Planetside, in addition to all Free to Play games on PS4, do not require PlayStation Plus. Driveclub PS Plus Edition obviously does, but you do not need plus to download and play Planetside online.

Oh, great! You were the one who asked about comparisons between this and FH2, right? Glad you're enjoying it. Unfortunately the Season 2 stuff is just speculation right now. The current season pass runs until the next major DLC pack (out this month), so it seems likely that, with the PS+ edition out just now, a new set of content will be announced. Nothing official (apart from hints on twitter) has been announced in that regard. If one is announced I'd love to see tracks in a city and tracks in a desert with massive dunes included. Did you buy the single Ferrari? It's not part of the season pass. It is a shortcut basically, as it can be unlocked in the game for free if you play enough of the Ferrari content.

Not yet. But I might once I play more. I figured I get it anyways since they are (IMO) different type of racing games and I think the MP in drive club will be better than Forza Horizon 2.
I'm really enjoying the racing and the graphics are fantastic. The only thing I need learn how to do is drift (not good at it yet). I was going to wait for the PS+ version but wanted to take advantage of the discount it had for the main game..and to support the developer.

This isnt any different from normal ps plus free games in that if you dont have platform you can still get access to it by putting it on your download list? I just would like to have another game ahead of time before my ps4 purchase didn't know if this would be any different.

Have to agree with you 100% on this one. Sometimes I prefer to actually buy the game rather than wait for it to go free on Games with Gold (xbox) or w/ Playstation +. This game is a good example of that.

Cool, I'll download it and check it out. Not crazy about racers, but it's part of the + package.
I'm happy because its another box ticked on the 'Stuff Sony need to do' list leftover from launch.
Plus hopefully there will be loads of people really enjoying this and the Drivecult can grow.

Now it will just be, "the games too arcade", "the game is too sim", "the game is too easy", "the game is too hard", "I'm entitled where's the rest of the game", "another game is better than this", same shit from pretty much every game related thread ever.
I'm thinking it might be wise to include a tutorial on how to take a racing line in the OT as it seems those racing lines from other games haven't worked and questions about braking and apexes appear to come up a lot.
IIRC you can do this when setting up conditions in single race mode - at least with weather and precipitation anyway.

I was so, so fortunate to get the game for free (technically). During the annual B2G1 sale at Target, I bought Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. I decided for my free game, I'd get Driveclub, especially after seeing the first videos detailing the weather effects.
Yes - corner tutorial would help a lot of new drivers

Don't worry, PS+ edition is a cut down version. only 1/5 locations and 13/50 cars.

That's the full game. Minus the dlc, of course.
You get the hang of it.

They can be so realistic to the point where it is both fun and not fun at the same time. Seriously, try heavy snow at night. It is ridiculous. It is glorious. It is impossible.
Edit- I just realized you downloaded the PS+ Edition. The India tracks don't have snow.

If you get the full game and season pass, wait till you are going up against the Venom Hot Lap, you think that's tough then you need to run it again at night in the rain, and you only get another 4 seconds allowance for a lap time.

Been playing this game since day 1 and loving it up until now. The driving model just clicks with me and I love the sound design. It's IMO the best in terms of graphics, sense of speed, engine and environmental/weather sound effects. It's just so immersive with a surround sound headset. I'm glad the Ps plus version is finally releasing and more people will get to experience this great racing game. The photomode is also quite awesome.
