Well one is a cover shooter, the other has you killing hundreds of zombies as an even b-movier Zoltan cosplay using chainsaws, buckets and flame throwers.
I say pre-order DR now then when your credit card statement's out, drop cash for QB

It's not a cover shooter. It's pretty much in the vein of Max Payne 3 or Vanquish, where you COULD play both games like a cover shooter, but if you did for more than just a quick breather, you were doing things wrong.

Grief why is this even a question? Dead Rising is amazing and Quantum Break is average.

Ya I'm not that conflicted. Dead Rising is an underrated classic.

Was just a perfect time for a Larry David gif.

That was the impression I got from watching gameplay, like it was a mistake to sit in cover.

I have a feeling many journalists were playing it incorrectly though.

Here, use this one to express Microsoft's reaction to the UWP version sales.

yep...if you're just playing it like a regular cover shooter and not using the powers you gain as you play then there's no point in playing

at the beginning of the game playing it like a cover shooter is fine but once you get more of the powers (and upgrade them) the cover is best used to scan where the enemies are to make better use of your abilities and then go after them

Well now I'm more hype for it.
After Uncharted series I've become particular about my cover shooting games @_@

Beautiful! Timed WinStore exclusivity is a pill I'm willing to swallow.
Any info whether live-action episodes are gonna be streamed or included in download would be cool.

I just asked on Twitter so waiting to see if I get a response

The PC version streamed at 4K with no option to make it lower (AFAIK) so it made the live content not the best at times. Would like to see them at least give the option to lower that (or like you said just download it like the XB1 version)

Quantum Break on Steam, I didn't expect it quite so soon.
So in that Giantbomb interview when Phil said that they will still release games on Steam, he wasn't lying after all, and wasn't talking just about small downloadable games.

That's something.

What the fuck is happening in this NMS multiplayer thread? And there are now over a thousand people watching two streamers on twitch trying to find each other?

hard to justify paying money for a game with this bad of a critical reception ~

If I could get NMS for $40 in the US I would 100% be on the ride. But $60 (or $54 via Humble maybe) is just, I dunno. Not necessary.

also I finally updated to the new Windows 10 Anniversary thing...and my computer is completely fine

no BIOS problems, no partitions deleted, NVIDIA Control Panel is still there, Steam browser loads in-client with no problems...etc

and just got a response on Twitter about the live action Quantum Break content on PC...looks like it will be the same as the W10 version so it'll be streaming only at 4K

One of those is a port from a dead platform and the other is Dead Rising.

x64 version will fix a lot of those performance concerns that initially plagued the UWP versions. Quantum Break launched in a really bad place.

As discussed earlier, the journalist gameplay I did watch showed them actually playing the game incorrectly. Failing to use the game systems to their intended level. Whether that be a problem with the journalists or to the developers not making this apparent is up to debate, but playing the game incorrectly will negatively impact their perception.

Quantum Break and GTA V have a lot in common. GTA V sold 60 million copies before it was on steam. Quantum Break sold 60 copies and is on its way to steam.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Quantum Breaks performance should double with this move. Expect framerates to be in the high single digits.

The last thing i'd do is to look at metacritic, personally. Would've missed out on some of my favorite videogames if i did.
