There's camera smoothing option, and the framerate drops aren't that noticeable.

You can see what others said about the matter here:

From my experience the camera smoothing does little but cause the controls to become sluggish and unresponsive, even on the highest sensitivity settings.

And I would say the fluctuating framerate is very obvious, especially when you go indoors to outdoors, but then again these things depend completely upon how sensitive you are to them. It doesn't bother me enough to not enjoy the game, but I would prefer they locked it down to 30fps.

I'm impressed by the level of detail on the Porsches. They seem to be a step above other cars in the game.

Maybe they started using the Forza Motorsport 6 modelling engine halfway through the year? The FM6 shots showed the cars having more detail, right?

Cheap AA in the name of performance is one thing, but CA? Devs have got to cut this shit out, ASAP. I seriously can't understand why anyone thinks it looks good. At least give us the option to turn it off.

Personally, its a matter of how its used... If, for example, its used as a cool effect when the player uses say... a teleporter and the color separation stretches in and out of the screen, that could be cool... But i agree, if its in a game without a purpose then it should be barely noticeable or not used at all.

Wut? wet road? In what shot do you see something on top of the hood? I'm confused.

just seems the road is artificially smooth. like no texture on it. just a black sheen and rain-drops. like plastic... doesn't look like any read I've ever seen. just wondered if it was some weird surface you were driving on.

Are we absolutely sure that this game runs at 1600x900 and not some 1360x1080? It's either the latter, or this is the crispest 900p game I have ever seen.

I wouldn't call this game even remotely crisp. Not even on PS4 at 1080p. The cheap AA, CA, and film grain make for a very blurry and gritty IQ imo. Which I guess isn't too much of a bad thing as it suits the tone and atmosphere of the game quite well.

Have Eurogamer ever been wrong about something similar? I only started following their articles last year.

I know what you mean, there is a boatload of post processing being used, but even with it, it looks very sharp to me. It's no Forza Horizon 2 clean, but it's a hell of a lot better than Ryse, I would say it looks even slightly crisper than Sunset Overdrive, and that game looks pretty good for 900p.
I don't know, maybe the tech teams at Xbox had a change of work ethic. Something along the lines of: "Hey guys, we know we are going to have a hard time pushing 1080p due to hardware, how about instead we use some of that software expertise to improve our upscaler, make the resolution drop less noticeable." I mean, setting any game to 900p on PC, I can instantly notice the blur, but it's way less noticeable on consoles, at least at that 900p range, because BF4 looks like a blurry mess at 720p. Their teams have done some magic with the software backwards compatibility, so I wouldn't be surprised if they refined the upscaler too in similar fashion.

Yea, but that's not what I'm saying, though. Does it look sharper to you than the other 900p games on the console, if you have played any of them?
Yeah, though not by a whole lot due to the res, guess the AA also helps making it a bit sharper.

The Sharefunction/picturequality of the Ps4 needs to get better (and I really need to find a better hoster. Not happy with imgur/minus/cube/whatever)

I wonder if they'll update Ethen Carter with a photomode at some point? It's a game that could really benefit from a proper PS4 style photomode.

Some Witcher 3.

Man, Sony really needs to update the PS4 screenshot feature to add an HD option or something.
Compression really hurts The Witcher 3 in screenshots (I feel like more than other games).

Still:
