No, the demo is Worldwide. It just isn't up in EU or US yet.
Well you can look back at the last few trailer music tracks if you aren't satisfied. I don't doubt the music is gonna be good since the singer from the last game will also return.

Getting hit with Nier: Automata DEMO cannot download
Does it say why? I had an issue trying to download something earlier that said something about the DNS (which didn't make much sense as my PS4 could go online and the store was working and I had just finished downloading something else). I reset and it worked then.
My PS4 has also recently told me I don't have enough room for things despite having around 50GB free and trying to download things under 10GB and that just seems to be a general problem with every download with me lately.

Well the opening boss battle is literally a version of Song of the Ancients.
I'm aware. However what's in the demo itself isn't noteworthy. I'm hoping this is the exception rather it being the other way.

Great to hear. Will be able to play in about 10 hours but glad it seems to be delivering on the combat side.
I'm still early in the demo and only fought the mini boss or something. I'm assuming you aren't talking about that?

Yeah I found a thread on here about having way more room than needed and it doing this. Deleted like 50 GB and it worked

Yeah the big claw at the beginning.
Humanity was indeed doomed with the fall of the Shadowlord but there's a small part on Grimoire Nier that says that there was a fitch batch of succefull Gestalized humans so maybe they grab from there for the sequel (although it will make weird how there's nothing about that in Nier 1).
About Emil, he does an army of closes to fight the aliens that invades Earth way after Nier 1. The clones get kidnapped by the Aliens, hence why the enemies look like Emils in the sequel.

How is the difficulty on Normal? Is fine or more on the easy side like Bayo 2 for RPG players? Bayo 1 was fine on normal but Bayo 2 needed to be played on Hard first.

Yeah, you hear a taste of Song of the Ancients at the beginning. So good.
It's somewhat useful to close in on aerial enemies.

Ahh makes sense. Beat the demo, but haven't gone back to try out all what I can do.
Doesn't look like you can use this to extend a combo if you do a second jump and an attack. It also eats your second jump. First jump plus a number of attacks after seems okay, on the other hand. You can do double jump and the pod kick too, it seems.
Fire + Jump to do this, for the curious.
Still can't get Persona 5 on PC though brah so might as well get that ps4.

Some attacks the demo doesn't tell you about unless I missed them:
Evade + Light (ground) - throws a sword that spins for damage while dashing forward, wasn't quite able to follow up with anything after doing this
Evade + Heavy (air) - a lunge that travels a good deal of distance, varies depending on the weapon; from what I can tell, it has a fixed distance so you have to space it properly
Small jump + Heavy (air) - launches the enemy upwards, an alternate to a parry follow-up
Fire + Jump - a kick performed while riding the pod, useful for extending air combos, eats up your double jump, can't be performed after a double jump + attack though you can do a double jump + pod-kick
I think you can also cancel an attack mid-animation and perform it again to do double the damage using the evade button, though I haven't messed around with this too much. You can weapon switch mid-combo, probably using a combination of evade to cancel animations and stuff? Maybe.

Pretty big IQ difference here. Very noticable aliasing on the standard PS4 and very smooth on Pro. What resolution does the standard PS4 version have, is it below 1080p?
Texture filtering also seems to be better on Pro.
