Sky: This game's look, premise, atmosphere, music, lore, and pretty much everything else that has been released on it has had me intrigued since it was announced approximately one year ago. If Hello Games can pull this off and deliver on what they have announced for the game, then this will be one of the best games not only the year, but generation for me. I also love how sincere Sean Murry and his entire team are and how much love you can see they have for their game and their tiny studio. I look forward to playing in their universe.

2. Persona 5: I know I'm somewhat new to the whole SMT/Persona games, beating Persona 4 Golden at the start of 2013, SMT IV the same year, and Persona 3: FES at the beginning of this year, but I've become a pretty big fan of what Atlus has done with this series so far. It's the one game I know I will take time off to play when it comes out to try and soak up as much of the atmosphere and characters that drew me in with P4G and held me even closer with P3FES. Even with scant details of P5, I look forward to a great story, fun and interesting characters, and hopefully a much better dungeon system this time around. We know Atlus knows how to build great dungeons and encounters, now it's time for it to leap over to Persona.

3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Based on the recent gameplay footage from PSX last weekend, it seems like Naughty Dog is finally flexing their muscles on building in dynamic encounters inside of more open areas while still maintaining a linear path. The combat seems better and the player choice for engagement is making it look like one of the best Drake games made. I guess all that time with TLoU did the team so good. :D

4. Silent HIlls: I've been waiting a long time for this game. The P.T. demo and the names backing this project make me super excited about what this will be come launch. It might be time to finally go back to Silent Hill.
5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Open-world Snake and an interesting and probably convoluted story from Kojima himself makes me glad I'll be around to play this later this year. The improved movement and combat options for this game is astounding. Also, quite the fan of how massive and detailed the game world looks already.
6. RIME: Ico vibes make this one of the more interesting and beautiful games on the list.
7. The Order: 1886: The look of The Order is just insane. This will probably be the best looking games of the year. The new gameplay gives me hope that this will be a solid 3rd person shooter and include some interesting gameplay mechanics to help differentiate it from other games.
8. Bloodborne: I've never been big into either DS or DK but this game just oozes a certain level of style along with a more fluid combat system that makes me excited for what this game has in store.
9. Star Wars: Battlefront 3: Star Wars and Battlefront together again after so many years. I loved the old games and had a blast playing them with friends. I look forward to much of this same here.
10. Tearaway Unfolded: I feel like I'm not allowed to place this any higher on the list because it's a remake of the Vita game. Even though it does boast a good chunk of new things, I'll leave it at #10 but say that Tearaway for the Vita was one of the best gaming experiences I have had in a long time. I hope that feeling I had playing it is still there, that the magic I felt is still alive in that game and Media Molecule will tease it out once more. I look forward to smilling my ass off when this comes out later.

Honorable Mention (no particular order):
  • King's Quest
  • Persona 4: Dancing All Night
  • Grim Fandango
  • Final Fantasy Type-0
  • Below
  • Legend of Zelda (Wii U)
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X
  • Until Dawn
  • The Tomorrow Children
  • The Witcher 3

There are tons of games coming out. Far too many to include in a top 10, so I list them below. 2015 is going to be an awfully busy year.

WindingFlawedAfricancivet.gif

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : The greatest developer making another installment in one of my favourite franchises, and one that promises to be the best yet. The influence from TLoU is felt, the environments are more multi-tiered, and stealth appears to be a legitimate option now. What's not to be excited about?
2. The Order: 1886 : This game is such a visual extravaganza that I'm sold on it from the vistas, the mo-cap, the obscene amount of detail and overwhelming atmosphere it generates alone. As long as it plays competently at the very least, I know I'll love this. Steampunk, airships, werewolves, gore, gaming's most vicious shotgun and moustaches - day one.
the graphics tho
3. Yakuza 5 : I've been relishing the chance to play this for two years now, and I all but gave up hope of that happening some months ago. But after the localisation news last week, this shot right back up to the top of my list. Huge fan of the series, and I hear this is one of the best entries yet, so bring it.
4. Rime : The sort of game seemingly tailor-made for me. Gorgeous art direction, a paradisiacal island to explore, and no combat. There's a quaintness to it and also a childlike sense of wonder that you just don't see enough of in video games, at least not on this kind of budget.
5. No Man's Sky : A game this ambitious is impossible to ignore; everything about it just seems so limitless. I honestly don't know how they're going to pull it off, but I look forward to seeing them try and finding out for myself.
6. Batman: Arkham Knight : Liked Asylum, loved City. It'll be great hearing Kevin Conroy back in the saddle again, and also not having to square up against The Joker for once. And the world itself is humongous compared to previous entries.
7. Until Dawn : Heavy Rain goes horror. That's all the incentive I need to check this out.
8. Bloodborne : Demon's Souls wasn't my bag, but this looks different enough to warrant my time. I like the whole gothic aesthetic of it, but more than that, I like how much more fast-paced and offensive it is compared to other Souls' games. This could backfire on me big time, but for now I'm enticed.
9. Hellblade : I'm very fond of Ninja Theory after Enslaved and DmC, so I'm eager to play whatever it is they've got lined up next, even if this particular project is still very early in development.
10. Persona 5 : Hated Persona 3, loved Persona 4 Golden, I'm hoping this is more like the latter. It'd be nice if Atlus ditched the randomly-generated dungeons and made the game half as long this time, but I'm not holding my breath. Still, I have a colourful cast and wacky premise to look forward to I'm sure.

Omitted the likes of The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Mirror's Edge 2, Final Fantasy XV, Silent Hills and ABZU, because god knows when any of them are coming out. Didn't count any remasters either, otherwise Grim Fandango would have undoubtedly been near the top.

1. Uncharted 4: It's Naughty Dog's first real game on PS4. Looks amazing and fun.
2. Persona 5: Persona 4 is my favorite game of all time. Really looking forward to seeing where the next entry in the series goes.
3. Batman: Arkham Knight: The other 2 Rocksteady Batman game were amazing. AK looks like it's stepping its game up ever further for the series conclusion.
4. The Order: 1886: Game looks visually stunning, oozes atmosphere and has an interesting premise.
5. Tales of Zestiria: Look at my avatar. Also, looks to be the best Tales of in years. Cool designs and innovations to spice the series up.
6. Rime: Art style looks absolutely gorgeous. I really want to explore that world.
7. Bloodborne: Been looking forward to a faster Souls style game. Love the setting as well.
8. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD: Been waiting years to play this. Looks great with its visual enhancements.
9. Until Dawn: Love campy horror and this gameplay style seems like it will make for a fun game.
10. Mighty Number 9: A new Mega Man style game from Inafune. Need I say more?

1. Bloodborne
2. The Witcher 3
3. Metal Gear Solid V
4. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
5. No Man's Sky
6. The Order: 1886
7. Uncharted 4
8. Star Wars: Battlefront
9. H-Hour World's Elite (This would have been higher, but after hearing that Sears left, I'm much less excited.)
10. Until Dawn

My god, what a tough list to put together. 2015 is going to be a great year for video games.

1. Resident Evil Revelations 2 : Rev 1 was a step in the right direction and despite the coop, this seems to remove some of the worse parts of the first. Also, Claire. Plus, Barry. And dumb cog locks and old RE-esque locations. Yes.
2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate : Mostly looking forward for this, because I wanna upgrade from OG to New 3DS XL with it.
3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D : Even though it's the best Zelda game, full price is pretty bold for these upports. But I'll accept it this time (after still waiting for a big sale with OoT3D) , again because I'll need something for my New XL.
4. Xenoblade Chronicles X : Hopefully the mech gameplay compensates for the emptiness of this series' maps.
5. Yoshi's Wooly World : Seems like the first good Yoshi game since SNES. Epic Yarn was amazing and even though it's another title in yawn-worthy 2D, it at least doesn't seem phoned in like other platformers right now.
6. Devil's Third : I might believe a 2015 release date, since they've been talking about final tweaking lately. Anyway, I like the new direction much more than the first trailer, excluding main chara design.
7. Yakuza 5 : eh, call it unthankful, but digital only really destroys some hype (Y0 retail on PS4 would have been system seller on the other hand). Price and file size will determine further anticipation.
8. Bloodborne : Don't give a shit about souls, but this looks almost like a PS4 system seller to me. Love the setting, unlike Souls, and the apparently faster gameplay.
9. Batman: Arkham Knight : Only played City, which I thought was so-so. The location was pretty cool, but I'm just not a stealth fan. Still. It has again awesome art direction (even if more of the same), goddamn Batman and some thugs with samurai swords to fight. Now that's how you make me feel like a kid again (even though I never read the comics).
10. Tales of Zestiria : The direction after Vesperia is kinda hokey, but this seems like an iteration you can't really go wrong with. Hopefully.

Honorable mentions: FF Type 0, Tearaway, Splatoon

1. Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End: Naughty Dog has only impressed me with their releases and seeing as Druckman is directing after The Last of Us, this can only be good.

2. Rime: The artstyle and narrotive in this game looks like ICOs lost child.

3. Bloodborne: Never played a souls game and the artstyle is maybe a little to dark for me, but there is something amazing about what i have seen so far.

4.The Legend of Zelda WiiU : What they have shown so far looks absolutely breathtakning.

5. Until Dawn: Cant wait to play this games with friends. Going to be a hit on Twitch.

6. The Order 1886: The artstyle and the graphics is undeniable pretty i just hope that the story and gameplay holds up. The new previews and 35 min footage made me hyped.

7. Ori and the Blind Forest: Looks fantastic.

8. Tearaway: Unfolded: Loved the vita game, so i have to get this aswell. Media Molecule is the master of fun games.

9. Halo 5: Gurdians: Not enough footage for me to have it higher on my list and 343i has been on a bad streak rampage, but i actually liked the multiplayer footage that was released and i am sure that its going to be an amazing game.

10. No Man´s Sky: Open world sci fi game. Yes, please!

1. Pillars of Eternity : I've awaited something like this for years, and to think it's being made by Josh Sawyer, Chris Avellone, Tim Cain, and the rest of Obsidian is a dream come true.
2. Torment Tides of Numenera : It still has an official release date of 2015 and that's what I'm going with. That aside, it's the spiritual successor to Planescape: Torment, that is all that needs to be said.

1. Mortal Kombat X: I love playing fighting games competitively and prefer NRS games more than others. On top of that MK has added bonuses of being the first game I ever owned on the first system I ever owned.

2. Persona 5: One of my favorite RPG series and one of the main reasons I bought a PS3 before a 360.

3. Quantum Break: Been waiting for a new Remedy game since Alan Wake and this one is looking stellar.

4. Arkham Knight: Interested in a Jokerless story and looks like a better Arkham game, can't ask for much more than that.

5. Metal Gear Solid V: I feel like this should be higher but I can't find myself to put it above 5 and I have no idea why.

6. Resident Evil Revelations 2: Revelations felt much more like what I expect from Resident Evil and the return of Claire (my fav RE character) cements this in a top 10 list

7. Uncharted 4: I expect more of the same but improved (like Arkham Knight) and it to be very pretty with a fun multiplayer.

8. Zelda U: If I don't have a Wii-U by this time this game will make me buy it same day.

9. Until Dawn: As a fan of Heavy Rain/Fahrenheit it's clear I don't mind "hold x to ___" games. Add a horror setting (though cliched) and I'm all in.

10. Dying Light: A fun Dead Island, I'm in.

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End; ND is one of the best developers working today and I'm incredibly excited to see how they'll follow up TLoU.

2. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; It's a new MGS, nuff said.

3. Bloodborne; Dark Souls was one of the best games of last gen, and this looks like it could be even better, with incredible atmosphere and fast paced combat.

4. The Order: 1886; I have my concerns, but it looks beautiful, has an intriguing concept, and if it all comes together could be really great.

5. No Man's Sky; I love the concept, I hope it lives up to its promises and makes the act of exploration and discovery as fun as it sounds.

Looking through everyone else's lists, there are so few games I'm interested in.

I don't know whether this is because my interests just differ too much from everyone else. Or whether I'm getting tired of games...

I dunno, I'm just not interested in almost anything.

Will update and make pretty later.

1. Zelda Wii U; It's Zelda, what can I say.
2. MGSV; Was iffy on this game until Ground Zeroes, now I cannot wait to play it. The gameplay looks super polished and tons of fun.
3. Splatoon; Number one in my heart, Splatoon is a symbol of what I want more games to move towards: design first, pure fun, brilliant mechanics that just make sense.
4. Xenoblade X
5. Majora's Mask 3DS

1. Pillars of Eternity: I would be very surprised if this game does not release in 2015. It has already been delayed once from its original late 2014 release date. That being said, I'm immensely looking forward to this game. Make no mistake, I am a huge fan of all sorts of fantasy (especially dark and high fantasy). These text-heavy, story-rich, character-driven RPG games immerse me in ways that no other genre of games can (well, perhaps save a select few). I am a little bit concerned about how generic the setting seems to be, but I don't think that will bother me too much if the gameplay and story elements are solid. I don't really need developers/writers/designers to trip themselves over trying to re-invent the wheel or force innovation.

2. Bloodborne: Dark Souls is my game of the forever. I knew going in that I would enjoy the game; little did I know I would be engrossed for two solid weeks exploring the world and soaking in the atmosphere. There's just simply something special about these minimalist, gameplay-driven games where the audience is tasked to piece together the backstory and "currentstory". Dark Souls is very, very much like SoTC in that regard - another classic. I rank it #2 because I am not so enthused with the gothic, Victorian artstyle and setting. I love fantasy, but only a very specific type of fantasy with knights, dragons, magic, etc... Nevertheless, with Miyazaki at the helm, I don't have too many worries that the setting won't do justice to the Souls pedigree.

3. Xenoblade X: This is a bit of an odd choice for me. I've never played Xenoblade Chronicles. Yet, I love jRPGs and I'm always a fan of fantastic, expansive, beautiful settings. The prequel seems to have that in spades. I'm not surprised it ranks highly on Gaf's yearly Essential RPGs list. At this point, I'm really swept up in the hype. Can't wait until it releases sometime next year. Perfect timing for me to dig in. One caveat, I'm not so keen on the drab colour palette. It seems a step down from the bright colours of the prequel.

4. Legend of Zelda for WiiU: Similarly, I've never played a Zelda game before. Much less one on a flagship Nintendo console. But that reveal trailer has me hyped to the max. It looks great and the director promises an open-world experience. If done right, this could be a wonderful entry for newcomers who have not experienced the old formula and are not sure it appealed to them.

5. Torment - Tides of Numenera: Backed because I thoroughly enjoyed Planescape Torment. However, I'm doubtful this game will appear in 2015. That's what they project the release date to be, but we've seen how many delays Wasteland 2 received. Hence, the lower ranking. I do hope they take their sweet time with this, because it looks like it could be a gamechanger (for me). I can't say I'm a particularly fan of sci-fi mixed with fantasy (I like sci-fi standalone, a la Mass Effect or Legend of the Galactic Heroes), but there's something about the Numenera setting that's got my complete and rapturous attention. It just sounds amazing. The idea of remnants of not 1, but 9, hyper-advanced civilizations sends goosebumps down my spine (however silly the idea may be).

6. Persona 5: Persona 4 was amazing. One of my favourite games. Persona 3 was good, but not great. Now, it's 2014, and we're finally getting more and more glimpses of Persona 5. The reason why it ranks so low? #1, I'm not sure this will release in 2015 for North America. #2, I really do not like the design of the main character. He looks silly with that wavy haircut of his.

7. Witcher 3: I really, really enjoyed the Witcher 1 (though I'm adamant in believing the game's quality was not even. Chapter 4 was spectacular, but chapter 5 was mediocre and disappointing). I have yet to finish chapter 2 of the Witcher 2. It's changed the formula far too much for me. Whereas the first was an unabashed PC RPG, through and through... I feel like the second was marred by what are very obviously console-style RPG design decisions. From the behind-the-back camera to the far-more "actiony" combat, I feel as if CDProjecktRed has lost sight of what made Witcher 1 so good in their quest to chase a bigger audience. Nevertheless, I remain excited for the third installment because it looks so damn gorgeous (let's hope they pull through whatever dev difficulties they're currently and obviously experiencing). But my excitement remains tempered (reflected in the 7th rank) because I'm not a fan of Witcher 2 combat, which appears to be staying.

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : The conclusion to Nathan Drake's adventure. Naughty Dog. I'm pumped as hell and then some.

2. Quantum Break : In Remedy I trust. As a huge Max Payne and Alan Wake fan, this is a must.

3. The Order 1886 : Looks amazing graphically, looks like solid gameplay, great scenario and an interesting story. All the right ingredients for a great experience.

4. Assassin's Creed Victory : Despite Ubisoft fumbling Unity miserably, I'm a sucker for the AC series and will most definitely give this a spin unless it makes my PS4 explode.

5. Everybody's Gone to The Rapture : Unlike Rime (which would be very high up my list as well) Chinese Room's next game does have a tentative 2015 release date.

6. Project Cars : Finally.

7. Tearaway Unfolded : The game was incredible on the Vita and I can't wait to jump back into the papery world of Tearaway.

8. Life is Strange : An episodic story-focused adventure with two strong female leads is a promising combination, from the developers of Remember Me no less.

9. Until Dawn : Been looking forward to this since the first reveal.

10. Rise of the Tomb Raider : Although we know next to nothing about it yet I liked the reboot and will probably like this, too, unless it has Lara fighting aliens in space.

1. No Man's Sky : Not sure how well everything will be executed, but this is the game I've wanted to play since I first realized the medium would one day be capable of such a thing. My inner child and science geek have high expectations.
2. Uncharted 4 : A week ago this would have been number three or four, but after the PSX showing I'm really excited to see how else ND have managed to improve the gameplay.
3. Bloodborne : The alpha was really good and gave the impression the full game would present a challenge even for seasoned Souls players. Or at least those of us that leaned on our shields.
4. Zelda U : I barely have the time for one console right now, but I'm buying a Wii U just to play this game.
5. Witcher 3 : What has been shown looks promising and I'm hoping the delays are a sign of a commitment to quality rather than troubled development.
6. Rime : The art style alone is enough for me to open up my wallet, but the inspiration cited by the developer opens up the possibility for some really interesting design and is the reason Rime comes in at number six on my list.
7. The Order 1886 : Hoping the AI seen in recent videos is better at launch and player movement looks like it might feel slightly cumbersome. But, positive impressions from GAF combined with the atmosphere and soundtrack are convincing enough for me to hold onto my pre-order of the collectors edition.
8. Metal Gear Solid 5 : Less than five years ago this would have been an easy number one, but I've found my enjoyment of the series to be in decline since MGS3. However, Ground Zeroes showed potential and the recent MP unveiling looked interesting.
9. Rainbow Six: Siege : Small team battles in a highly destructible setting that lends itself to a lot of tense and potentially funny moments. I'm sold.
10. The Division : Would be higher, but well, Ubisoft.

1. Persona 5
2. Bloodborne
3. Uncharted 4
4. Ratchet and Clank
5. Rime
6. MGSV
7. Zelda U
8. XCX
9. Yakuza 5
10. The Order 1886

Top 5 are my favourites by far.

1. Yakuza 5: The long awaited entry is finally hitting the west. This is one of the greatest franchises I've ever had the pleasure to play, and is personally the most anticipated game for me.

2. Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain: Even though I considered the release of GZ to be in bad taste (40 bucks for a glorified demo), I eventually got around and bought the Japanese copy for a lower price. PP is however a different beast. As a longtime fan of the franchise, this game is a day one. I was initially skeptical to the whole open world approach, but after having played around in GZ and seen the footage from PP, I consider it to be a great decision from Kojima's part.

3. Uncharted 4: Among Thieves: What can you say about Naughty Dog that hasn't been said. The best studio in the world is coming out with a new entry from their most anticipated and arguably most successful franchise. Uncharted 4 looks absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

4. Tom Clancy's The Division: I've been waiting for this game for some time now, so it feels great that it's finally dropping next year. This is easily the most anticipated game from Ubisoft for me.

5. Gran Turismo 7: As a car enthusiast, this game is a must for me. I very much look forward to what Polyphony can bring out. I hope that they overhaul the sound in the game, as I'm sure that the graphics will be out of this world.

6. The Witcher 3: I've got to admit that I haven't played the earlier games, but TW3 just makes my jaw drop (before the downgrade that is). Very much looking forward to what CDPR has in store for us.

7. Rise of the Tomb Raider: I won't actually be able to play this as I don't own a XBONE, but I'm still hyped for it. I guess I'll have to watch it via walk-through like I did with Alan Wake (Which I enjoyed watching btw). Sucks that I won't be able to play it for a while, but I got to check it out.

8. The Order: 1886: Sony has a wonderful lineup of PS4 exclusives that are dropping in 2015, and The Order is one of them. I have a weak spot for historical games, and The Order gives me Tesla / Vampire vibes.

9. Until Dawn: I actually didn't care much about this game prior to PSX, but it won me over with that demo that they showed. The release date's kind of odd (summer) as it feels like it's a winter game, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.

10. Project CARS: Another car game that's coming out. I mainly want this because of the insanely realistic game play. I can't wait to try this with Project Morpheus once that drops.

Looking through everyone else's lists, there are so few games I'm interested in.

I don't know whether this is because my interests just differ too much from everyone else. Or whether I'm getting tired of games...

I dunno, I'm just not interested in almost anything.

We are about to have one of the absolute biggest years of gaming. There has to be something.

All games I anticipate are for the PC platform

madmlNH.jpg

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Almost everything I've seen and heard about this game makes me want it now, such as the open-ended gameplay, the one-shot cutscenes that will be shorter than previous games, a revenge-driven story of a man who will descend into villainy, returning features that I enjoyed from Peace Walker, and more!

I anticipate playing this game for a long, long time, especially with Metal Gear Online being included.

2. Ghost Song : After enjoying the 2D Metroid games such as Super Metroid and Zero Mission, I hunger for more for those style of games. I waited a bit to see if Nintendo would release another 2D Metroid for the DS and 3DS, but it was not to be. Now that I've sold all my Nintendo handhelds, it will be impossible to experience another Metroid if it's released.

Fortunately, Ghost Song looks to satiate this hunger with a gorgeous 2D art style and smooth gameplay. The beta also proves that a lot of care is going into this game. Therefore, I can't wait to explore the world and enjoy the atmosphere.

.... That's it. No other 2015 games I'm looking forward to. There are 2 2016 games but obviously those don't count.

Subject to change depending on caprice or whether there is a vowel in the day, this is all off the top of my head too so once I peruse the full thread no doubt ill be of a mind to change.

1. No man's sky: Love an exploration game and everything I've seen looks incredible, More excited by this that Elite TBH.

2. Persona 5: Not got in on the ground floor of a Persona before so looking forward to this.

3. Tearaway: The vita version bypassed the cynical part of my brain and made a poorly lamptramp all happy and soppy during a rotten sickly Xmas last year.

4. Rime: Looks so pretty and no combat makes me very intrigued

5. Pillars of Eternity: And an eternity it feels like it been coming. CRPG's return!

6. Cosmic star Heroine: Indie JRPG on my Vita, with futuristic styling? Yum!

7. The tomorrow Children: Co-op building, crafting and town management with those visuals, god I hope this is 2015.

8. The Order: TBH I wasn't massively looking forward to this as I'm not a fan of 3rdPS however I am a massive fan of anything in that period and Shinobi's recent posts on it have bumped it up my radar.

9. Massive Chalice: No sooner had I hit submit that I spotted someone else mentioning this, a turn based isometric X-COM style game with aging heroes and their offspring extending the game out longer, can't wait.

10. ??

a few weeks ago things like the Division would be on that list but given recent goings on I'm very much taking a "wait and see" approach to that.

1. Overwatch Beta
Could become one of the biggest esports on the planet.

2. Heroes of the Storm Beta
Looking to get into a MOBA on the ground floor. Feel like I'm too far behind in the others already.

3. Call of Duty 2015
Any exosuit bullshit and this falls off the list.

4. Xenoblade Chronicles X;
Always supporting the JRPG genre.

5. Bloodbourne
This guy has the magic formula.

6. Tales of Zestiria
Hopefully it goes back to the Vesperia epicness.

7. Rise of the Tomb Raider
Never thought I'd be looking forward to a tomb raider game.

8. Star Fox
I need to buy a Wii U.

9. Battlefront 3
If executed correctly this could be the greatest game in a decade. All of the chaos of battlefield except even more dense and filled with npc to for maximum epicness.

10. Not yet determined.

1. Zelda U
2. Xenoblade X
3. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
4. Majora's Mask
5. Bloodborne
6. MGS V
7. Halo 5
8. Star Fox

Edit: just mainly stuck to games that focus on gameplay rather than graphics. Not sure if Halo 5 or MGS 5 fit this category yet lol.

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: This recently jumped to #1 after an impressive showing at the PSX. Bruce Strately, Neal Druckmann, and the rest of the team at Naughty Dog are taking what they've learned from the Last of Us(which in turn was a successor to ideas they polished in Uncharted 2 from Uncharted 1) and applying them to their PS4 Uncharted debut. I wrote a longer post about my impressions, but the short version was I very impressed with all their various bits of growth they added to the core combat loop, and they can really get it to 60fps with that image quality, no doubt in my mind this could be the best Uncharted yet.

2. Arkham Knight: Just like 2009 and 2011, Rocksteady's got another Arkham game releasing the same calender year as Uncharted. Unlike UC2 -> 3, I thought City was a great expansion on the formula crafted in the first one, and I have a good feeling Rocksteady could make this the best Batman game yet. Only major thing I'm still sketchy on is the Batmobile. How fun is that gonna be, really? Not convinced yet, but I hope I will be.

3. Grim Fandango Remastered: One of those dream games of mine, a HD remastering of my all-time favorite adventure game. And it comes out next month!

4. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: Fact: Kirby and the Canvas Curve is not only the best Kirby game, but the greatest Nintendo DS game of all-time. One of the few titles that really took the time to really utilize the touch screen and stylus in a challenging, clever compact title. Rainbow Curse is the sequel on Wii U, which now looks like one of the few games on this Nintendo system to really use the Gamepad, with a godlike claymation style on top it. Need this shit like yesterday.

5. Ori and the Blind Forest: Another game I thought I was gonna play in 2014 until it was delayed. E3 debut trailer look like a gorgeous game, but one more focused on interactive storytelling than any skill-based game design. Which, ya know, cool! BUT! As it turns out, Moon Studios is very much indebted to 16-bit gems like Super Metroid. Its a Metroidvania with some interesting mechanics and tight platforming controls. Really looking forward to it.

6. Bloodborne: Not a huge D.Souls fan, honestly. But I respect the idea behind it. Bloodborne looks more my speed, namely the speed of the gameplay and the cool art direction.

7. Legend of Zelda U:
Don't know much about this one of course, but it could be great. 3D Zelda can't be THAT bad, right?

8. Metal Gear Solid 5: Fell out of love with Kojima's brand of storytelling years ago. MGS3 isn't as impressive when I'm not in middle school anymore. I'm more interested in the changes he and the rest of Konami(since this is the only thing those fuckers work on anymore) have made to the game design. The controls seem to have improved from the finicky contexual unclear set-up of earlier MGS games, and the semi-open world can provide a lot of opportunities for stealth improvisation and player ingenuity. And it's gonna look great on PC!

9. Aztez: Half-strategy sim, half single-plane beat 'em up, Aztez has a really cool Aztec concept and is being developed by a guy I think is pretty damn knowledgeable of action games. He seems to have the same interest in the foundations and mechanics of what makes beat'em'up/action games so fun.

10. Splatoon: A new IP from Nintendo, Splatoon looks like some Dreamcast-era Sega game that escaped from an alternate dimension. An off-beat attitude with a novel Nintendo twist on the shooter formula.

6. Uncharted 4

10. The Witcher 3

1. Mortal Kombat X | I'm a big fan of fighting games, and I loved what MK9 brought to its series so I can't wait to see how this one goes.

2. Bloodborne | I always loved the Soul's series, even if I suck ass at it. But Bloodborne is honestly in my most favorite setting ever, and I know I'll love the fuck out of it.

3. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD | I've been waiting forever to play this game, and now I'll finally get that chance.

4. Xenoblade Chronicles X | Never played XC, but damn.. What looks to be a really huge world, with mechs that you can use to travel all around, and beating on monsters? Fuck yes.

5. Star Wars: Battlefront | It's SW! Especially when it's coming to next-gen. Gah. I just don't know.

6. Until Dawn | This horror game seems up my alley.

7. Mario Maker | I've longed for something like this.

---------------------------

I would add these games, but we know they're not coming out in 2015. :p

- Scalebound
- The Legend of Zelda
- Silent Hills
- The Devil's Third

7. Yoshi Woolly World
8. Kirby U

9. Arkham Knight
10. Xenoblade X

Would have FFXV on there but the English release won't be 2015.

1. The Legend of Zelda for Wii U
I'm a huge Zelda fan and everything about this game looks awesome, so there's no contest for me. :D

2. Xenoblade Chronicles X
And I'm a huge RPG-fan, Xenoblade Chronicles blew my away on the Wii, so it's easily #2 in my list. :)

3. Batman: Arkham Knight
My first Batman was Arkham City and it was an awesome experience, can't wait to play the next one, it looks gorgeous. :)

4. Splatoon
This game looks really promising and I hope it allows for 4-play-offline-play, this would awesome. :)

5. No Man's Sky
Beatiful game, beautiful concept, really looking forward to it. :)

That's it for the moment, can't decide on the other games, but there are still a lot of games like Witcher 3, Uncharted 4 & Bloodborne.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X : Looks to be the most impressive JRPG for a while and seems to be truly epic in scale.

2. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. : I didn't really expect this game to be so high up on my list originally but Intelligent Systems is one of my favourite studios of all time, they've rarely disappointed me. IS's take on Valkyria Chronicles/X-COM? Count me in.

3. Splatoon : Probably the most unique game I've seen for a while. Beautiful art direction and it looks to be packed with wacky, interesting mechanics. Seems like a much needed, fresh take on the genre.

4. Bloodborne : Looks to be similar to Dark Souls but with an art direction/atmosphere that is infinitely more appealing to me. Can't go wrong with that combination.

5. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) : In the middle of the list because we don't know too much about the game overall. Although I'm excited about the footage already shown, I can't really put it much higher when details have been so light.

6. The Order: 1886 : I was unimpressed with the footage of this originally and while some of the mechanics are 'more of the same', I'm a sucker for Victorian period pieces.

7. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse : Canvas Curse is a DS classic and the art style of this game is gorgeous.

8. Mario Maker : Infinitely more excited for this after the new details. An official, Mario level maker is something I've wanted for a long time.

9. Rime : Seems highly reminiscent of ICO/SotC. I'm really interested in a whimsical adventure in that sort of vein.

10. No Man's Sky : Couldn't think of much else to put here, to be honest, but this seems like the best fit. Will definitely pick it up.

1. Witcher 3: Just cannot find any fault with what I've seen this far. Easily my most anticipated game of next year.
2. Xenoblade X: How can you not love that world just from the trailers alone?
3. Uncharted 4: After the recently released gameplay vid, improvements look huge.
4. Rime: I just like the look of the serenity in this game and calmness, the art style is also gorgeous.
5. Zelda Wii U: Can't wait to get stuck into this as well.
6. Silent Hill: P.T. was interesting, but wasn't really too scared. Hoping the full game can freak me out, like it did the first time.
7. The Order 1866: Interesting concept, feel the gameplay will be more engaging than trailers have us believe so far.
8. MGS V: Really more interested in MGO rather than the standalone game to be honest.
9. Rise of the Tomb Raider: Would be higher up the list but dat timed exclusivity!
10. Star Wars Battlefront: Will probably have had my fill of BF4 by then and not really interested in CoD or Hardline.

1) Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Naughty Dog have yet to fail me, and it just looks ridiculously amazing.
2) Pillars of Eternity: Obsidian has the best writers in the business so a new game from them is always worth looking forward to.
3) Everybody's Gone to the Rapture: Can't get enough of those totally-not-a-game walk-a-thons™.
4) No Man's Sky: Looks like the dreams of spaceflight I had as a kid.
5) Volume: I adored Thomas was Alone so I'm excited for what is next for Bithell.
6) Rime: A gorgeous adventure awaits.
7) Firewatch: The art alone makes me interested and what they've showed so far seems cool.
8) The Witcher 3: A massive RPG and the two first parts were amazing but it will probably kill my PC
9) Persona 5: Would be higher if they showed more of the game already...
10) The Division: Massive Entertainment have a great track record so I'm optimistic

Reserving my spot. Just my initial list at this moment (not ordered):

- No Man's Sky
- The Witcher 3
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- Firewatch
- Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
- The Division

Most hyped for the 1st three games at moment, then drops down as these next games have uncertain PC releases in 2015.
