I think I'm going to watch this Game Center CX tomorrow in remembrance. He come across as someone who really did love games. Not only did he enjoy creating them, but also playing them. He really was a gem in the industry and certainly one of a kind.
While Nintendo has had some ups and downs under his leadership, this is such a tragic thing to hear. It's hard to imagine how Nintendo will move forward without him. RIP Satoru Iwata.
Rest In Peace Iwata. A great man who contributed much to the industry. You will be missed by family, friends, and those who knew him. My prayers for them.
I know Nintendo has been getting a lot of criticism lately, but there's no denying this man practically helped built Nitendo into what it is today along with his influence in the video game industry overall.
Rest in peace, Iwata. You will be dearly missed. Nintendo have gotten me through some tough times in my life. I will remember you and all the experiences your company have given me
Maybe Shibata? I honestly have no idea. Everyone on the board of directors is incredibly old. It won't be Miyamoto. He's 62 and too ingrained on the creative side of things. Aside from Shibata, I cannot think of anyone else. NOE has had a very solid turnaround under his leadership.
