That Tales of Zestiria story DLC code thing is a bummer. Because I don't have the game, I can't redeem the DLC code before it supposedly expires tomorrow. But I'm definitely not buying it at full price just to redeem a DLC code (and since I won't have the DLC even if I buy it later, it diminishes my chances of buying it later on).

I just learned that unlike Dark Souls, in Dark Souls II, dying with a Ring of Life Protection does not mean loosing the ring forever but just repairing it for cheap. Basically you can stay human easily indefinitely. I feel stupid :/
? I don't think it expires at all. The free promo is ending, yes, but if you get a code now it won't expire.
This RPG maker game on Greenlight is so awful it has to get on steam. The voice acting seems to be done all by one guy even if the characters are women, There is some kind of narrator that is voiced when you pick up an item only to have the main character repeats it. He even voiced (poorly) the name of the attacks during battle haha.

Origin never plays nice with Paypal. I've been having issues for about a year now and Origin support is absolutely useless on the matter. And believe you me, tons of other folks have issues using Paypal through Origin. You'd think they'd fix the fucking thing.

On mobile, with pics disabled: saw 'Relic', stupidly assumed 'Relic Entertainment', got inordinately excited...only to then view the image/follow the link.
I wish this game well, and thank you as always for the post, lashman (I love your work) - but this is not the Relic I'm looking for, thank you!

Looks like EA laid an egg with Battlefront. The reviews are very mediocre and just about everyone claims it lacks content/depth. I still can't believe they didn't make a singleplayer campaign. If Visceral could pour so much resources into making a campaign for Hardline then so can DICE. No excuses.
The Star Wars universe deserves so much more than just some boring pew pew shooter. All the rich characters and stories wasted for nothing. Disney should strip EA of the license and give it to someone else.

Most of the reviews are relatively positive about the game play, just decry the lack of maps for the main modes(walker assault and supremacy)
I mean it's a Battlefront game, you shouldn't go there for a compelling story. EA is making a story based game with Amy Hennig who was behind the Uncharted and Legacy of Kain games.

I find it funny how Disney has their games on Steam but lets EA wall Star Wars behind Origin instead of having it everywhere.
Unfortunately they have a 10 year contract and it may get extended again anyways. Well, I hope the Amy Hennig game is good and we get a proper Republic/Imperial Commando sequel.

I'm still reeling from the horrible treatment One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 got. Namco dropped it like a hot sack of crap onto the store and just left it for modders to take care of (the final level straight up doesn't work at all without a mod to fix it). I thought about buying Tales of Zestiria but as soon as I saw it was Namco, I immediately pushed the thought out of my mind.

Herbert in Valkyria Chronicles is like, the best worst character ever.
1) He has no enthusiasm for being on your squad.
2) He has a potential that makes him give up trying when his HP reaches single digits.
3) He has a hidden potential that lets him disregard your orders entirely if he doesn't feel like doing shit.
Herbert is me if I were a unit in this game, instead of the one playing it.

Veteran mode is now available as an update! To play it, just start a new game and veteran option will be available. If you have already finished normal mode, of course
The skins are DLC, so, if you want some cool new skins you can buy them.
Hope you guys enjoy it, veteran mode is a really cool way to replay odallus, it is not just more difficult but features:
-different relics and equipment locations
-new enemy placement
-six new enemies
-bosses are stronger
-some levels have new areas
-new puzzles
-if you run out of lives you lose all your orbs
-hp is not restored after leaving a location
-salesman prices are higher

I'm assuming a bunch of you guys have the Steam controller by now. Opinions seem to be pretty mixed overall but I was wondering what SteamGAF's opinion is?
My dualshock 3's left stick has been getting stuck for a little while now and it's gotten annoying enough that I'm really tempted to replace it. Is the Steam controller a solid replacement or should I just get a dualshock 4?
I'm torn because I play pretty much everything that's not a shooter or strategy game with a controller and I don't want to end up in a situation where I keep going back to the DS3 because the trackpads don't work that great for game x. For example, Dark Souls III is something I'll definitely want to use a reliable controller for.

I play Dragon Quest IX while watching football on Saturdays, amazed that it actually works.
Nope. I was waiting for a discount on the $55 UE. Since the store page is still up, I'm thinking either the subs were taken down by mistake or Episode 2 is no longer happening but the first episode was supposed to remain available.
Edit: Ubi said it was working on activating Syndicate's pre-load on Steam seven hours ago now. I'm beginning to think it'll unlock first in AU/NZ in roughly 9.5 hours, at which point it'll be pre-loadable for everyone else.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
Considering all the other devs/pubs getting in on the action, it sorta seems inevitable.
On the other hand, I've always wondered if there isn't some Walmart/Gamestop/Yakuza arrangement with smaller publishers where their brick and mortar retail agreements make pursuing digital distribution of any kind totally non-viable. I know Walmart/Gamestop don't want publishers selling digital goods for cheaper than retail copies. I wonder if it isn't even more draconian in Japan.
I mean. If Nippon Ichi is publishing on Steam now, and Atlus is owned by SEGA--one of the bigger PC publishers...Surely Atlus has heard of Steam by now. And there are iOS ports of some Persona games, somebody over there knows how to port stuff.
