Here's the thing, right all open worlds are not created equal. While Mordoors got compared to AssCreed over and over again, by media and players alike, its world design is barely even there. It's like some half hearted effort that I've knocked up in a map editor. Where as Unity, while having some hideous LOD issues, actually feels like every little facet of its world is authored along with specific buildings from that time in history. This isn't even going on about the interiors and amount of work that's gone into designing them but if you wanted an interactive tour of faux Paris circa the 18th century then Unity is pretty much bang on. Mordoors and Mad Max has bland and empty worlds that while they might fit their settings and narative they aren't/don't look half as entertaining to get lost in like an AssCreed.

I could tollerate Mordor as the gameplay was sort of there despite having to game the Nemisis system to make full and proper use of it but Mad Max I really don't see very much gameplay there at all about from drive here, beat up some dudes or blow up their cars, grab the 'inset item name here' with a button press and then move on to the next encounter. Maybe there's some story missions that flesh things out, maybe there's something other than combat or scavenger hunting, maybe Avalanche have been holding back the good stuff but I know what I like and mopping about a barren Wasteland and getting into fights every now and then by some jumped up chavs (guess it would be bogans in Mad Max) in their pimped out cars isn't really my idea of fun. Plus if I wanted that experience all I got to do is pop down the high street round the corner.

At least AC can hold my attention with the setting and the amount of craftsmanship that went into the world. Everything else is sometimes hit or miss, but still.

Mordor kinda fell apart for me after the Nemesis system lost its lustre (you get too strong and everyone is chump change, even your nemeses), and the world is rather dull (yes, both of them) and there's not really much engaging side content.

You could sorta make the same argument for Just Cause 2 but that game is beautiful enough it makes up for being mostly repetitive, but at least that gameplay loop was fun enough that I just loaded it up whenever I had a backlog of podcasts, and just fucked around or went collectible hunting.

Mad Max looks like Shadow of Mordor to me, IMO. Open world looks really dull - I get it's part of the appeal - but no thanks. Melee combat looks interesting but I don't think it's enough to trick me into getting it like the Nemesis system did.

I called my bank and there's no issues, I submitted a ticket on Steam Support (Still no answer), everything was fine previous to 27th, now I can't buy anything.... :(

Yeap there is definitely new intern in Valve. Steam mobile app is getting almost weekly updates. Sometimes even two per week. No new features unfortunately.

Huh, I didn't think Mankind Divided was going to be so soon... same with Mirror's Edge 2 and Uncharted 4 -- I thought Uncharted 4 got pushed back a good bit already instead of launching in Holiday 2015 timeframe.

I totally get what you mean. FO3's world is a lot more fun, but all the intricate details in NV were just so logical that I can't help but love it.

There's no batshit crazy, illogical settlements built around nukes or inside of incredibly impractical hotel-towers, and every single settlement more or less has a logical reason as to why it's located where it's located... But it's not as fun, but I'll be damned if it isn't a lot more detailed.

For the 100th time, MOBA doesn't actually mean anything. Multiplayer Online Battle Arena means actually nothing. It doesn't play like LoL or Dota, it's not an RTS like game. I played it, it's actually pretty fun, I was in the Alpha. I don't have Windows 10, nor do I feel like installing it yet and for the beta you have to have that from that point forward.

In any case MOBA is a dumb term and people need to not just make judgments based off of hearing that. People need to actually try these multiplayer games and not just be immediately doom them because the term "MOBA" is used.

The only sonh I liked was "Lift me Up" and even that wasn't the pinnacle of art.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
The world of New Vegas is objectively, measureabley better and more believable.

The topography of Fallout 3 is better.

The term MOBA can literally...Literally apply to any and all multiplayer games ever.

You can call any fucking map a battle arena, it's such a nonsense term Riot coined. That's probably the one thing I hate the most about them.

I prefer the term ARTS that Valve uses for Dota.

Although I can't say I'm overly interested in Gigantic; Steam or nothin', I say.

Exactly. You get what I mean. Its fine if you aren't interested in the game, I just said I liked what I played is all lol.

But yeah the term MOBA is just horrible, especially since people have it cemented in their mind that, that means games like Dota or League. ARTS is much better for Dota or League.

It really is.

Although to be honest, I am interested in Gigantic, but I just hate not being able to have a game I like to play on Steam, so I'm hoping it'll be on Steam. Either way I'm definitely trying it out eventually, as it looks quite nice aesthetically.

I don't think it ever will sadly :(. I would want it on Steam too but MS is pushing that Win10 store hard.
