10. Splatoon : Looks like a fun time to me

1. No man's sky - if this game delivers anywhere close to what I've read about it, it deserves this position.
2. Star Wars battlefront
3 rainbow 6 siege - loved what I saw in the gameplay video. Gave me a cs 1.6 vibe for some reason. Reminded me of a map where there is a house with hostages surrounded by rocks. I forget the name of it.
4. The division - would be higher up on my list if I didn't expect the watch_dogs-like downgrade. Hopefully I'm mistaken
5. Uncharted 4
6. The order 1886
7. The witcher - haven't played any previous installments and haven't followed up on it. I'm just gonna go into it not knowing what to expect. Sounds like it will be awesome
8. MGS TPP - have only played ground zeroes and really liked it so this should be good.
9. Bloodborne
10. Final fantasy

1. Batman Arkham Knight: Loved AA and AC. Still want more.

2. DOA5LR: I missed the initial PS360 release and it looks like a big improvement over DOA4. Shame it'll take 3 months for online to implemented on the pc version, but that'll give me some time to pick my pool of characters.

3. Rise of the Tomb Raider: (even though I don't have a platform for it). The core combat isn't bad by modern standards, Lara is a beauty and they (accidentally) made the best B slasher movie. I got more laughs out of this game than Dead Rising 3.

4. Bloodborne: I enjoyed Demon's Souls and Dark Souls.

  1. Xenoblade Chronicles X : flying fucking robots
  2. Zelda U : open world Zelda
  3. Persona 5 : i sure hope hope dungeons aren't randomized
  4. Etrian Odyssey 5 : Wii U?
  5. SMT x FE : Devil Survivor with permadeath? Who knows? But I'm always down for original Atlus games.
  6. Bloodborne : Never really played the souls games but I'm so down with Gothic horror setting and something to do with my PS4
  7. Senran Kagura Estival Versus : I'm running out of things for this list, but life and hometown hd

Quick List, gonna edit later
1. Bloodborne
2. Pillar of Eternity
3. Persona 5
4. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
5. Toukiden Kiwami
6. The Order 1886
7. No Man's Sky
8. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
9. Xenoblade Chronicles X
10. Torment: Tides of Numenera (assuming it got released in time)

  1. The Legend of Zelda for Wii U - The art style is amazing. It seems the game is going to be pretty huge, and it is one of my favourite franchises.
[*]Splatoon - Shooters are far from my favourite genre, but the game looks so fun and full of life that I cannot help myself from wanting it.
[*]Xenoblade Chronicles X - I have played 30 minutes of Xenoblade. The trailers make this game look quite good, and hopefully the online features are robust.
[*]Mario Maker - The recent trailer renewed my interest in this. The levels that can be made look like a lot of fun, and I am sure the online sharing will be implemented well for me to try other people's amazing levels.
[*]Bloodborne - I really liked Dark Souls despite not beating it. This game looks very similar, but different at the same time. The Dungeon that they just announced seems like a great feature.
[*]The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D - I own this on N64, GC, and Virtual Console. I have never beat it. I didn't beat OoT until the 3D version, so I plan to beat it this time!
[*]Disgaea 5 - Loved Disgaea 4, and Disgaea 3 was good too. Hopefully this turns out well, because I don't want NIS to shut-down :(
[*]Yoshi's Woolly World - Looks like the best Yoshi game in years. I bought Yoshi's New Island at launch, so I should be willing to buy a better game too!
[*]Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - I think I tried Canvas Curse once. Either way, the art style is great and the game seems to be another $40 title, which only helps :)
[*]Youkai Watch - Crazy popular in Japan. Would probably be higher if we had any more concrete information. I hope it is as good as people say.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X: My most anticipated game of this generation. Bar none.

2. Legend of Zelda (Wii U): I am always excited for a new Zelda game, and this game feels to exceed my expectations.

3. Metal Gear Solid V: I'm an MGS fan ever since MGS1. While I want more Solid Snake rather than Big Boss, guess in Kojima I trust.

4. Splatoon: It really looks to be something special. It may not be as big as other games, but this game is shaping up to be one that will define this generation.

5. Star Fox (Wii U): Miyamoto said it's coming before Zelda, and I pegged Zelda for 2015 release, so why not add it here? :p I've been waiting for so long for a Star Fox game, so I'm really excited for this one.

6. Persona 5: This will probably my last PS3 game, and what a way to end it by getting possibly the best PS3 JRPG!

7. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: The game I'm sure to sink hundreds of hours. And with the positive reception of importers for this game, I'm sure I'll enjoy this one!

8. Etrian Odyssey V: Looks to be pegged for 2015 release (at least in Japan). As an EO fan I'm excited for a brand new premium dungeon crawler!

9. Majora's Mask 3D: I really enjoy Majora's Mask from N64 days. I'm really so glad it got remade for newer generation of players to experience.

10. Bravely Second: I love BD. It really felt like a classic Final Fantasy game that I enjoyed the hell back when I was young. I'm glad SE made a sequel and hope that they grow this franchise.

1. Bloodborne
It's the first current gen game of From Software and spiritual successor of the Souls franchise which was BY FAR my favorite IP of last gen. So yeah, there isn't much else to say

2 Xenoblade Chronicles X
I wasn't able to play the first Xenoblade because Nintendo (or rather, my country has no Gamestop and importing a used copy from amazong will cost me more than what I'm willing to pay for a used Wii game). But everything I've seen from XCX looks amazing, from the scale of the world to the great art direction.
Plus, JRPG with mechs and giant monsters? Count me in

3: Zelda WiiU
I love Zelda and I really like what we have seen from the new one. I like the art direction and Nintendo has been delivering with the WiiU exclusives so I have all the reasons to be excited about this one

4: Uncharted 4
Uncharted is other of my favorite last gen IP's, and Naughty Dog has almost never dissapointed me. Take that on top of it being the debut of the franchise AND the studio on the Ps4 and I'm hyped

5: MGS IV
I like the franchise and everything they have shown of this game looks amazing.

6: Yakuza 5
I still can't belive this is comming to the west.

7: Persona 5
I preffer the main SMT games, but Persona is allways enjoyable and I cant wait for a new Atlus game on a current gen console

8. RIME
With TLG cancelled (it's cancelled for me until Sony shows it... which they won't because it's cancelled) this looks like a good replacement.

9. Final Fantasy XV
I'm asuming this will be a 2015 game.
Look, the game looks great but so did XIII. Plus Nomura (a.k.a everything wrong with modern Square) was heavily involved and the story is probably going to be pretentious and convulted crap just like Kingdom Hearts ... but damn, what they have shown so far looks amazing.

10: Owloboy
It's comming Next year.....right?.... RIGHT?

1) Bloodborne ; This isn't gonna be like Dark Souls 2, it's straight out of Miyazaki's brain. A gothic Victorian nightmare filled with action and imagination.

2) Persona 5 ; P-Studio keep making wonderful games even when they have been constrained story wise by essentially making non-canonical fanfic for their own characters. And there isn't any reason to think Soejima's designs and Meguro's music won't translate into even shinier gold on the PS4.

3) Yakuza 5 ; Like a fool, I had stopped believing.

4) Kirby and the Rainbow Curse ; Canvas Curse is my favourite Kirby game...I can't wait to play the sequel. I even bought a freakin' kirby amiibo, lol. Dat "tiny town" music!

5) Xenoblade Chronicles X ; As unimpressed as I am by how the character's faces look, everything else about the game looks like a dream. The creative artistry of Xenoblade meets the graphical power of the Wii U. A world you just wanna run around in.

6) Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain; I loved Snake Eater and then hated Guns of the Patriots, to the point that I almost lost interest in the franchise. But Kojima charmed me back on board with that stupid cardboard box gameplay demonstration.

7) Batman Arkham Knight ; I liked Asylum's quality approach over City's quantity approach, and wisely skipped Origins so that I would be itchin' for some more Batman combat by the time Rocksteady brought the series to the PS4. I love in recent videos how its not just all darkness and neon, but how its also always raining. It's very Gotham. They should just make it rain on neon lights 100% of the time.

8) Mario Maker ; Since learning you can make Super Mario bros 3 and Super Mario World levels, my interest in this title has gone up. In my imagination, it's so cool... Something where you build a level in real time while your friend is playing it, placing obstacles in front of him and joking with each other via voice chat.

9) Majora's Mask 3D ; N64 games are ugly. Game deserves the love that was shown to Ocarina. Can't wait to play it with 3d enabled thanks to the new super stable 3D too!

10) The Legend of Zelda Wii U ; Only in last place because I don't really believe an open world game of Zelda calibre will make it's 2015 release date.

1. The Division - brilliant concept, stunning graphics with solid RPG, shooting & co-op elements!!!

2. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain - Ground Zeroes provided a fantastic, engaging and visually pleasing albeit brief vision of Metal Gear's future!

3. Grand Theft Auto 5 (PC) - PC gamers can finally enjoy R*'s magnum opus

4. The Order: 1886 - oozing atmosphere, filled with mystery and intrigue plus great visuals and a compelling concept

5. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - "One last time? Alright kid, let's go do it... one last time"

6. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt

7. Resident Evil HD: Remastered - Should be a terrifying yet nostalgic trip

8. Batman: Arkham Knight - Rocksteady's epic conclusion to Batman's radiant trilogy

9. Halo 5: Guardians - would have been higher on the list if it weren't for 343i's sloppy, amateurish and downright incompetent execution and handling of my favorite video game franchise, won't be a day-1 purchase from me that's guaranteed

10. Star Wars: Battlefront - after running their own franchise right into the ground I don't think DICE should be allowed ANYWHERE near one of the most influential, beloved and highly revered franchises of all time. The unacceptable and rocky launch of BF4 was followed by months of server and client side disconnects, bugs, glitches and crashes that plagued the game for nearly a year after launch. Even then after all that I'm cautiously optimistic to see what they come up with, that being said people should wait for the reviews, fan feedback and community opinions

Why are so many people saying FFXV? =P

Anyway, if it has to come next year

1 - Bloodborne
2 - Persona 5
3 - Xenoblade Chronicles X
4 - No Man's Sky
5 - Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
6 - Zelda Wii U
7 - Yakuza 5
8 - Bravely Second
9 - Below
10 - Severed

idk if all are 2015, but I'm pretty sure they are.

1. Witcher 3: They got me with the we don't have MP because we want to focus on the SP experience as well as the larger than Skyrim and fully open world.

2. No Man's Sky: It was hard to rate which I was more excited for (this one or Witcher 3). It sounds like a game right up my ally. I love games where it feels like a simulator. I'm excited for having to find stuff to upgrade my ship/get a new ship/make my unigun more functional as well as exploring planets to find the stuff and even trying to deal with potential hostile forces. I am a little disappointed that the system is more just a find money/stuff worth something and trade vs. a crafting system where if you want something you have to find certain amounts of certain things.

3: Persona 5: Just cause Persona 4 Golden was good. I expect good things. Wish I could play it on my Vita (my Vita makes for a better place to play JRPGs imho).

I would have put FFXV on there but as soon as they started comparing the combat to FFXII and having gambits, that made me lose complete interest. FFXII it just seemed like either the game was on autopilot and pretty easy when combat happened, or too frustrating cause it was hard to interupt when something happened that you needed to change strategy. I never really found combat that fun in it. I really dislike this whole idea of trying to mix up action and turn based. Choose one damnit.

Can I just kist The Last Guarduan eight times? I know it isn't coming out in 2015, but I will still be anticipating it.

Well if you are going to do that, I'm going to put Fallout 4 on the list :p (I mean I will fully admit it is why I bought a PS4.... just imagine my salt if they don't put it on the PS4 or worse, don't even make a Fallout 4.. I will fully warn everyone... major salt from me if either of these happen).

They're in denial.
They want to throw their votes away.
They've convinced themselves that no other JRPGs exist and that Square Enix of 2014 still has that late 90s "magic".

Plenty of good reasons.
The ones that astutely read the instructions are voting for Type-0 HD for that demo love.

OK! I feel pretty alright about this list.

EDIT: I CAN'T BELIEVE I FELT PRETTY ALRIGHT ABOUT THIS LIST! Fixed, sorry Drawn to Death. I'm still hyped for you.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: The newest game in my favorite series. Ground Zeroes was incredible and got me wildly hyped. Can't wait.
2. Gravity Ruhsh 2: Whether it's on PS4 or Vita or both, this is a game I have desperate need for.
3. Ratchet and Clank: The newest game in my second favorite series. I have blind faith in Insomniac and there is no doubt in my mind that they will deliver.
4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: That PSX gameplay was incredible and I really love this series. In ND we trust.
5. Tearaway Unfolded: The original Tearaway was an absolutely incredible, moving experience. MM never disappoints and this looks like a beautiful expansion thing.
6. The Order: 1886: RaD are incredibly talented devs. The graphics look absolutely mind blowing, but they're also wrapped fun, diverse gameplay and a compelling story.
7. Bloodborne: I've never played a Souls game for more than an hour or so, but I'm ready to dive in. I want to bathe in the blood of my foes and become a beast.
8. No Man's Sky: I get to explore an infinite universe.
9. Batman: Arkham Knight: Rocksteady's Arkham games are some of the best crafted experiences out there, and I am an absolute monster at the combat. Gimme.
10. Until Dawn: I wasn't even remotely interested in this until the PSX demo. Now I see it has some amazing potential for a bunch of people sitting in a room together shouting.

Assuming they'll stick with their planned release :

1. The Legend of Zelda Wii U : It's Zelda, at minimum it will be awesome. First place by far, but I'm biased.
2. The Witcher III : Gameplay looks way better than previous games, that's all I needed. The delay will allow me to finish them too, and now it's planned for my birthday, it's perfect.
3. Xenoblade Chronicles X : Insert awesome Mech gif here.
4. Persona 5 : I have great hope for this one. Would probably rank higher if we knew more about it, especially about the dungeons and combat system.
5. Etrian Mystery Dungeon : Not fond of rogue-like usually, but I love everything about this game already.
6. Splatoon : Great potential in this colorful shooter. Love the crazy OST too.
7. Heroes of the Storm : Dota done right. They threw away everything that I don't like about LoL and Dota 2. Kinda fear for the community though, but can't do much about it.
8. Dai Gyakuten Saiban : Well, it's Ace Attorney. I love the new setting, but I'm not too sure about the new characters yet.
9. Pillars of Eternity : Low on my list because I'm very cautious about this one, I just hope it delivers on its promises.
10. Project Phoenix : Backed this one, RTS oriented JRPG sounds really interesting.

Honorable mentions : Overwatch, StarFox, MGSV, Yoshi, and the list could go on, great year to come.

1) Bloodborne ; The more I hear about this, the more excited I get about this game. Can't wait to get it in March 2015.
2) Uncharted 4 ; Although I don't think realistically this should come out in 2015 (based on the PSX demo where Nathan Drake fell through the world), I am also excited for this. I really want this to get delayed like The Witcher 3 did.
3) The Witcher 3 ; Based on the opening cinematic and the announcement of a delay, I have high hopes for this. In the meantime, I will play The Witcher 1 on PC (Polish voice acting & English subtitles!) and The Witcher 2 on Xbox 360 as I await this.
4) Rime ; An ICO in Wind Waker HD swirl of awesomeness that I can't wait to download and devour without sleep.
5) Woah Dave! ; This got announced on PlayStation blog in September then had a showing at PAX but now....nothing. There is a Steam release currently. I guess I got Aqua Kitty DX & Rock Blockers DX to tide me over for retro goodness.
6) Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number ; Unless this is coming out in the next 3 weeks, I am going to say that this will be in 2015. Can't wait to get it though.
7) No Man's Sky ; Many hours will be spent playing this.
8) Persona 5 ; I'm excited for this and I can't wait to see my new waifu.
9) Atelier Shellie Alchemists of the Dusk Sea ; more Atelier goodness.
10) Awakened Fate Ultimatum ; PS3's last hurrah.

1. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt - I have utmost faith in CD Projekt Red
2. Raibow Six: Siege - Will it really come out next year?
3. Uncharted 4 - Naughty Dog
4. No Man's Sky - I'm dubious, but anticipating anyways.
5. Bloodbourne - Always wanted to play a Souls game, but I have a thing with starting at the beginning of a series
6. Firewatch - Olly Moss was one of the main reasons I went into design
7. Persona 5 - Always wanted to play a Persona game.
8. Halo 5 Guardians - Only reason I would buy an Xbox.
9. The Division - Maybe... just maybe...
10. Jak and Daxter reboot - It's coming, I swear!

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: After the 15 minute demo, I was oversold. The open ended encounters looked absolutely amazing. The AI looked like it came from The Last of Us and the amount of player choices you have to tackle the missions look amazing. Everything I wanted from one of the best franchises I've ever played.
2. Mortal Kombat X: After traveling to several tournaments for MK9 and even winning a major, I was already sold. Watching the hype reveal trailer then seeing how the game played, all the new variations in style, the tweaks, the stages, etc....made me realize that every other fighting game is going to be playing catch up next year.
3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: No introduction needed. Automatic buy from announcement. It being open world and having a more fleshed out multiplayer component is just icing on the cake.
4. The Witcher 3: Despite the delay and the terrible inside information, I am still excited to play this game. Never played 1 or 2 but this open world medieval type game seems to be the most vibrant and lively one I've seen. Was a huge fan of the elder scrolls series and hearing that this story is much more varied and mature has me intrigued.
5. Bloodborne: This game's artstyle is insane. Never got into Demon or Dark Souls for the sole reason that the combat seemed to slow. This game definitely seems to be much faster which I am happy about.
6. The Order 1886:I believe that this game will be a sum of all of its parts. The combination of the graphics, the victorian england story with monsters, the visceral gameplay and seamless integration of stealth, puzzles and interactive cut-scenes will make it one of the most unique experiences of 2015.
7. Batman: Arkham Knight: Rocksteady; Batman; Open World; Enough said. The addition of vehicle combat will just be another gameplay feature that makes this the definitive comic book game.
8. The Legend of Zelda: Truth be told, I have never completed a single zelda game even though I have owned every Nintendo console released. Does not change the fact that every time a new Zelda is announced, I am excited to see what its all about.
9. XenoBlade Chronicles X: The day's of epic japanese RPGs have dwindled down to a handful and XenoBlade is one of those few. The huge vistas and mechas have me wanting to explore the world in place.
10.Project Cars: Simulation racers outside of Forza have been in a steady decline on consoles. Project Cars looks to not only bring a simulation experience to consoles, but to outdo the previous title holders on each console. Cannot wait to see everything come together from a team as passionate as I am about cars.

1. The legend of Zelda WII U :
Fan of the series cant wait to play that massive map.

2. Xenoblade Chronicles X :
well It has mechas the rest is just a bonus.

3. Splatoon :
we need games like splatoon colorful and fun to play

4. Zelda: Majora's Mask 3DS :
one of the best zeldas cant wait to play again

5. Witcher 3 :
Last game in the witcher series cant miss it.

6. Starfox Wii U :
Starfox,final destination , no items

7. The Devil's Third (Wii U) :
The game looked rough in its e3 reveal but it looks like multiplayer could be awesome to play .

8. Quantum Break :
I really want to play more games from remedy after playing alan wake

9. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate :
It has dragons , I like dragons.

10. Halo 5 guardians :
well the beta is coming it might be good or bad, but I like what I have seen so far .

1. Zelda WiiU
2. Xenoblade Chronicles X
3. Splatoon
4. Majoras Mask 3DS
5. Bloodbourne
6. Starfox WiiU
7. Bravely Second
8. Yoshi's Wooly World
9. Captain Toad
10. Mario Party 10

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End: Looks like Uncharted++ with cues taken from The Last of Us and lessons learned from Uncharted 3's mistakes. At least that demo did. I can only hope that sequence carries through to the whole game.

2. Quantum Break: It's a Remedy shooter....Nuff said. Even their missteps are filled with enough character to make it interesting. Sam Lake doing a time travel/manipulation conspiracy action shooter? Yes please. And I don't even own an XBOne yet.

3. No Man's Sky: Sure it might overpromise and underdeliver, but until then I'm hyped. One person, one ship, and one crazy galaxy to explore. The classic pulpy sci-fi tone and visuals mixed with the weird and mysterious undercurrent is right up my alley.

4. Batman: Arkham Knight: They're going a bit hard with the Batmobile's presence in the previews, but the mechanics all look so slick and well presented. Like Naughty Dog with Uncharted, this feels like Batman++ and that's enough for me.

5. Grim Fandango Remastered: It's Grim Fandango, like, all remastered and junk.

6. Just Cause 3: Sounds like they're fixing all the annoyances in Just Cause 2 to make a more fun, more engaging gameplay experience. On one hand I'm tired of wacky open world games with weak mission design, but on the other hand the variety of wild and destructive stunts possible in Just Cause is pretty unmatched in the genre.

7. Bloodborne: Faster, more stylish Souls game with a thick Victorian gothic artstyle and atmosphere. Seems to be changing just about everything that I felt held back the Souls titles.

8. RIME: Ico vibes, beautiful artstyle.

9. The Legend of Zelda Wii U: Zelda doesn't excite me nearly as much as it does others these days as I think Nintendo's been surpassed in world building and their storytelling is tired, but there's nobody else making big Zelda stye games with those Zelda style temples with Nintendo's polish, so it deserves a spot. And who knows, they might surprise me and make a compelling package around those puzzles.

10. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: I'm sooooooooo done with the Metal Gear characters and storylines, but the stealth sandbox looks great. So while this game might very well end up in my top 5 next year on the strength of its gameplay, I can't put it any higher right now because the story strikes me as completely uninteresting.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X: My same most anticipated as last year and for the very same reason. It's a sci-fi open world JRPG with fucking mechs! And according the devs is said to be 5 times larger than the original Xenoblade. Considering the original Xenoblade is one of my all time favorite games from last gen, putting this at the top of my list is pretty much a no brainer. There isn't a doubt in my mind, 2015 will be the year I finally play this game!

2. Zelda Wii U: Everything I'm seeing of this game, from the open world, the artstyle, the extreme Princess Mononoke vibe, the improved horse back riding along with that slow mo horse vaulting mechanic just has me itching to find out more. We haven't even seen fucking dungeons as yet and my hype is through the roof.

3. Bloodborne: Looks stunning in every single way. Atmosphere and art direction are through the roof.

4.Uncharted 4: Love Uncharted. Love Naughty Dog. What more can I say?
Seriously though, I love that this game seems to be taking a few aspects of The Last of Us' gameplay and is merging it with Uncharted. It's combat look much more open than previous games in the series. And of course, in true naughty dog fashion, the graphics look incredible.

5. Batman Arkham Knight: Rocksteady's closing chapter to what are perhaps the most incredible comic book games I've ever had the pleasure of playing and it looks like they're really going all out for this one.

6. No Man's Sky: A game about exploring multiple locations on multiple planets in multiple galaxies, everything is procedurally generated, only being developed by a team of only four people. If you had only told me these things about No Man's Sky without showing me anything, I would've said that this game sounds like it's headed for disaster. Luckily for us, everything that we've seen of this game so far seems to indicate the exact opposite. This game screams ambition and it'll be wonderful to see these devs pull it off.

7. Metal Gear Solid V: It's a Metal Gear game... also, you can send goats to your base. I don't need to say anymore.

8. Splatoon: Has the potential to one of the biggest online multiplayer surprises of 2015. Mechanics look solid and seems like the skill ceiling can be quite high for players willing to put in the time. Single player looks fun and the art and character design is awesome and feels like a breath of fresh air.

9. The Witcher 3: CD Projekt Red has truly been saying all the right things about this game and have been willing to delay it time and time again, not because they are having trouble developing, but because they are trying to make the absolute best game possible for their fans. I respect the hell out the them for that. Also the game has looked fucking awesome from the day it was revealed.

10. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: One of the best executed art styles I've ever seen. Looks vibrant, full of charm and seems like a blast to play. If canvas curse is any indication this will be a game to keep your eyes on.

Honorable Mentions aka 2015 looks fucking incredible and I most of these games could've easily made it into my top 10.

Mario Maker
Codename S.T.E.A.M.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
Majora's Mask 3D
Yoshi's Wooly World
Mortal Kombat X
Resident Evil Revelations 2
Just Cause 3
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Grim Fandango Remastered
Hyper Light Drifter
Star Fox
Persona 5

Final Fantasy XV would be in the top 10 but OP's rules clearly state that it's ineligible. Would've put Scalebound in honorable mentions as well but that looks like it may be a 2016 game.

Thank you for this glorious post.

Plenty of good reasons.
The ones that astutely read the instructions are voting for Type-0 HD for that demo love.

I could argue this, but I'll just say I didn't mean it like that. The OP is clearly stating that FFXV and KH3 are illegible because of unknown release dates. It's even bolded, c'mon people.

1. Persona 5
P4G is my favorite game of the last generation. I'm so ready for P5!

2. MGSV TPP
It's Metal Gear.

3. FFType0 HD aka the FFXV Demo
If FFXV was coming out this year it would easily be my number one most anticipated game. It started as a pet project of the KH2 team, and now the beautiful train wreck of a development cycle is finally coming to an end. I've got high hopes, Tabata.

4. The Great Ace Attorney
Maybe it'll make it to the west next year? Anyone? Look I need more! I NEED MORE!

5. Zelda U
Maybe I'll like this one.

6. Bloodborne
I probably won't play it, but I'll enjoy watching others flail about in it

7. Xenoblade X
Couldn't get into the original, but I'm willing to give this one a shot

8. No Man Sky
I'm interested to know what it is, and if it will even be fun.

9. Splatoon
What a great artstyle! Can't wait to hear more about the single player.

10. GTAV PC
THE MODS!!! Just think of the possibilities!

  1. Wreckfest :
There is no other developer capable of evoking such devious glee in me. In Flatout you got rewarded for being an asshole to other drivers with such satisfying physics and destruction. And now those two things are on a whole other magnificent level. And the AI appears to have an appropriate disregard for its own safety as they fly, ram and tumble about. I really hope they can cram ragdoll drivers in there.
  2. Dreamfall Chapters :
I backed this game pretty hard. Ragnar Tornquist and friends have an uncanny ability to build worlds, characters and lore possessing a charm that's hard to describe. Pretty? Yo these games be pretty charm.
  3. Quantum Break :
I'd back whatever Remedy's doing pretty hard too. No one else can emulate their style. I expect this game to continue the streak and be very cool and Finnish as well.
  4. Just Cause 3 :
Just Cause 2 was somewhat good. A gooder version of that, thank you very much.
  5. No Man's Sky :
It's what you imagined in your head when Bioware once said that thing about "visit all these planets in the universe blablah n shit!"
  6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain :
    It's Metal Gear.
  7. Star Wars: Battlefront :
Battlefield has been my multiplayer jam for the past decade or so. This means two things, I'm totally into the core formula of Battlefield, and I've been playing these games for the past decade or so. I see DICE handling Battlefront as an opportunity to change things up yet remain the same. Also I think Star Wars is alright. That said, they haven't even shown a CG trailer for this game yet. Certain risk of it ending up like Hardline, feeling like an expansion.
  8. Superhot :
Such an elegantly and naturally awesome and brilliant concept. Even if the final game is just staring at slow motion bullets, that would suffice.
  9. Firewatch :
Those Campo Santo people are good at stuff and this will probably be stuff.
  10. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt :
I've liked these in theory. One ran like ass, the other...something, but I have a feeling the third time will be the charm.

1. Batman Arkham Knight: The Batman games have been amazing over the last few years, I even enjoyed Origins more than City, so can't wait for this one. Plus it helps that Batman is probably my favorite Superhero.
2. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain: Wasn't to hyped for this, but recently I've been replaying the MGS series for the first time since the launch on MGS3 on Ps2, and I suddenly remember why I love this series, and now I must have this one!
3. Rise of the Tomb Raider: As with most games on this list been a fan ever since the first game came out, so naturally it makes the list.
4. Mortal Kombat X: Same as above really, and this one is looking to be even more brutal than before.
5. Star Wars: Battlefront: It's Star Wars.
6. Witcher 3: Still have not finished Witcher 2 but the characters and the Witcher universe for some reason keep pulling me in.
7. Resident Evil: Revelations 2: Again played the RE series from the beginning and will continue to play them all!
8. Quantum Break: Mostly because it's a new IP and from what I've seen so far has really peaked my interest.
9. Saints Row: Gat out of Hell: Love what 3 and 4 brought to the table, haven't had so much fun with a game then this series. It's only low on the list because it doesn't seem to be a full package release, in a way like 4 felt, but it's still a must own for me.
10. The Division: This one I'm on the fence about, but I really hope this turns out well.

Rise of the Tomb Raider. If only it would release on PS4 it would most likely be in my top 3. Pretty bummed it won’t even be on PC at release.Won’t purchase a console for a single title since I don’t have that much time and HDMI inputs available.

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End : I am huge fan of Naughty Dog's way to tell stories and how they pay attention to details and deliver amazing looking games. I grew extremely fond of all the characters in the series and thats why it has become one of my favorite series ever and why I am so much looking forward to this game.

2. Persona 5 : Loved both Persona 2 and 4 to death. I find it amazing how ATLUS finds a way to make both the RPG and social sim aspect of the game shine in these games. You are never more interested in one or the other, you always wants a bit of both everytime. Can't wait to see what they will deliver with the game.

3. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD : Played the japanese demo bot never got to experience the full game, considering I can barely say hi in japanese, but from what I played it seemed like a great game. Excited for this not only for the updated graphics and performance but because of the XV demo too.

4. Tales of Zestiria : Kinda bummed this is a PS3 game, but I am still expecting a good one. Loved the new fusing aspect of it and the plot seems interesting enough even if a bit cliche.

5. The Order 1886 : Was very skeptical at first but the latest trailers and gameplays made me a fan. The graphics are insane and I am always here for story focused/cinematic games.

6. Atelier Shallie : Supposedly this will not have time limits anymore. Seems like a big move for the series, can't wait to see if for the best or worst. Seems promising imo.

7. Mortal Kombat X : Even though I suck at fighting games I always buy the first ones that release at a new gen, so here I am. lol

8. Until Dawn : Cheesy, cliche, but lots of fun and jump scares. Thats what I expect. Already gathering my friends to play this. :p

9. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain : I am not even the biggest fan of the series, far from it actually, but I believe in Kojima and I find it impossible not to be interested in this after the latest gameplay demos. Simply fabulous.

10. Rise of The Tomb Raider : Its my number 10 because I loved the first one but I have zero interest or reasons to own an Xbox One, so if this launches on PS4/PC in 2015 its a must buy for me.

Edit: If Final Fantasy XV released in 2015 it would probably be my number 3 in this list but yeah... its not releasing in 2015 (at least in the west).

1) Bloodborne- I never cared for Dark Souls much but this seems to take the gameplay style of DS into an area that I might actually care for. Also love that you can play with multiple people at once, the monster designs, and the general atmosphere.

2) The Order 1886- Game looks stunning. From the presentation, to the music, facial expressions, gameplay mechanics, qte events, and some of the monsters I've seen in some trailers.

3) Persona 5- Never played any other entries in the series but I know it has a very highly regarded reputation and I do love my occasional Japanese RPG. I haven't sunk my teeth into a JRPG in sometime, so I'm excited to its potential on the PS4.

4) Xenoblade Chronicles X- Loved the previous entry in the Xenoblade series, and this looks to expand on that and then some.

5) Uncharted 4- I have not played an Uncharted game since the very first one, so I'm excited to delve back in with the presentation levels being offered by the PS4's power.

6) Zelda Wii U- I did not care for the last entry of the Zelda series, but the new approach for this upcoming Zelda game intrigues me enough to buy it day one.

7) Metal Gear Solid V- Metal Gear is not a series that I'm absolutely in love with but I do look forward to this entry just because it seems like it's going to pack quite a punch. Hopefully much less boring cinematics than IV.

8) Majora's Mask 3DS- The N64 version is one of my favorite all time games and I'm excited to revisit this gem.

9) Batman Arkham Knight- I have not played any other entries of the series so I'm excited for this to be my first, and games that have proceeded it have a stellar track record.

10) Star Fox Wii U- At this point we don't know much and haven't seen much with this title, but I'm hopeful that it will be much better than the last few Star Fox titles that we have gotten.

metal-gear-solid-v-5-the-phantom-pain-ps3-xbox-360-screenshots-11.jpg

The single most important game to release in years and it's shaping up to be a truly revolutionary experience with its openworld sneaking, mother base customization and development, Metal Gear Online 3, and perhaps one of the largest and potentially most important games in the Metal Gear Solid series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is looking to be a masterpiece of stealth and tactical gameplay with the series tradition of crazy stories and wacky characters tackling more series themes. I cannot wait for this game and no other game can compete in hype for me.

Pretenders need not apply, we all know the correct choice is MGSV:TPP for Most Anticipated 2015 game.

1. Star Fox Wii U:
Ive been waiting along time for a brand new star fox title let alone a good one, star fox 64 is the best example of a space shooter Ive ever seen and has some of my favorite nintendo characters ever. Heres hoping its the sequel to Star Fox 64 we deserve. Nintendo Please dont fuck up.

2. Halo 5 Guardians:
Im a huge halo fan and have been feeling that halo itch to play a brand new one. Halo 4 was the breath of fresh air the series needed with only a few major problems with its competitive multiplayer. Halo 5 looks to be taking itself seriously as a competitive shooter and is evolving halo where Ive always wanted it to go with added mobility. We may just have another Halo 2 on our hands yet.

3. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain:
Metal Gear Solid has quickly become one of my favorite franchises of all time, after playing MGS3 the series entered a game into my personal top 10 games ever made. MGS3 was a prequel and so is 5, this game will be delving into what makes Big Boss change into the "bad guy" he will be known as. Im cant wait to see that transformation as well as finding out more about the lore of other beloved characters in the series. There is also the epic fact that the game is open world and I cant wait to see what that means for this series.

4. The Legend of Zelda Wii U:
With so many good entries TLoZ franchise is the best in gaming. This one is taking zelda to the next step of open world, the potential is endless. Im hoping for plenty of darker tones in this game even though the art style suggests otherwise but one thing that seems sure is that this will capture my love for exploration in games. Heres hoping this game has a ton to do in it and still makes story relevant by hitting their first open world game out of the park.

5. No Mans Sky:
What this game entails might form the future of exploration games as we know it. The potential and ideals are just fantastic. If done right randomly generated universes might make the gaming world explode. My only worry is that exploring is all you will do, even if thats so it will be fine.

6. Pokken Tournament:
I love fighting games, I enjoy pokemon alot and they are a match made in heaven. Ive been wanting a game like this for a long time, if done correctly nintendo will make bank off of this and a competitive scene will develop. I just hope the mechanics are awesome and it isnt insanely casual friendly. There is so much potential here...

7. Yoshi's Wooly World:
I love the concept of a yoshi game and the artstyle just looks gorgeous. Im just hoping the difficulty is up to snuff and the variety. I cant help but want this game.

8. Splatoon:
Nintendo is finally making a new and very different IP, at first I wasnt super excited because it was only going to be multiplayer but after the single player trailer I am sold, the potential it has for single player content looks amazing. Heres hoping it gets just as much of a focus as the multiplayer.

9. Bloodbourne:
Game looks fantastic, a faster dark/demons souls and a more horror looking style is right up my alley. Demons Souls is one of my favorite games of all time so of course Ill love this game, the reason it isnt high on my list is simply because I havent played Dark Souls 1 or 2 yet and am way behind so my hype is sorta deterred since I have so much already to play.

10. Silent Hills:
I just figured out this is supposed to come out in 2015 so I will definitely put this on my list. Hideo Kojima is at the helm and based on the PT demo it seems that there is a great grasp on how horror works, I may not be a big silent hill fan (yet) but I love horror since I believe it to be an unperfected genre and I am excited to see what hideo has to offer (and that ideal trailer was epic).

Games I am unfortunately barred from putting even though they will probably be out in 2015.

Street Fighter 5: Holly mama do I need this now, those mechanics are my lifeblood.

Final Fantasy 15: Setting looks amazing, gameplay looks amazing and Im not even a Final Fantasy fan.

1. The Legend of Zelda :
This game man. Looks like everything I've ever wanted out of a video game. Cannot wait to see more of it, has the potential to be really something special.

2. Xenoblade Chronicles X :
Xenoblade immediately become one of my favourite games of all time so of course I'm looking forward to the sequel. Being able to fly around the world in a mech as well as the likely online play could make this even better than the first.

3. Persona 5 :
Persona 3 and 4 are some of my favourite JRPGs, so I'm stoked for the next mainline entry to the series. Actual details on the game are slim though so I'm hyped based on nothing but its existence at this point, and that's ok.

4. Yoshi's Woolly World :
Yoshi's Island was one of my favourites as a kid, and this has the potential to be the first good Yoshi game since. What we've seen of it so far looks incredible, and that art style is utterly gorgeous.

5. Bloodborne :
The Souls games were some of the best last gen, so the follow up is definitely one to look out for. Can't wait to die over and over again.

6. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain :
Ah Metal Gear. I am so conflicted on this game. I feel like the series should have definitely ended after 4, but here we are, so I may as well enjoy this for what it is, and the open world nature could really open up the stealth gameplay to another level.

7. Splatoon :
A competitive shooter from Nintendo? Sign me up! This game looks like loads of fun and I can't wait to jump into it with some friends.

8. StarFox :
Miyamoto is back on StarFox! Hopefully this turns into something great, the series deserves another game on the level of StarFox 64.

9. Tearaway Unfolded :
Having just finished the Vita game, I'm really pumped for this. The DS4 should add some really neat new mechanics, and here's hoping some of the new content contains some neat precision platforming sections. The later stuff in the first game showed how much potential it has if they expanded on it a bit more.

10. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End :
Uncharted isn't my absolute favourite series by a long shot, but they're fun lighthearted games to play through. Kind of like junk food gaming, so I'm up for giving the next instalment a shot.

Honorable mentions: Ratchet & Clank, Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Majora's Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

I've gotta say, 2015 looks absolutely stacked. I've been hoping for a lull of releases to work on my backlog a bit, but this does not look like the year.
