LOL.
If Nier turns out to be a turd then changes need to be made, not continually funded.
Given the reaction from both the demo and trade show demos, I highly doubt that game turns out bad. At best it's simply "good".

Is not only Scalebound and you know it.
Well since KI is on PC anyway its time to sell my Xbone.
If this turns out to be true I think this leaves Sea of Thieves as their sole original IP in development, right?
Ha ha ha brand suicide. Please, this will barely be a blip in their stock price, you need to step back from the extreme fandom dude.
Hahahaha.

Jesus, give me a break. Okay, maybe "brand suicide" is a little exaggerated statement, but this is still bad PR. Microsoft needs to release clear statement about situation around this game, but we all know how clear MS can be with their PR pieces. I'll be surprised if they'll tell us details about what happened.LMAO, are you serious?
Oh well, here goes this meme. Goddamit people, why you are so cruel, I'm still learning english!Microsoft just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Kamiya fans (I'm an expert), but expecting tons of funding for poor selling games is a huge part of it. It's not like it is with other devs where you can become successful by having a marketable concept. If you cancel a Kamiya game you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is that Kamiya's dozen fans, after hearing about this, are not going to want to purchase an Xbox One, nor will they purchase any of Microsoft's games on PC. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Microsoft has alienated like 12 or or so people with this move.
Microsoft, publicly apologize and uncancel Scalebound for Xbox One or you can kiss your business goodbye.
Because all this cancelled game rage needs to be directed at something.
Looking at the footage I don't even blame Microsoft.
Imagine it from their perspective. They probably thought they were getting Vanquish, and ended up with
Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Recore?
Why because he possibly cancelled a game that looked like shit in every viewing ever for it? If anything he's ending a disaster before it even takes more money that he can use for something else. Nothing is wrong with that but I see your hatred for Xbox so that's fine in your eyes.Do you get my dislike for Spencer now, Spencer believers? Do you fucking get it?
What the fuck?
I don't think they could possibly explain this unless Platinum have been missing deadlines consistently
If anyone in this industry would do that I'd expect Kamiya to be the person who would. Just because the game didn't have a hardcore anime inspired vibe or a waifu character doesn't mean that it wasn't the game that Kamiya wanted to make when he literally stated the opposite multiple times. In fact I imagine it was probably refreshing to produce a game at that fidelity on next gen hardware. At least until development hell started to crop up.
God dammit Press Sneak Fuck. You delayed/killed off yet another game.
Oh for fuck sake. If Microsoft have some brains they won't do this, because outrage will be huge. Lionhead and some free2play garbage is one thing, but canceling Kamiya's dream game is brand suicide.
How did Bayonetta 2 bomb if it received another reprint? The first printing sold out. It took awhile, but it sold at almost full price.
I'm sure it will be better, but not to the extent that it will bridge the gap of jaguars to cloud servers.Yeah, you're right. Microsoft is going to make a generational leap in GPU power but not touch the CPU.
Come on, man.
Outside of people like you and me who follow this kind of stuff, no one will care. This game was never going to be a big seller.
I don't think they care that much.
Why did Microsoft announce these games? Fable Legends, Scalebound, Phantom Dust...There's clearly a problem here.
How often do publishers ever provide extensive details on a cancelled project?Jesus, give me a break. Okay, maybe "brand suicide" is a little exaggerated statement, but this is still bad PR. Games are expensive and Microsoft are about fast results. They want that big new franchise like Halo and Gears were and they aren't getting it. It's also not like Sony where they want to build a big and strong first party, otherwise they wouldn't have shut their studios or downsized them over the past decade or more.
Best wishes.
Exactly, and the official site also works https://www.scaleboundgame.com/Came here to say this; Xbox moved all their game storefront pages to Microsoft.com instead.
Scalebound still has a page, and this is it

Two of those aren't exclusive.
