NeoGAF Votes: Most Anticipated 2015 Game (voting ends January 1st, 11:59 PM EST)

1. Broken Age - Act 2 : Act 1 was the one game of the kickstarter adventures that felt most fresh, while still understanding the genre. A meatier Act 2 is going to be awesome.

2. The Witcher 3 : I just want more of what The Witcher 2 did.

3. Invisible Inc : Rogulike turnbased espionage game. What's not to like?

4. Off World Trading Company : Economic RTS by Soren Johnson

5. No Man's Sky : I would be ok with a procedurally generated Journey in space. If I get more then that, all the better.

6. Grim Fandango Remastered : Don't feel that it needs any comments.

7. Massive Chalice : Already tried the beta, but waiting for hybrid classes before I jump in.

8. GTA V (PC) : Waiting for this to continue the game with a descent framerate.

9. Below : New from Capy, trailer was great.

10. Firewatch : Don't know exactly what it is, but I know I want to test it.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X : A big budget JRPG from a talented developer. Sign me in.
2. Splatoon : Great artstyle and a bucketload of originality.
3. Bloodborne : No one thing has gotten me really hyped for this yet, but
given the pedigree of the team, I'm sure I'll not be disappointed. Played through
all the Souls games multiple times. Something which I don't do often. Essentially the reason I bought a PS4.
4. Persona 5 : Loved 3 and 4.
5. Zelda U : Kinda scared the game will be rushed if it comes out 2015. Don't
want another Wind Waker travesty.
6. Code Name S.T.E.A.M : Crap artstyle, but I'm always ready for an Intelligent
Systems strategy game. Great soundtrack too.
7. Yoshi's Woolly World : Finally a Yoshi game that looks like the team behind it is
competent. Loved Epic Yarn too.
8. Uncharted 4 : I'll play it and find it entertaining like the previous games. I hope it's
a bit more substantial as a game though.
9. Batman Arkham Knight : That Batmobile looked fun.
10. Star Fox Wii U

Silent Hills would be up there, but I don't think that's been confirmed for 2015.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Long time fan of the series, so this one is a given.
2. Bloodborne - Next-gen Souls, nuff said. This is the game that'll make me buy a PS4.
3. Uncharted 4
4. Persona 5
5. Persona 4: Dancing All Night - Rhythm game + Persona soundtrack = Yes.
6. Resident Evil HD Remaster
7. Batman: Arkham Knight
8. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
9. Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Expectations aren't crazy high but I liked the first one and love the RE series in general.
10. The Order: 1886 - To be honest, I was kinda drawing a blank here. I'm interested in The Order, but not really hyped. Whether or not I'll actually buy it will largely depend on the critical reception. I guess the best way to put it is that I hope it'll be good but I'm not confident that it'll be.

1. Uncharted 4: Shot way up on my wanted list with the PSX demo. Fantastic looking, with AI cues from TLOU and much smoother looking traversal and combat.

2. Metal Gear Solid V: Can't wait. To be honest, I don't know that I'm as big a fan of MGS as I used to be. I'm still excited for the latest installment, and enjoyed MGS: GZ for what it was, but wished for something more. Maybe this will be it.

3. Hyper Light Drifter: Awesome looking game.

4. Axiom Verge: Give me all the metroidvanias.

5. Chasm: More metroidvania/roguelikes.

6. Titan Souls: SotC + 2D Zelda? Sign me up.

7. The Witcher 3: Not sure I'll get this so soon after Dragon Age, but it looks good.

These are the ones I'm most excited about, everything else is just kinda tied for third-place in my mind.

1. Bloodborne
2. Amplitude - excited to see what this looks like in HD

So far it seems like the front runners are:

Uncharted 4
Persona 5
Zelda Wii U
Bloodborne

Should be exciting to see who takes the crown this year :)

1: Uncharted 4: What we have seen is incredibly exciting. It has made strides in the gameplay department that I didn't expect. Wait till we get to see an actual setpiece. Brains will melt.

2: Bloodborne: Absolutely loved Demons Souls and Dark Souls. With the director of both those games behind it and the incredible setting it takes place in, I have.

3: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : Not a fan of open world games, but Kojima's take should be very interesting.

4: The Witcher 3: Only going with this based on purely what other members of GAF have said about this franchis. Of course the trailers look stunning and the subject matter is of my interest.

Rest to be added.

5. Tekken 7
6. Mortal Kombat X
7. Tales of Zestiria
8. The Witcher 3

And just in case FFXV can't be considered in any possible way for 2015 for this list, then just shift the list up and add "Rime" as number 10.

1. Yakuza 5

There are plenty of games coming out next year that I will get and believe will be great. But I'm not anticipating any of them. While the wait has been nothing compared to what fans of Shenmue and Half-Life have put up with, knowing that Yakuza 5 actually existed but was unavailable without resorting to using a fan guide, it's been devastating for me. My legit favourite series, with superb characterisation and storytelling which treads a lovely line between serious and goofy, is finally having what appears to be its magnum opus (of the PS3 versions anyway) hitting Western shores.

Anticipating? That doesn't even come close to describing how barmily excited I am to play this game. The only issue I have with the digital only release is that it will hinder me from buying the game multiple times.

1. The Witcher 3: Thoroughly enjoyed the second instalment of the series (have yet to attempt playing the first unfortunately, I should get around to it some time), the story was strong and had fairly strong dialogue options and I can only imagine that given an open world the Witcher styled game play would thrive, similarly to Dragon Age but perhaps even better.

2. The Legend of Zelda (Wii U): Been a fan of Zelda since I can remember, played almost all instalments of the series sans some of the more recent hand-held iterations (Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds) and I think it's great they're going back to the open world style of game progression, especially now that it can be so much more expansive and interconnected. As much as I like Skyrim and Dragon Age: Inquisition, the puzzles seemed to be lacking in complexity or relation to the world-state, and I'm hoping Zelda with its tradition of map-wide puzzles can bring something new into the arena of open-world design.

3. Hyper Light Drifter: Played the demo in November, love the drawings and art style, and the game play was extremely fun (albeit I hope they polish it up a bit, the timing of some stuff bugged me a bit).

4. Broken Age Act 2: Enjoyed the first half, Double Fine are really consistent in creating lovely short-story worlds and while the point&click game play could be a bit tiring and tedious at times (walking around trying to figure out what I missed clicking to proceed to the next area) the art style is absolutely stunning. Also waited a hell of a long time for the second half.

5. Silent Hills: To be fair, I've never played any of the previous Silent Hill instalments, or any Metal Gear Solid games, but I love Del Toro and I love the idea of a movie director getting involved with an interactive narrative. Whether it's a game I'll enjoy or not, I'm hoping upon its release it may inspire more movie directors and people from other art-based backgrounds to become interested in what interactivity can bring to the table concerning narratives.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X
2. Witcher 3 (If it comes out next year)
3. Zelda Wii U
4. Arkham Knight
5. Persona V
6. Starfox U
7. Bloodbourne
8. MGSV Phantom Pain
9. Splatoon
10. Final Fantasy XV

1. Persona 5:
Seven years in the making, the next mainline entry of the Persona series is finally coming out. Persona 3 and Persona 4 are among my favorite games of all time, and the game is backed by a truly talented team of developers who have yet to make something I've disliked. There's no way this wouldn't be my most anticipated game.

DmWrsjK.png

2. Dai Gyakuten Saiban:
A new Ace Attorney entry, one of my favorite series ever. The game's only confirmed for Japan right now, but it is one of my most anticipated titles regardless and I am hoping that there will be a localization announcement as well as a 2015 release in North America as well.

VdpHRkm.png

3. Bloodborne:
I've had a good time with all of the Souls games, and this is the next one. I'm bummed there doesn't seem to be any magic in the game, but that'll mean I'll have to change my playstyle for this one, and that's an interesting prospect.

ZIl1PDR.png

4. Persona 4: Dancing All Night:
So out of all the announced Persona games over the past years, this game is probably the one I'm the least excited for, but it's also probably the craziest. A Persona rhythm game is certainly something I want to experience, even though I'm not confident I'll be too into it. P Studio hasn't let me down yet, so this could actually turn out to be surprisingly fun.

Barring any surprise releases such as FF15, KH3, the new Rare Title, or Fallout 4(Though that one wouldn't surprise me or many here I would imagine) my list probably be...

1. Persona 5: The next entry in a series which last two games have been a few of the most beloved titles in all of the JPRG genre. The story and characterization are always top notch, and the social link features will probably be expanded. I'm hoping for a happy medium of the darkness of Persona 3 and the humor of Persona 4, but either way, while the wait has been long, I have no doubt that Atlus will deliver.
2. Zelda Wii U: I've always been a bit of a Nintendo fanboy, and as such, a huge Zelda fan. When we all first saw the gameplay trailer at E3, I had a feeling we were in for something special, and the recent news gameplay from the Game Awards only further confirmed that in my mind. The series has always been about the sense of grand adventure, and a massive open world will only allow for new highs.
3. Metal Gear Solid 5: While I wasn't completely blown away by MGS4, the last two E3 trailers for the Phantom Pain have amped up my hype for the next entry in the series to an incredible high. I can't wait to see what Kojima can do with powerful new hardware.
4. Bloodborne: This and UC4 will be the games that get me to buy a PS4. Hell, if Sony were to release this in a bundle, it would be really difficult for me to show restraint and not get it well before the later even comes out. I'm a huge fan of the Souls series, and while I am slightly worried that From Software might not be able to reach quite the same highs as they did with Dark Souls, I have little doubt that it will be a terrific game. Did I mention the art direction? Some of the best I have ever seen in a game.
5. Star Wars Battlefront
6. Uncharted 4
7. Quantum Break
8. Halo 5
9. Batman Arkham Knight
10. Rise of the Tomb Raider

I will edit in my reasons later.

1. Bloodborne: It looks to be a perfect marriage of gameplay and amazing art like the Souls games before it Everything I've seen looks like it will hit the right notes can't wait.

2. Uncharted 4: In a world without Bloodborne this is a stone cold lock at the first spot, I just love the series and what ND does, makes me NEED whatever they make.

3. No Mans Sky: Some don't get what you do in it, at this point the more "gamey" aspects are irrelevant to me it has a certain something I can't put my finger on what, but I need it and have needed since it was first shown at VGX.

4. The Phantom Pain: Kojima is a God no need to go into details on why I am anticipating a game from him.

5. Star Fox: I don't need to see anything I just know I need Star Fox in my life again this spot would have belonged to Zelda U and maybe it should go to that because I've seen more and I need more but nah I'll rock with Star Fox for now.

Honorable mentions to: I'll probably be getting just about everything from the Order, to Until Dawn to Halo 5 in general I anticipate 2015 as a whole because it's looking damn good :)
Edit: Persona 5 I should feel ashamed for forgetting you but P4G is a 10/10 I hope you are too dammit ;_;

My list:
1. Zelda (Wii U):looks like it's going to be an amazing game. Love everything I've seen of it so far.
2. Splatoon (Wii U): i wasn't too interested in back at e3 as a multilayer only game, but I've been enamored since the latest trailer. It's the mix of a 3rd person shooter, Mario Galaxy, and Mario Sunshine I never knew I always wanted.
3. Star Fox (Wii U): it's star fox! We haven't had a console Star Fox in so long and I've been hankering for one for quite awhile.
4. Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U): Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii was one of the best JRPGs last generation. This one should be the same for this one I've what we've seen of the game and the competition is to be believed
5. Persona 5 (PS3/PS4): Persona 3 and 4 were so great, can't wait for more.
6. Majora's Mask 3D (3DS): Majora's Mask is probably my favorite Zelda game. An improved game seemingly running at 60fps is pretty exciting.
7. Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U): It's the happiest looking game I've ever seen.
8. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (Wii U): Haven't played the spiritual prequel, but it looks fun and beautiful.
9. Batman Arkham Knight (PS4/PC/X1): Looks like more of the same, but the Batman Arkham games have a good formula.
10. Devil's 3rd (Wii U): Looks extremely rough...but fun? Hope it's good.

1. Uncharted 4 : the final chapter? loved 1 + 2. can't wait to play as Naughty Dog, I mean Nathan Drake again.

2. Arkham Knight : loved arkham asylum. everything i've seen is mindblowing.

3. Heroes of Might and Magic III: HD Edition - love this game. spent many hours on it. can't wait for the tablet version.

4. REsident Evil HD Remastered : played halfway through the import of this when I was in 2nd grade - can't wait todive back in

5. Grim Fandango Remastered - missed the first one, loved LA games back in the day though

1. Final Fantasy XV: JUST LOOK AT THE TRAILER!!!!
2. MGSV: The Phantom Pain: JUST LOOK AT THE TRAILER!!!!
3. Final Fantasy Type 0: Mainly because it's a bit of a mystery - it's the first game I've been really gutted about not getting a Western release and it had some pretty great reviews - I just want to play a good Final Fantasy again, it's been too long!
4. The Witcher III - Never played a Witcher game before, but it looks huge and the series gets such good ratings - that many people surely cannot be wrong.
5. Persona 5 - Again, never played a Persona game, but I hear excellent things, hopefully I'll like it so much I'm compelled to go back and play the old ones, it would be great ot have another series to get into.
6. Tearaway Unfolded - I'm excited to see what MM can do with an extensive single player campaign.
7. Uncharted 4 - Just because.
8. Rime - Looks beautiful, and everyone loves ICO.
9. Virginia - A little Twin Peaks / X-files inspired game - http://www.theverge.com/2014/7/3/5865793/virginia-twin-peaks-video-game
10.. Zelda Wii U - only this low because I won't get a Wii U for a while.

5. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: More Monster Hunter
6. Hotline Miami 2: More Hotline Miami
7. Uncharted 4: I have only played Uncharted 2 but I really liked it and this looks like more of Uncharted but stuff learned from TLU.
8. Rise of the Tomb Raider: Got the first on day 1 and liked it. I don't think the formula is going change much so this will most likely be good too.
9. No Man's Sky: I'm bit vary about this but it looks interesting and something I have to try out.
10. Hyper Light Drifter: Love the look.

My picks:

  • Persona 5
This is without a doubt my most anticipated game in a very long time. I was holding onto my PS3 for this but now that its coming to PS4 I'm even more ecstatic.

  • Code Name: STEAM
I think the graphics look like shit and the storyline is wtfstupid but, but the gameplay looks great. And they are a great developer as well. So yes I am excited.

  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Haven't played this and always wanted to. So I will.

  • The Witcher 3
I don't think this needs much explanation.

  • Batman Arkham Knight
    Same goes for this one.

  • Fossil Fighters Frontiers
I loved both these games on the DS, very very VERY fun creature collecting game.

  • Godzilla (PS4)
I'm a pretty Godzilla fan so...

  • Just Cause 3
I'm excited but cautious, since those screenshots did have microtrans stuff on it.

  • Ratchet and Clank
Probably the best 3D platforming series... ever. So again no explanation needed.

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End :
Uncharted was the game I bought a PS3 for so the series continuation is probably my most anticipated title on the Sony platform

2. The Division :
I know Ubi has a bad rep recently (and well deserved) but I haven't played a bad Massive game and I really think they want to nail this one. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a boring snooze (with repeated areas and baddies like Destiny)

3. Just Cause 3 :
I really liked JC2 so I hope more of the same, though the micro transaction screenshots are terrifying. I hope they don't run this game's potential into the ground by making everything extra

Really for me 2015 looks pretty bad in terms of games I'm anticipating. I am excited for Crackdown but I don't believe it will arrive in 2015, I like the idea of Quantum Break but the recent gameplay videos have been a bit of Meh, No Man's Sky looks neat but I have a feeling that it will wear out it's welcome quickly, I cannot see it even coming close to living up to it's lofty goals, Bloodborne is not my type of game since I hate punishing type of games that don't respect my limited play time and I despise pretty much everything in the MGS universe. Halo has long since wore out it's welcome.

1: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
2: Pillars of Eternity

5: Persona 5

7: Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
8: Grand Ages: Medieval
9: Darkest Dungeon
10: No Man's Sky

So hard, because 2015 could very well be the one of the best years in the history of the medium, but here goes.

1. Bloodborne : More focus on offensive gameplay mixed with Miyazaki level design and what looks like some of the best art direction ever? Yes, please.

2. Uncharted 4 : Uncharted was always a good series, but that demo of 4 looks majestic. I love that freeform combat design.

3. Axiom Verge : This could be one of the great Metroidvanias. It looks like Tom Happ has all aspects nailed and I can't wait to play it.

4. Starfox : Sure, we know almost nothing about it. But the first two games in the series are some of my favourite games of all time and Nintendo is on a roll lately.

5. Cuphead : I love cartoons so a game that combines that classic cartoon look with Treasure style gameplay is a must for me.

6. Zelda U : Zelda is such a wonderful franchise, even though I fear it will never top Majora's Mask. Still, the graphics style is wonderful and Nintendo is doing lots of things right lately, as stated before, so I have high hopes.

7. Rime : Those graphics! No combat! Puzzles, platforming, adventure. That Edge preview got me as hyped as the trailers.

8. Metal Gear Sold 5: The Phantom Pain : Those trailers and demo's sold me. I love the attention to detail, all the crazy quirks only Kojima seems to come up with and the freedom you have in tackling objectives.

9. Superhot : Sorry Witcher 3, I'm more interested in this Polish game. The whole idea of time only moving when you move is really great and the devs seem to come up with excellent scenarios for it. Nice abstract graphics style as well.

10. Devil's Third : I love character action, but unless Revengeance 2 will come out next year, this is probably my best bet. I thought the E3 demo looked like a heap of fun, just in need of some polish. Itagaki made great action games like Ninja Gaiden Black and the lesser, but still excellent Ninja Gaiden 2, so he should be able to pull this off.

1. Splatoon: This is a new IP from Nintendo and the main focus seems to be the online gameplay, I'm not an online shooter fan, but this is not about headshots and killing streaks, this is more about strategy painting, also I love the character design.

2. Zelda U: I love Zelda games and this is looking pretty interesting so far, this is the Nintendo IP that I wanted the most to see how it looks in the Wii U.

3. Batman Arkham Knight: I don't have a PS4 or XBOX1 yet, this is the game that its going to make me buy one of the above consoles, I still don't know which one though, I loved previous Batman games on my PS3 and this looks like its going to continue on the right path.

4. Xenoblade Chronicles X: That firs one is one of my favorite RPGs of all time.

5. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: I really like the past 2 MH games, its been a while for this one to come (I'm waiting since MH4 no MH4G)

6.Mario Maker: I love Mario 2D platformers, I usually don't like to create levels and stuff but this one is looking very intuitive thanks to the gamepad and stuff like shaking enemies to change them. Also people already know how to create Mario levels they been doing this stuff for a while, so the possibilities for cool levels are endless.

7. Code name STEAM: Maybe not popular opinion but I trust the makers of the best 3DS game so far.

8. Kirby and the Rainbow Course: Canvas course was pretty good, this the sequel that no one was expecting and I'm glad is coming.

9. Tearaway Unfolded: Even If I don't buy a PS4 I can play this on my brothers PS4, I'm glad I don't have to buy a Vita anymore for this.

10. Metal Gear Solid V: MGS4 is the only of the series I have played and I enjoyed it a lot.

1 - Zelda Wii U: A completely 3D open-world Zelda that looks to go above and beyond Nintendo's typical developmenty style. Who wouldn't want that?
2 - Bloodborne: Love the Souls series, and seeing a real next-gen version of From's popular dungeon crawler is my kind of thing
3 - The Witcher 3: The Witcher series has been a passionate one of mine, and to finally have an open world filled to the brim with exploration sounds just amazing.
4 - Batman: Arkham Knight: Fuck yes please more Batman.
5 - No Man's Sky: Sci-fi, what more could I ask for.
6 - Final Fantasy XV: An open-world FF? Fuck yes.
7 - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Mmm, Metal Gear
8 - Grand Theft Auto V for PC: Mods are going to make this game amazing
9 - Overwatch: I'm pretty confident Blizzard's new IP will be very interesting, and can't wait to see it in action
10 - Xenoblade Chronicles X: Have you seen that mecha gif?

History lesson:

1. RIME; Amazing visuals and reminds me of PS2 era Team ICO. Those were the days.
2. Infamous Second Son; Great character designs and NEON! I love NEON, now if only the game plays synth everytime you use it.
3. The Evil Within; Mikami's return to survival horror. Do I need to say anymore?
4. Ryu Ga Gotoku Ishin; Feudal Japan era samurai action. Sign me up for a Western release!
5. Guilty Gear Xrd; I'm ready for more heaven and hell action. Character design look amazing in 3D.
6. The Order 1886; Love the fog, the setting and mustaches. Hopefully it all comes together for an amazing experience.
7. Shadow of the Beast; Return of a side scrolling classic, can't wait to carve my path forward.
8. DriveClub; Fantastic arcade style racing with challenges around every corner. Please be 60...
9. Witcher 3; The world looks sublime and one I can't wait to explore as the Witcher.
10. Alien Isolation; Finally an Alien game that takes cues from the original superior film.

So my most anticipated got delayed, Second Son on time and delivered a great experience, lost interest in the evil within when I heard of the frame issues and the fact it's not quite the return of the horror genre, Ishin didn't get Western release and lost interest, no euro release for Xrd, Order 1886 looking like beautifully boring #1886 cinematic title and also delayed, Shadow of the Beast went out of sight, Driveclub bombed, Witcher 3 delayed and also lost interest in Alien Isolation. But you know what? I have good feeling about 2015.

Adjusted list after looking at the 2015 PS4 titles thread, can't believe I forgot about ABZU and AlienNation. Well, goodbye DQH and the witness...

1. Bloodborne: What is there to say that hasn't been said, the game is what you expect from a souls title just replace souls with blood. I am not tired of the series yet.
2. Batman Arkham Knight: Ready for the finale and Im glad the batmobile could join to make for what clearly will be a thrilling experience.
3. Uncharted 4 A Thief's End: Stunning attention to detail with open ended level design. The lessons learnt from TLOU have surely come in handy.
4. RIME: If Team ICO wont make a Team ICO style game well then someone will. Looks like moving art and with a setting I can't wait to explore. Please no more delays.
5. Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain: I hate Kojima for making me want another Metal Gear but the guy knows how to move a franchise forward with every sequel.
6. Mortal Kombat X: A franchise I once thought I never would come back to before the amazing revival. Now I can't wait to see how the story progresses and enjoy the vast content.
7. ALIENNATION: I adore Dead Nation on the PS3 and I'm glad they decided to go else where with a follow-up while keeping a similar feel except with supercharged gameplay.
8. ABZU: Swimming stages have never been popular but I bet this is one under sea adventure that's going to be very fun to play and explore.
9. Yakuza 0: Kiryu and Majima in the 80s ? Yeah Im on board and there's hope we may get it in the West by the end the year, #BuildTheList.
10. Grim Fandango Remastered: One of those game I always wanted to experience and now I can. Time to relax, sit back and witness a story with great humor and characters.

1. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD: This game is number 1 mainly because it's coming out so soon. It looks awesome and I skipped Type-0 on PSP. Zelda or Xenoblade or even Persona would be higher, but those feel a ways away.
2. Zelda Wii U: Zelda is one of my favorite series in gaming. I don't even typically like open-world games but everything we've seen of this game looks nothing short of incredible, and the analyses I've seen of the trailers make me giddy with delight.
3. Xenoblade Chronicles X: The trailers for this game are some of my favorite trailers of all-time. I didn't even like Xenoblade that much but something about this game just gets me pumped.
4. Codename S.T.E.A.M.: Admittedly, there's a huge gap between this game and the first three I listed. The trailers we've seen look....alright. However, I have faith in Intelligent Systems. Also, this game looks similar to Valkyria Chronicles, which isn't a game I liked very much, but the concept of "Valkyria Chronicles, but designed by Intelligent Systems," has a ton of potential imo, since I thought VC felt really good conceptually.
5. Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken: This is a spot that I wanted to put DanganRonpa 3 in but apparently it's not confirmed for 2015 even in Japan. This game looks really good, though I kind of doubt Shu Takumi after not liking Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney and getting some similar-ish vibes from this game. Still, it's Ace Attorney so I'm hyped.
6. Persona 5: There are a few reasons this is so low. We've hardly seen anything from it, and I just have this sinking feeling it's not gonna make 2015. Also, Persona 4 is the only Persona game that I felt was truly great. Despite all of this, I'm really hoping this game is great and I'm feeling like it will be.
7. Amplitude: Love me some Harmonix games. The Frequency/Amplitude-style is no Rock Band drumming but it's a lot of fun. Donated 70$ to this shit too so I'm kind of obligated to put it on here.
8. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round: I really like DoA5 though admittedly I haven't followed it too much. I want to get back into it with this game though. Not much else to say here, it's just a really solid fighting game imo.
9. Splatoon: That last trailer looked awesome. Really inventive concept, and I have faith in the teams at Nintendo. Only reason it's not higher is because I'm not too fond of shooters.
10. Rodea the Sky Soldier: Wild card game here, I've just been really interested in it for a while and the latest trailer makes it look cool. Plus I really want to support quality quirky Japanese action games since we really don't get enough of those these days.

Armikrog is my runner-up.

1. Bloodborne - It's the dark, gothic ARPG of my dreams. Miyazaki/FROM is seemingly taking everything they've learned from previous Souls games to make a new and better game. Gameplay, story, setting, monster and weapon-designs looks amazing and are incredibly creative and dark. In my eyes, this might be the true successor and evolution of Dark Souls.

2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - The last chapter of one of my favourite series. The new gameplay demo looked amazing both gameplay-wise and visually. With Straley and Druckmann as directors there's no doubts.

3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - MGS is one of my favourite series and how can It not be with such a creative and eccentric mastermind of a gamedesigner at the helm. I find it ambitious of Kojima to take on a very storydriven open-world game and if he succeeds it'll be amazing. The story alone in these games are reason enough to buy them either way lol

4. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

5. RIME

I'm also assuming Street Fighter V is a 2016 game or it would definitely be on the list.

I'd be in the dick
Honestly, next year is so stacked that my excitement for most of these games is about equal. Going to be a great year. Note, I left out games on platforms I don't own yet since I'm purposely ignoring them until I can for sure play them.

1) Uncharted 4: A Thief's End-I was already a massive fan of the franchise but the PSX demo showed off an exact evolution of the formula that I would have done if I was directing the game.

2) The Order: 1886-I adore the setting and have been rooting for Ready at Dawn to show they can carry a AAA IP. Gorgeous visuals combined with strong shooting in the most recent demo have alleviated a lot of my worries. I think this game is going to wind up being something special for people like me who enjoy cinematic games.

3) Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain-Purposely going on as much of a blackout as I can for this one or else I'd be consumed with hype. I love this series and the gameplay evolution in Ground Zeroes felt great. Finally getting the main course after the tiny appetizer that was GZ.

4) Batman: Arkham Knight-There are few things as satisfying in gaming as stalkin' and smackin' fools as the goddamn Batman.

5) Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number-I'm rarely a fan of score attack games or highly difficult games but Hotline Miami's brutal old-school style, frantic pace, and pulsing music pull me in and keep my hands glued to the sticks for hours.

6) No Man's Sky-I love that such an ambitious project is being taken on by a small team. Seems like the perfect game to just relax and see where things take you.

1. Final Fantasy XV : Final Fantasy X (no hate!) was just something else for me. It blew my tiny little teenage mind at how very good games can be as an immersive journey like no other. Since then I've been a huge FF fan and I really think this will be a big return to the form for the series. The settings and characters are looking great & the battle system looks fun (please be good!).

2. Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain : I'm also a huge MGS fan. MGS3 for me is one of the masterpieces of gaming. I've tried to stay in a media blackout for this game but the bits I have seen look like based Kojima is creating his craziest yet. Loving what I've seen so far and loving the comedy. Looking forward to his madness once again.

3. Persona 5 : Persona is such a great series. I love the heck out of 3 and 4. The writing, characters and setting in particular are just too good. It's been too long (5 years) and I can't wait to see it in 1080p on PS4 (Thanks based Atlas). Please bring it out in Europe next year Atlas! ;(

4. Batman: Arkham Knight : If you said a couple of years ago to me that there was going to be Batman game that was not only a great Batman game but also a great game on it's own I would thought you mad. Yet Rocksteady have done the impossible and I'm glad they did. This game looks simply amazing. Can't wait to get my keys to the mobile.

5. Bloodborne : What can you say? The Souls games are just like the gravy of gameplay... soo... good. And also a great MP experience to boot. This looks to be a great twist on that formula. Can't wait to explore that dark damp city.

6. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate : Probably one of the best MP experiences ever. My mate and I love the hell out of this series and am looking forward to losing hundreds of hours once more.

7. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : Love Uncharted, they get that blend of gameplay and light story perfectly and this one looks to be keeping that on with a dash of Last of Us. Just looks awesome as well.

8. Rime : Any game that reminds me of one of my fave games of all time (Shadow of the Colossus) will always get my attention. It just looks like art.

9. The Legend of Zelda : I'm not the biggest Zelda fan out there but they are great fun games to play. And Ninty really seem to be pushing forward with this one. All the footage looks fantastic. And my Wii U might be justified after all (for my tastes).

10. Hellblade : My hail mary pick. I like what Ninja Theory did a lot with Heavenly Sword and Enslaved, they focused on the story and it paid off. Really looking forward to see how this one turns out.

My first anticipation post! Was fun! What a year next year is turning out to be. A FF, MGS and a Persona in the same year.... I don't like going outside anyways :p

1. Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain: Metal Gear is my favorite franchise of all time and i'm looking forward to play the missing chapter of Big Boss's story.

2. Star Wars Battlefront: Really looking forward to see DICE's take on Battlefront. Just hoping they are staying loyal to the original games.

3. Bloodborne: The spiritual successor of the Souls series. Dark Souls was my GOTG last gen so i can't wait to see what FROM has stored with this game.

4. Batman - Arkham Knight: The final chapter of the Arkham games. Loved all previous games so can't wait for this one.

5. Resident Evil HD Remastered: The best survival horror of all time, now on PC. I don't need to say anything else.

1. Yakuza 5: I've been waiting for this for a very long time, and I had started to give up hope that we would ever get it. The announcement of its localization was the biggest announcement of the year for me, and I know that I'm going to spend a lot of time with this game.
2. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter: Another localization that I've been waiting a long time for. I had hoped it would be out this year, but I know that the wait is going to be worth it. I'm really excited to see how they follow things on from that cliffhanger.
3. Persona 5: It's been six years since Persona 4, so this is well overdue. We still know almost nothing about this game, but I'm excited to see what they've changed up, and what the characters are like. I hope the dungeons are handled better than in 3 and 4.
4. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Xenoblade was one of my favorite games of the previous generation, and everything we've seen of this game looks great. (What we've heard, not so much, but I can listen past Sawano's garbage for a great game) I believe in Takahashi and Monolith Soft.
5. The Legend of Zelda for Wii U: We haven't seen a lot yet, but it looks beautiful, and Aonuma is talking a big game. After Link Between Worlds, I think they have what it takes to create a more open Zelda experience.
6. Pillars of Eternity: It's a brand new RPG by Obsidian. What more needs to be said?
7. Bravel Second: I loved Bravely Default, and this game seems well poised to fix some of the issues with that game, as well as adding new and intriguing gameplay elements.
8. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: I can't believe it's taken them this long to make this game. Canvas Curse was a favorite of mine.
9. Codename S.T.E.A.M.: The game I never knew I wanted until they announced it. The game seems fun, and the story/presentation seems like the right kind of crazy. I can't wait.
10. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Assuming this doesn't keep getting delayed. I'm really excited for this game, and CD Projekt Red has a great track record. The previews all look really great.

Honorable mentions: Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, Star Fox Wii U, Majora's Mask 3D, Splatoon, Great Ace Attorney (don't think there's much chance of us getting this next year, otherwise it would make my list). If I thought there was even the slightest chance of either Final Fantasy XV or Kingdom Hearts 3 releasing, they'd make my list.

Oof, I don't know if I can think of 10 games next year that I care about, lol! Planning on adding reasoning later.

1. Danganronpa: Another Episode
2. Persona 5
3. Grim Fandango Remastered
4. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Break Record
5. Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition
6. Xenoblade Chronicles X
7. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
8. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
9. Zelda Wii U
10. No Man's Sky

4. Splatoon
5. Star Fox Wii U

1. No Man's Sky: the hype for this game just keeps growing. The more I hear the better it sounds. I love the idea of exploring the universe, and the style they've gone with is perfect. Mystery abounds, and I love that.

2. Bloodborne: a follow up from the original creators of the Souls series? How can anyone resist this? The focus on faster combat pacing has me both excited and terrified. Info about random side dungeons sounds just as interesting as the novel online system that Demons introduced years ago.

3. Zelda Wii U: I largely lost interest in this series over the years but after the E3 footage & info, all that changed. Going back to NES style open world is exactly what I've wanted Zelda to be for years. This game looks to finally deliver on that front.

4. Xenoblade Chronicles X: finally another Xeno game with mechs. I loved Gears and Saga, so this is a great return to form for me. Can't wait to see how they balance mech combat with traditional combat. Hoping for an incredibly epic story and a long, long adventure.

5. Batman Arkham Knight: City not only became my favorite Batman game of all time, it actually made me a fan of Batman again. This single game did more for the character the anything else. Everything about this game was amazing and I have extremely high hopes for Knight. The batmobile is a great inclusion and I can't wait to drive it around. Also, the sheer fact that Rocksteady are back on the reigns lets me sleep easier at night. After Asylum and City, I have full trust in them.

6. Splatoon: After seeing this game in motion and reading about the mechanics I think this game could become the new multiplayer hotness. Just looks so fun and screams originality. Even from what little we know, theory crafting on covering the maps has been making me ache to play it. Such a cool concept and something that I would have never thought to ask for.

7. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: My favorite series of all time. Not higher on the list because it's 3ds only, but I can't see how I'm going to resist buying it anyway. The new environments, weapons, armors and monsters all look like excellent additions to an already strong foundation. This is by far the largest, most content packed Monster Hunter game ever.

8. Final Fantasy Type 0: The school setting and style reminds me of FF8 and that alone is enough to get me excited. But the fact that it's on console and not handheld is what sealed the deal. Can't wait to play this as I haven't been excited for a FF game since before last gen.

9. Star Wars Battlefront: says 2015 but haven't heard or seen much about this. That said, the Battlefront name alone is enough to get me hyped. I can only imagine what this series could be like on current gen platforms, and eagerly await more news on this game. I hope the Jedi/Sith/Hero characters are as broken as ever.

10. The Division: I like what I've seen thus far, but I'm holding back full hype because who knows how it will turn out. The small squad based format in an open world has me intrigued though. I also like the setting in that it's not strict post apocalyptic, but more mid-apocalyptic.
