Nintendo Switch |DT2| No excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness

Which of these definitely """real""" leaks are you most hyped for?

Like Team Ninja? Or the devs that did Federation Farce?

I never would have thought Team Ninja's style of games would have translated well to a Metroid game. As I said, there are specific reasons From would be an interesting choice.

As for Federation Force, they weren't even making a Metroid game. They just slapped the Metroid skin on it.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
The only leak that matters is the one that has "Smash Bros Disagreement" and "Never Forgetti Bayonetti"

I just think it's awesome that we haven't had any rock solid visual leaks of games since the initial reveal. We really don't know what is coming tonight or what it will look like, even if many of the games are fairly predictable.

Hell, just getting direct feed footage of BotW and Mario Kart on Switch will be awesome.

Some Gamestops don't do online preorders for consoles. They want a in store deposit as well.

The ones in my area don't allow online preorder.

I'm being a daredevil and gonna wait to buy it in person without a preorder. If it's 250
You're a mad man.
I'm going to do a preorder online and if I can't pick it up at the store I guess I'll just have to get it at noon instead of at midnight. I'll make due somehow.

I think one area Nintendo could push is smaller AA titles on Switch. I don't think all the portable devs can make the jump to HD. Game Development is getting so expensive with weaker hardware Nintendo could push cheaper smaller 2d titles and games without massive budgets. More 40 dollar games.

Don't do this to me

Injustice 2 pls pls pls

This would be a TP game that I would prefer buy on Switch than X1 or PC thanks to the portability.

I think some of you are misinterpreting SFII.

- It's not supposed to be a substitute for all the 3rd party games Sony and Microsoft have. This isn't Nintendo saying: "Look, Sony has SFV, we have SFII!"
- It's the series' anniversary. What do people associate with "old Street Fighter"? SFII.
- Where did people play SFII? On the SNES. With the current Retro trend, the advertisement for this game writes itself. Two friends playing SFII on SNES -> time jump -> two friends playing SFII on Switch.
- I'm not even sure this will be Switch exclusive.
- It's a novelty game. It's not supposed to be the next Street Fighter or anything more than a tribute to the series with the most popular game of that series with some additional content.

How some of you make this feel-good title seem like the death of Switch is beyond me.

You are forgetting the mist important

-It's a fake list

A little under 12 hours to go.

I honestly can't remember the last time I was this excited for a video game conference, announcement, or event.

Maybe the first GTA 5 trailer about 5 years ago. I was going pretty crazy on the launch nights of Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King too.

I have no doubt all the hype and excitement that I have right now will be justified by what Nintendo shows off tonight.

I love From, but this is GAF's dream company just like platinum, everything should be done by them according to people here. While i understand the connections between Souls interconnected worlds, metroid is still different. Fresh takes brought us prime, but also other m and federation force. I really hope they nail all aspects of this new metroid if it's true that nintendo is making one.

If you're doing cash, then yes, that makes perfect sense.

Are you saying you have to do pre-orders on a per-store basis? They don't let you just pre-order from Game Stop the retailer, and then ship your order to a local store if you want to do in-store pickup?
Here it's based on what the store has. Not the retailer. It could be different nowadays since I don't preorder consoles so I don't know how Xbox 1 and PS4 went.

My friend told he would hold a preorder for me but I said no. He's the one that told you had to be in store and he's the manager.

Who maybe it's different for some of us?

Eh, I don't know, no Retro means no Prime, so that would mean me being dissapointed most probably...

Unless Nintendo secretly formed a Secret Development team with ex-retro staff + ex-Rare staff + ex-Factor 5 staff to make the definitive Metriod Prime game!! Chuuuu Chuuuu!!

Just give me Prime Trilogy HD on Switch and I will withstand no next chapter at least...

Primarily because you don't "purchase" the item online via that method. It just sends a message to the store to put one aside if they have it.
This reminds me, when I pre-ordered the WWE 2K17 CE online to be picked up at my local store, the manager said he had to check if I pre-ordered "in time" before he'd go into the back and get it. I wasn't sure what he meant by that, since I figured they just filed orders as they came in, but what you said makes sense.

This is at an EB Games in Canada, by the way.

Do you know if they'll do a trade-in program right away, or does that usually happen after launch? If the latter, then I think I'm going to go with Best Buy and put my Reward Zone points towards a game after launch.
