Hyrule Warriors: Majora's Mask Pack + update 1.5.0 now live, launch trailer

Have they / will they release the ability to use any weapon with any character? Ever since I've seen Sheik and Zelda running around with Link's weapons on the Master Quest map I've wanted the ability to do that.

That was originally a glitch the player could do for themselves that they have since patched out

They then just had enemies do it, because why not

I don't think it will go back in because it makes, say, "Beat X enemies with Lana!" missions kind of moot if you can just have her using the Master Sword.

AND THEY RUN WHEN THE MOON COMES UP

Man, how about that for an alternate ending to Majora's Mask after you 100% it?
"Follow me!" chittered the mask as it was absorbed into the moon. The four giants buckled beneath the moon's weight. Link looked at the portal and rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Fuck it," he concluded, turning into a god and cutting the moon in half.

I love it. The juxtaposition between the powerlessness you feel at the onset of the game, where you can barely escape from the miniature schnauzer in Clock Town, and being able to walk up to the moon and cut it in half. Awesome.

I'm loving those new adventure map songs, I hope there is one at 48 until 24 hours (stages) too. Still about 15 maps to play to know.

Tingle is really crazy and creepy done - so they nailed it!
Butt attack, exploding balloons, bombs, embarrassing "hoo hoo" moans when running, etc... And more powerfull than what you think, at leats felt like it.

Also on the update, "further stability for the game", my ass, loading seems to take twice the time now.

Yeah, the new load times are annoying me too. What the hell Omega Force, what did you do?

Hmm, I've bought the season pass but the new DLC hasn't downloaded. How do I trigger it?

Assuming you've already got the 1.5.0 patch, go to the eshop and visit Hyrule Warriors' "Add-On Content" page. The system should automatically start downloading the DLC. If you don't have the 1.5.0 patch, then you'll still download the DLC but it wont actually do anything until you install the patch (all the new content is actually in the patch file, the DLC is just an unlock key).

Oh man, I just realized they got Nobuyuki Hiyama (the original OoT adult Link's voice actor) for the Great Deity! That's awesome!

If they were going to make it so Young Link was in Fierce Diety mode for 99% of the time, they should have just skipped it and made it an alt for Link and made some other character :/

I was looking forward to Young Link, but it seems to just be a middle man on the road to full playable Fierce Diety

Also Young Link's voice sounds weird. Like they upped the pitch too much or something. Ripping voice lines from Ocarina, Majora's Mask or Wind Waker could have worked...

I think the sounds are full on ripped.

I felt the same way with Midna but that could be due to the process Midna was originally recorded (in TP she spoke in English which was them jumbled up) and maybe recreating that lead to changes (think Shulk in SSB, same voice actor but sounds way more British now).

What's the point of the Keaton Mask?

Sometimes Link puts it on and giggles. What's going on.

I didn't play much, but from what I could gather, the special button is used to fill the magic meter at the cost of the sp meter (Link plays the ocarina), and if the magic better is already full, when you press the special button, Link will put on the Keaton mask and giggle instead.

Copying my post From the OT, here is how broken Fierce Deity Link is when you fill out his special and spirit gauge badges:

Toon Link is fucking badass, love what they did with him. He's mechanically different from every other character and they drive the point home that by MM, the Hero of Time was a total badass mofo.

Agreed, but Toon Link =/= Young Link.

I love how Young Link is essentially the essence of Majora's Mask concentrated into a single character. He utilizes the mask mechanic, the ocarina, and even the main antagonists (Skull Kid and Moon). Now that I've seen what the character is capable of, it wouldn't have made much sense to release a Majora's Mask pack without him.

Wait -- does that mean he just did a 2,295 KO streak?!
Uh-huh. There is a Japanese screenshot on Miiverse of a player who managed a 4000 KO streak in a rack up your KOs mission.

The reason for it is Fierce Deity can also convert SP to MP and while taking this action this MP doesn't deplete so you can do it at the last second. It is something like with all barges full MP takes about 27 seconds to deplete, those rack up your KO missions also give you a lot of enemies SP and MP drops (they are a lot funner than the regular adventure kill X00 enemies in 10 minutes...while 12 Ghoma chase you).

I notice now it also makes a the hasty skill a little pointless for Young Link because most of his time will be spent in focus spirit which does not benefit from Hasty (as it already is hasty).

Proudly debt free. If you need a couple bucks, just ask.
Will the Hero of Hyrule pack always be available? I only want the first two DLCs, but paying $4 for the pack will net me the MM pack, Dark Link, and the two new modes. Nintendo got me with their pricing!

I'm only halfway through Adventure and haven't tried Master Quest and Twilight Princess maps yet, but I think after Adventure I'll go straight into the Majora's Mask map. Those "kill everything" missions and the limited turn setup sound amazing.

Yes. It'd be pretty easy to do if you have enough enemies to plough through. Killing enemies in FD form replenishes both your special gauge (like normal) and your magic meter and special gauge can be converted into more magic meter by playing the ocarina (3 special bars = 100% magic). As such FD form can be potentially be maintained indefinitely if you play your cards right.

Does anyone have an easy-to-reference guide for Adventure Mode? I need one to know which item cards to use where.

Which map?

The regular map and the master quest map can mostly be solved either by rather obvious things (e.g. rocks in water/digging claw holes/butterflies) or by looking at maps of the original Zelda/Second Quest.

Regular mode:
http://www.nesmaps.com/maps/Zelda/ZeldaOverworldQ1.html

Master quest:
http://www.nesmaps.com/maps/Zelda/ZeldaOverworldQ2.html

You're basically on your own for Twilight/Termina maps though.

The use of most items are obvious.
Fire rings are the bow and arrow (it's ice arrows).
Walls are bombs.
Rocks in water are water bombs.
Butterflies are the goddess harp.
Green shapes with crosses on them are the digging mitts.
Statues/rocks to move are the power bracelet.
A seemingly random square is probably the recorder/flute thing.
Compass reveals the square to use an item on.
Candle is to burn trees.
Raft is to move across to another map from a port thing.
Ladder is to cross a one square gap.
Hookshot is used on hookshot logos.

I've decided to just buy another copy of this digitally. The urge to play it crops up too frequently. Will my saves and stuff transfer over no problem from a physical to a digital copy? I assume it uses the same files.
