Verendus said a while ago , that Sega will announce their exclusive Ps4 Project this year which had some some struggles but is now ready to be shown.

Is it real?

OMG, E3 bets was so extreme it has come to the breaking point between #TeamHuber vs #TeamBossman. Shenmue or TLG? As if the stars were aligning for these two hype-men.

But what if both are revealed? Will GameTrailers implode and explode simultaneous as two bets collide in success and failure?

A new Shenmue game needs to be a Telltale/Life is Strange type of game. Driving forklifts, organizing books and carry boxes won't work in a game now.

SImulation games have a stable following, collectathon metagames are included in a myriad of AAA open world games. People are used to monotonous, repetitive tasks in their games, current games, the problem with Shenmue is that those are somewhat mundane every day tasks and not as glamorous as climbing a tower to collect a feather with no meaningful purpose but in Shenmue at least those serve to immerse the player in that character and that world.

I'd rather have a comic or manga. A ShenMue TV series would be better than that.

That new game style is like an interactive book more than a FREE style of game.

NO.

The great point about Shenmue IS the exploration, the world and everything in it.
It was never the biggest hit storywise, neither the best in any other department.
The true perfection was reached through the symbiosis of gameplay, technical advancements, the world, exploration and the wonderful music.
Everything just worked great together.

It was truly F.R.E.E.

fuckin' thank you

Well Good hopes
But for what?
Remaster ? Final Fantasy VII lol but i think it's nice for who didn't play the game if it is this good to play it now
Remake ? i think this is good cause didn't have the chance to play the game
New Sequel? umm... it's really will be good but too good to be true

My Body is ready, GAF. I've played the shit outta Shenmue 1 and 2, now I want to know that my perseverance has paid off. I'm aboard the never ending hype train. Patience, comes to those who wait. I have a feeling that Shenmue 3 is more of a reality someday than TLG will ever be.

I've never played the series, but I'd check out a new incarnation if only to see what everyone's so excited about!

For its time it was a technical achievement and it still pulls off things open world games today don't do. The environment actually shifted between night and day and certain businesses were closed/open.

The story itself was well written and engaging and 2 was left on a cliffhanger.
We at least need a written story if 3 will never happen.

Shenmue Collection won't work well in the current market. It was revolutionary for its time but now it is dated. I would love Shenmue 3 but the series needs a complete revamp to be big for today's gaming audience. It won't be the Shenmue we loved all those years ago.

Wait all of this speculation from a twitter picture of a Forklift? :p

I would LOVE to see Shenmue but I can't see it happening any time soon, even a remaster.

Glad to see Yu Suzuki at E3 though :D

Yep. Nobody cares that much about Shenmue's story, the whole package together is what makes Shenmue special..

The Great E3 Fanbase Wars of 2015

TLG Fans! Shenmue prevented TLG from being finished!

Shenmue fans! You would have your new game if not for Catbird love!

There is no room for both!

2015, the year when millions of videogamers cried tears of pure happyness that cured dIseases, hunger and violence.

I dont think "millions" defines the Shenmue fanbase... We'd have gotten new games if it had been that large.

I remain completely neutral on this as I dont think the originals were all that great, and have aged terribly.

Kingdom Hearts 3 fans are arguably the craziest.

So, Sony will do the same they did with SF.
3rd Party Productions will work on remaster. Sony will help Sega with Shenmue 3.
