Wow, thanks for the heads up. Pulled up my order via the order lookup tool and took a screencap of the entire order in case they do that.

They've been shady lately. Worst one was letting folks know they won't be honoring the 10% off PSVR preorder deal, 5 days after it had already shipped out/arrived with a "can't return/exchange if opened" policy.

I couldn't even see my order number after it was cancelled, I had to call in to confirm it was indeed cancelled.

When you ordered did you get an email? Maybe the order number is there and you can present that as proof?

So yeah, both sets will give you great 4K and HDR, the KS8000 is just full over 1100 nits brightness for HDR10 spec. The night and day difference would be between an OLED and the Sony Z9D FALD instead of these edge lit televisions.

Yep, same order number. I even forwarded my original order e-mail to the rep on the phone and she had no idea what to do, she even looked up orders to be sent to my postal code just to see if it was misfiled and nothing.

I hate how my local shoppers hides all video games in the back. If Im ever looking for a video game I have to ask some middle aged lady to check who has no idea what the difference between a Nintendo or Playstation is.

That Origin price on Titanfall 2 with the TITAN20 code is incredible. Ultra excited to jump into the game tonight :D

I returned something at Bestbuy on Friday the 11th and they still did not reimburse me. Has it ever taken this long for anyone? I usually get it back within 2-3 days.

Assuming Best Buy doesn't find a way to screw up my old Future Shop order (either by cancelling it outright or by removing the hidden $30 discount they should have applied when I migrated all my old Future Shop orders--so far so good but I had to change the credit card recently and the CSR didn't seem like the brightest bulb), $39.99.

The whole "trust us, we'll charge you full price when the game ships and then seven days later refund you the discount" thing still sketches me out, even though it's worked for three out of the four games on the order (FFXV being the last).

I was lucky enough to get one of those glitched amazon preorders that gave me -30% and -15%, so i get Final Fantasy for $27.50 plus tax.

I think I've settled for the KS8000, the deeper blacks and brighter panel with better HDR is I think more important until another ~5 years when OLEDs will be more affordable.
So I will probably buy from BH Photo, unless Best Buy miraculously discounts it by $500 for Black Friday. I read that BH Photo ship from a Toronto warehouse? Do I leave it on the "Auto pay" setting for the customs and duties? Or since this is NAFTA marked, it won't have duties but only Ontario tax, so $897 USD to $1200 CAD plus 13%?
Also, how does warranty work if something's wrong? I am guessing just the standard Samsung warranty? But do they care that you bought it from the US?

Yes HST in USD. The manufacturer warranty won't work here. You will need to use their own warranty. $1304 all in for 55" with 2 yr warranty.

For the square trade warranty. You will repair it locally and they will reimburse what you pay. If it can't be repaired, they refund you for the cost of the TV.

Then a 49" for me should be ~100 CAD less.

May not be the right thread but I have FFXV on Amazon and want to keep it but I saw ebgames has the kings tale as a free bonus. What's their return policy when it come to unopened games like that? Their site says the code is on the receipt

Even if you bought it locally, most TV's will usually survive the 2 year warranty. It's always on day 731, where the cracks begin to show. Haha.
