I immediately thought Planescape Torment, since the story is good, the game play isn't really a draw, and if you watch a Let's Play it can be rather frustrating since the game and dialogue is so open ended.

I am guessing the upcoming Rocky podcast will ask people to watch their copy of the movie along with them. If so, the runtime differences due framerate differences in UK/US movies are likely going to make the sync a bit off.

Run it through an audio editor and stretch the commentary to match the duration (after accounting for when they begin the movie, etc). I've done this with a few commentaries before where they weren't in sync due to NTSC/PAL differences.

Trivial Pursuit Live shortly! This ought to be fun!

I also really enjoyed the two episodes of D&D so far. I've never played it or even watched someone else play it so it's new and exciting for me. It's not as awesome as the Avalon Unplugged but it's still super enjoyable.

Giant Bomb has been so good these past few months. It's just been slowly getting better and better. And I still need to start Metal Gear Scanlon 3.

I am way more excited for Drew to play MGS4. He will struggle less with the controls and the story is more bonkers. MGS3 is fine but I bet MGS4 will be a better watch.

Every 20 minutes or so in this Rocky podcast they put in the movie audio so you can make sure you are still in sync, so about halfway through Drew is doing a Stallone voice and they put in the movie audio in the middle of the impression and it kinda freaked me out.

The best moment so far has been Drew saying "I am not a gay man but"

Dan, the Expendables films don't hold a candle to the 80s action films that they hearken towards, but in terms of the franchise itself I'd rate it 3 > 2 > 1. They get the chemistry right between the cast beginning with 2 onwards (with Van Damme going a long way towards making 2 worth watching).

I never played through MGS 4. I'm with Jeff, in that 2 is my favorite. 1 was great. I didn't really like 3. I gave up at the boss fight where you're supposed to throw bad food on the ground. I couldn't get it to work properly and just never went back. With how much Jeff hypes up 4, I can't wait to see someone play through it.

What I'd like to see:

When playing online Ranked matches in Street Fighter 4, you accrue Battle Points per fight which increase your Rank for that specific character. Start at Rank F and move up to A, S, SS, etc. You hit Rank C after winning enough times with a single character to get 1000 Battle Points. This takes maybe a dozen or so victories, not too hard. There's an achievement in the game called "C To Shining C" which tasks you with getting Rank C with every character.

I want a feature that has Jason slowly, methodically, grinding that achievement out in the studio, either for USF4 or, more ideally, the corresponding achievement in SF5 once it releases.

What else I'd like to see:

Traitor Tuesdays, in which the duders sit down for an hour and play something like Shadows Over Camelot -- any co-op boardgame wherein one player is actually a dirty traitorous villain.

Rocky is such a weird and amazing serine.

The tonal shift from Rocky 1 which is legit one of the greatest drama films ever made to Rocky 4 which is a really fun silly movie always seemed nuts.

I dont know much about the making of the movies past 1 but I wonder what happened.



And I liked the idea of Rocky 5 being this return to a grounded story but it just didnt come together. Balboa did a much better job. That movie was shockingly good

I never threw food on the ground during a single boss fight in MGS3 and it's the first I've heard of it. Just putting it out there.

It was the boss in the wooded area that's invisible. He'd eat the bad food and slow down or something. This was a long time ago so I could be misremembering.

You don't have to use rotted food, it's just an option to make the fight a bit easier. I personally prefer the method where you take the fake death pill to completely trivialise the fight.

I did not know about that method at all. I may have kept playing back then. Ah well, I can watch Drew play through it.
