Zombi - Pure Survival Horror is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC [ZombiU Port]

Why Ubisoft even bother to make the port? And a dumbed port in addition? Wider field of view, brighter environment, no gamepad, removed online stuff...

Looks more like a typical PS4/One action game and not like survival horror. I loved the Wii U version for many reasons but this port seems not nearly as good as the original.

I actually like that its brighter than the Wii U version. I struggle to play the Wii U version, even at night because its so goddamn dark. Real flashlights are far more effective than they are portrayed in this game, so I find myself grumbling about how I can't see anything fairly often. I've even adjusted my TV to make sure it doesnt just have shit settings.

I might buy this. I don't know. Its $20, brighter, and I can record/stream pretty easily with it. Those are tempting perks. Then again its $20 and I already have it on Wii U which uses the gamepad (which I like).

Can't decide. Will wait to see how it looks a bit more.

Maybe they're hoping the fairy dust success magic surrounding the PS4/X1 and the next couple of years worth of steam sales will help recoup some of those costs from the original dev period (the game was in development for a long time in lots of different incarnations and for various platforms).

I will confirm it once more.

- Not able to loot dead Friends.
- Not able to leave messages to Friends.
- Unable to see your own shadow (lol).
- Unable to be truly immersed (no Gamepad, way too much brightness)
- Terrible UI
- Missing visual effects (Texture Filtering, Filters, shadows and detail on various objects and Zombis.

Is this really 720 30 fps on PS4?

No, it varies between 10 - 60 fps.

This surprised me too. It's a horror survival, darkness is a part of it. Use flashlight, get scared, turn on the lights in your room. What's with this brightness now? Do you play as a cat?

Wow, i cant even... :( Damn. How is it possible that a Console with so much more power is not able to deliver. Who made the port?

Jeez, it sounds like all Ubi gave a budget for was making it work without the Gamepad. I feel bad for Straight Right.

Bad port and Uplay? Ubisoft must be drunk.

runs great on my pc. i7 2600k, 8gb ram and a gtx 970. looks way better than the wiiu version, of course, and judging from ps4 videos, it looks far better than that version too. i'm glad they removed the "dirty lens" effect, i hate games that use it, it makes no sense unless the protagonist has glass eyeballs.

Well look at that

For now. I went ahead and just got it on Uplay, but I would wait to see if it pops up on Steam later today if you want it there.

Is there an FOV slider? This version is a bit too 'zoomed out' for my liking. I preferred the way it was in the Wii U version.

Have exactly the same PC, can you specify "great" - does that mean 60fps without drops maxed at 1080p ? Because that would be swell.

unless the game is locked to 30 fps, I can't image a Wii U game not running at 60 fps on midrange PCs. The game wasn't exactly taxing the Wii U in any way.

Shitty programming can kill anything. Saints Row 2 ran like shit on anything while looking like shit no matter the hardware and it took some very talented modders to fix it up.

Well, it doesn't seem to run very good on the new consoles and they shoud have no problems with this game too, and they kind of are midrange PCs.

Yup that framerate is shit. Also my camera seemed to bug out at one location. it was like it wanted to keep looking at the center of the street. Just sad because I'm enjoying playing the game more then on Wii U thanks to no 2nd screen. The port though was just an awful port. Typical Ubisoft game too. Bug filled.

Still want it. I'm sure it'll look better than the Wii U on my I7 4790k / 970 setup. The wider FOV will be fine, though I'm worried the game won't support 2560x1080. The only other thing that made me sigh was the removal of some of the 'dirty camera' filters. I'm the one guy that really liked them and thought they added to the atmosphere.

Man I wish it would hurry up and appear on Steam.

yeah there's an option but you can increase or decrease in %'s so you'll have to tinker with it yourself and figure out what's best. no graphical settings though, just resolution and vsync so it's very barebones.
