New Dragon's Dogma Online trailer

My biggest concern is what movesets and abilities will be in this incarnation. Combat shown thus far looks a lot more turgid and stiff, with not many abilities being shown for melee users or magic users.

The best part of Dragon's Dogma is the transformation from ambitious but weak explorer to a one many army capable of slaying anything in your path. Along with building up a pawn that can do the same.

Just don't like the lack of mobility or chaos.

I want this game. But, man, those characters look sooooo plain.

Capcom bring this to the west and I'll forgive you for MML3 and not making DD2 but this.

I swear. I'll do anything for it. ANYTHING is on the table, bobby.

Even on the table.

Why does every moderately successful-to-highly successful single player RPG series think it needs an online game?

While I'm thankful this isn't an MMO or a MOBA, the combat (arguably DD's greatest strength) looks like a pale imitation of what was available in the original game.

I get that Capcom doesn't have the money to be making AAA games willy-nilly, but experimental multiplayer titles like this and Deep-Down seem like even greater gambles.

I'm not really seeing what your seeing. The combat pretty much looks the same as the OG Dragons Dogma.

Graphics look really last gen, but it's Dragon's Dogma so I know it's gonna be fun to play. I hope it plays pretty much the same, just with some tweaks for playing with lots of people online.

OMG just noticed something!

So the Japanese lipsynching looks really bad, right?

But notice at the end when the guy says "Ikuzo!" He's actually mouthing only 2 syllables, almost like he's saying "Let's go!"

Lead language for cutscene indicates the game is being developed in English? NA release confirmed?

At least ,we can assume, it'll be 1080p and 60fps on PC and ps4 then .

Neat.
I'll be more interested in gameplay footage or at least trailer though. How is the dungeons, how big is the exploration, how many cities are there, etc.

If they keep the "Online" aspect trimmed down to a 4-6 person party, ala PSO, I am all-the-fuck over this. Dogma takes a lot of its inspiration from D&D; and offering a multiplayer quest game with a narrative (as evidenced by the cutscenes)... fuck me.

I really wish they had just given the fans what they asked for.

Who knows, this could be some sort of litmus test for a sequel proper. If they can generate some continuous income off it for a couple years, and gauge general interest, something may still come in the future. Unlikely, yes, but who knows.

I freaking loved Dragon's Dogma, imo it was the most underrated game of that year, such a great action-rpg/adventure game.

Sad that (so far) they haven't announced any plans for it coming over here.

Lip syncing is as amazing as ever =p (Yes I know it's probably a Japanese dub over)

That was a lot more hyped than I expected, the best thing was that everything you see could be done in game!

Now all we need is that out of placed J-Rock song....

Absolutely loved Dragons Dogma. If they can capture that amazing sense of exploration in an online environment then I am so in!
