Same here, Capcom could make a killing if they make a good DMC game for the PSP.

I wonder if Sony will have anything left to announce for E3 and TGS.

They still have to announce dates for WKC localization and such. If we're lucky, maybe Demon's Souls will come here too.

Infamous is in the same boat as Heavy Rain. It's a 3rd party game (Sucker Punch) but published by Sony..
Not really the same!
Sucker Punch = Infamous == "Infamous is a trademark of SONY Computer Entertainment America"
Quantic Dream = Heavy Rain == "Heavy Rain is a trademark of Quantic Dream S.A. in the USA and/or in other countries"

I guess this means the Uncharted will be saved for the 2010?
OT: but it would be sweet to a Uncharted PSN game similar to Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty in 2010.

Kind of sad that people have come to rely on those.

Music games can be fun without out, but if it's just the same scrolling notes than it won't be good. Would need to be something like Frequency or Amplitude.

Basically what it will be :)

Now, WHERE THE FUCK is that downloadable content for Pacific Rift, Evolution?!
I'm sure that's coming, but I'd also like a patch that improves the AI and/or makes rank 7 & rank 8 easier.

rank 1-6: easy to average difficulty, clean racing
rank 7-8: ultra ultra hard difficulty, AI only wants to destroy you

I have never seen a game with such an enormous and sudden spike in difficulty.

Well, looks like my year long flirtation with re-purchasing the PSP is finally going to end. $400 of my tax return is going to end up going towards new handheld purchases this year. :lol

Also, I'm guessing the 4000 isn't going to happen now? Why unveil a new color otherwise.

Will drop pants for Sony.

We need more than that. I'm just hoping someone from EA/Bioware comes on stage to announce a certain game coming to the PS3. :D

Never was that way for me, I import my games.

A straight up 2D platforming LittleBigPlanet would be awesome for the PS2. It would broaded the LittleBigPlanet IP and give longer legs to LBP on PlayStation® 3 when those PS2 owners move up to the PS3.
Similar to what they are already doing with Motorstorm.

I've had such a long day and then I see LBP and Motorstorm are coming to my favourite handheld, yumm!

Well there's a screenshot of the Lilac Hannah Montana PSP, but no screenshot of the Assassin's Creed PSP. We do know that the AC bundle PSP will be Piano Black.

Perhaps there is no screenshot because we already know what Piano Black looks like, or maybe there is no screenshot because the AC bundle will feature the 4000. Perhaps my memory serves me wrong, but have there ever been any Black PSP bundles? It's always been Silver/Red/Blue/Yellow. Isn't Piano Black the vanilla 'launch new system/model' colour?

It's possible these big games announced for the latter part of the year tie in with the release of the 4000.

The Ratchet & Clank 3000 bundle also came in Piano Black (with Everyday Shooter instead of Echochrome as the second game).

The lilac PSP looks pretty cool, to be honest. Very unique.

Destination PlayStation still going on, or finish now?
I need first motion of Uncharted 2 gameplay.

Also there is rumour LBP PSP has been developing for while. I need to see it. E3 I suspect

This would mean having two very different sku's on shelves at the same time. But, hey, Nintendo is doing the same thing, so who knows. A price drop on the 3000 and a full price 4000 certainly makes sense.

If you buy the PSP version do you get the PS3 version for free?

This would be smart.

SCEA announcement that doesn't include SCEE and SCEJ games?
At least I hope that's the reason.

I hope so as well, all games in the OP are SCEA AFAIK.

Will buy LittleBigPlanet and Rock Band (if it works on the PSP).
It's been ages (like 3 years) since I've been excited about the PSP.

I could end up playing LBP for the PSP more than the PS3 :D

Not as hardcore as I had hoped but this announcement is close to the sort of software revival that the system needed to keep my interest.

That's assuming the 4000 will actually look anything like the latest rumours say it will. Don't get me wrong, I'm all over the sliding touch screen and internal flash drive, but it's possible the 4000 will just be a small incremental update like the 3000 was.

If the 4000 is a big change, it could do well for the system as it might make the PSP relevant to people again, or put it back on the radar of people who think the PSP is dying/hasnogameslol. We know the 4000 is coming and with the announcement of games like these I think it's a safe bet that the 4000 will perform much better than the 3000.

Edit: I second the motion that those new Level 5 PSP games need an english release. Me wantee.

These announcements don't necessarily dispel the rumors of the PSP 4000. They had the Kratos PSP and the Madden PSP bundle things going until just before the PSP 3000 got announced and they even had some overlap. For all we know PSP 4000 might be out in the fourth quarter of this year or even next year.

SCEA Press Release said:
With a rapidly growing install base, the PSP platform is riding a wave of momentum that will be paired with a new hardware offering and its best software line up to date, demonstrating significant support from SCEA’s publishing partners. Two new limited-edition PSP Entertainment Packs will be available in 2009, bundling everything consumers need to jump onto the PSP platform, from the hardware to games, videos, and other content – all for $199.99 (MSRP).

I was reading this, and the bolded stuck out to me like a sore thumb... Does this 'new hardware offering' mean the new color? If so, why didn't they just say 'new color'? Maybe I'm reading too much into this, or maybe I just stumbled upon SCEA's announcement of a new PSP (4k or 2)... Interesting...
