And with all them damn enzymes and hormones they're putting in the milk these days, unfortunately I can totally see a 14 year using the right makeup, wearing the right outfit, and looking significantly older than she is.

What I DON'T get, is how you spend ANY length of time talking to a 14 year old and NOT realize you were talking to a 14 year old! What the fuck did y'all talk about? Snapchat and school lunches???

And if you didn't talk...well then, nigga that's own damn fault. I hear probation ain't too bad these days.

Keep in mind that we are looking at it from our perspective. We're older and have way more life experience vs a 19 year old computer science student who met this girl on an app. I'm definitely stereotyping, but I have a feeling this guy wasn't interacting with a lot of females/probably would be making GAF dating age threads and not listening to advice. And if the girl was saying she was 17 years old the app, she was probably pretending to be older in person too. Now this wouldn't be enough to fool most people, but this guy? Probably.

He's still an idiot, but this isn't like Tyga or something. Plus with the judge throwing out crazy statements, I at least "get" the defense force.

Because Madden and FIFA are the cash kings of the company. You may not care, but year after year people buy the yearly installments and more importantly for EA, spend gobs of money on the Ultimate Team crap. I read about the numbers they are pulling in for that stuff and it is crazy. As far as watching E3, I think it is a very vocal minority who does that. We assume it is everyone since we are on GAF, but most people I know that play games don't watch.


In other news...I am about done with the Rachel story. Whenever a story moves into thinkpiece territory, I am done. She did what she did, she really wanted to be black and pretended to be that. The extreme lengths she went to do this indicates she has some mental issues, but whatever. The situation in the Dominican is much more important, IMO. But that is going to go ignored by most, but let's make sure to spread Rachel memes!!!!

I was gonna post the TWIB podcast... well fuck it, I might as well. There was a special guest who writes for Essence. She grew up in Spokanne(?) Washington so her paths crossed Rachel when she lived there. Spoke on the race conditions in the neighborhood. A lot of insight from a local.

And I don't care that he got caught and was punished. But I can't cosign on him being on the predator list for 25 years like he's R Kelly or likes 5 year old girls.

The phasers for the justice system are stuck on 'fuck him as hard as possible'. And it makes a joke out of Megan laws. I'm really not sure if someone is on there due to child porn or having sex with their gf who is 3 years younger or having sex on the beach or pissing in public. The original purpose was to find predators. These guys could have had a lot to drink and a bladder infection and they get stuck in the same room as the guy driving the van handing out candy.

I can sympathize with the unfairness of the sex offenders registry for things like drunken urinating etc. And I definitely ran into a few bullshitters. I had someone on tindr straight up tell me they were 14 after a few exchanges back and forth, and then get mad when I didn't respond.

The way "justice" works needs to be re-examined. Law, justice, etc. are used as profit centers and have the goal of putting people away vs protecting the public. That is a slight, but important distinction. The goal is to put as many people in jail as possible, so common sense gets thrown out the window.

It's sad when ex-prosecutors and judges running for office tout conviction rates, not crime rates in campaigns. Showing that you actually did something for the community besides creating ex-cons should be more important.

Points for him going IN on the tendency of some black men to allow and actually protect non-black women who say and do extremely racist shit because they're hot, or because they acknowledge black men as hyper-virile (which is in itself racist as fuck).

It seems like people are angry because by Coates saying the Dolezal story is less important, he's discounting people's anger over it. I don't think he is, and I think the main point of that article is that the media is hyping the shit out of her story while burying/avoiding the McKinney pool incident, Kalief Browder, etc. There are also a lot of ashy motherfuckers who are trying to give Dolezal a "pass" while they're also the first ones to shit on black women and ignore how hard they go for us, so the anger from that is compounding it.
