I know some said that already, but for visual purposes...

BLOODBORNE GOT ROBBED

8/10 from Metro GameCentral.

In Short: State-of-the-art visuals help create one of gaming’s most entertaining open worlds, even if the gameplay doesn’t quite reach the same standards.

Pros: Superb graphics and art design, and a huge, impressively interactive, open world environment. Highly enjoyable combat and stealth, with an interesting array of weapons.

Cons: Repetition is an issue, and resource farming can be abused. The backstory is interesting but the storytelling is workmanlike.

Score: 8/10

It will be interesting to read through the USGamer review once I get/finish the game. I can already say I disagree with one part:

Sound: Over the course of my 30-something hours, I don't remember any of the sounds or score. Take that as you will.

I've had the main theme stuck in my head for a long time now.

Our review (in portuguese).

Zwame - 9.5/10

+ Aloy is a strong protagonist
+ Great story and pacing
+ Excellent visuals and overall design
+ Gameplay with depth
+ Good OST and voice acting

- Human IA is basic and inconsistent

And for the record, 96% complete and 58 hours of gameplay.

Our review at VGTime.com (Chinese)

"Guerrilla Game's first Action RPG attempt showed us a very different post apocalypse world, and is a satisfying result in the end."

Pros
Great graphics and performance
Magnificent creature design
The mystery of the earth is inspring
Sharp and addicting hunting gameplay
Impressive post apocalypse world

Cons
Long loading times and pop in issues
Item management can be tedious

Did you play it on a regular PS4 or on a PS4 Pro?

Find it interesting as most reviews say story is excellent, but a couple say the opposite. Would be nice to hear the reasoning for each side.
The story premise relies on uncovering the mystery, this kind of story can really pulled tou into the story early on. But the payoff may make or break the story for you.

I imagine some who don't like it is probably because they don't like the mystery reveal

wow, when's the last time Giant Bomb, Jim Sterling, IGN, and Kotaku all loved the same game?

really surprised at the 5/10 (I know it's 2.5/5) from USGamer though

30+ hours plus high scores is great. I can get over the cons said so far. They're common in open world games. The gameplay always supersedes it

This sort of stuff often depends on how people take to story telling methods, some of the major complaints/knocks I've read in here are on expository dumps. Some people are very harsh on storytelling that will depend on having someone exposition at you in order for it to be a whole story, generally that will mean the game is lacking in story delivery elsewhere and crams it in on wordswordswordswords in key locations.

Wow. Eating crew like a mofo right now. I kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to shit on anyone's parade, but I was sure this game would do poorly based on GGs track record.

I'm happy to be wrong, though. Great job GG.

Is it just me or everyone is praising the story?

That is amazing since I thought that would be the worst part of the game.

Day 1.
