There have been SO MANY MOMENTS in the first 15 hours that have thrilled me, both tiny moments and big moments. They're doing so much right.

Also: I played the notoriously awful-looking Titan boss fight they showed on-stage at E3. In-game it's actually fun!

Major sites like Polygon usually don't have the most trustworthy reviews for games like these. I'll wait until the release frenzy has died down and then see what people say.

Final Fantasy is relevant again! I hope =p

In 15 hours with Final Fantasy 15 I experienced dozens of moments like this, little developments that had me actually squealing with delight. I still have some concerns, like whether the story will pay off in the long-term, or why some of the voice acting is so rough, or how the camera can get really finicky during intense, close-quarters combat scenarios. But any complaints I have feel really petty right now in light of what Square Enix seems to have accomplished with Final Fantasy 15.

That is: It’s made Final Fantasy relevant again. They’ve actually done it. I cannot wait to play more.

Strange how much my opinion on this game shifts, I thought it looked pretty bad, the platinum demo came out which was terrible but now lately all the videos and previews look really good. No way a pre-order but I'm excited to see the review scores for this one.

Heh, FF XIII was highly praised too in the previews/reviews, going to watch this now.
Still got my pre-order even though both demo gameplay were not so hot.

I'm hopeful the game ends up good, but man I did not like how it played at all in the platinum demo.

I'm glad at least a few people remember how well reviewed 13 was. Or infamous GTA4. Or Aliens Colonial Marines. Or release Destiny.

"Made Final Fantasy relevant" is an interesting comment. I see a lot of Western game DNA in there and the result is what appears to be an incredibly dull Final Fantasy. We'll see.

Great to hear that the story seems good (even if it's just early game). Still not fully sold on the gameplay though. For example this quote:

Doesn't sound super positive to me. More like he got used to the clumsy combat. I really hope the gameplay is fun and deep enough.

i've thought it looked cool for awhile, but that demo was offputting, combat felt like a laggy slog. if they fixed that then im interested again

I actually know people who consider this game a guaranteed let down because of the delays.... FOOLS!

I have my reservations still because they've all been shite since FFX but I am happy for this one.

All aboard the car/plane hype train

I thought the first 15 hours of IX, XIII and XIII-2 were good too. Let's just hope the rest of XV turns out better than they did.

I hope it's not one of those situations where the previews/prereviexs are good ("first 15h ahora great, minor complains etc") and then it ends like ReCore (which was greatly previewed but poorly reviewed)

Looking forward to play it this Holidays btw
