It's 12 hours before the presentation starts and this thread already moves like a formula one car. The thirst is real it seems, let me join in on that :D

Judging from comments made by various insiders, Metroid is being developed by an outside studio, but it's not From or Platinum. I'm going to bet on NLG who were supppsed to be developing a WiiU game ages ago, if not them then my next guesses would be Vanillaware or Chair.

We discussed this yesterday and I'll say I'm fully on board for ChAIR. It'd be a great UE4 showcase.

I think some of you are misinterpreting SFII.

- It's not supposed to be a substitute for all the 3rd party games Sony and Microsoft have. This isn't Nintendo saying: "Look, Sony has SFV, we have SFII!"
- It's the series' anniversary. What do people associate with "old Street Fighter"? SFII.
- Where did people play SFII? On the SNES. With the current Retro trend, the advertisement for this game writes itself. Two friends playing SFII on SNES -> time jump -> two friends playing SFII on Switch.
- I'm not even sure this will be Switch exclusive.
- It's a novelty game. It's not supposed to be the next Street Fighter or anything more than a tribute to the series with the most popular game of that series with some additional content.

How some of you make this feel-good title seem like the death of Switch is beyond me.

In the U.S., no. Online pre-orders are separate from in-store. Gamestop only lets you do in-store pickup for products that are released and in-stock. If you want it in-store, you've gotta hoof it to your nearest location and put money down.

Primarily because you don't "purchase" the item online via that method. It just sends a message to the store to put one aside if they have it.

I'm hoping and praying that my store will have units first thing tomorrow. I have all my money for Switch tied up in Gamestop credit.
Well this sucks.
It supposed to start icing like a mother fucker around 9 am here.
Does gamestop take preorders over phone.
