Pineapple Pizza Mafia |OT| The War On Fruit Pizza

Are you sure? Maybe you should paraphrase it.

Dunno what you're fishing for, but okay. n1, checked Sky, got red text response stating my target was town-aligned. n2, checked you, Blarg, got red text response NOT town-aligned. NOT was underlined and in all caps. Also reported I was out of shots.

Re: Nomadic - you've been on Blarg's ass since the minute you joined. Where's Blarg? I wanna see Blarg. Weird, dude. And you didn't do much in anime before all that went down, but you didn't seem so totally removed from everything then. Y'know?

I don't think Nomadic has read the whole thread yet, like a certain somebody else...

Also, Blarg is completely deflecting with the last few comments.

Don't mind if Blarg is hammered or not, I don't think this will go any other way today

My apologies for the weekend, gonna notice this post and then go to sleep so no TURBO k

also, came home to find out my right shift and delete keys on my laptop don't work for some reason, true story

Yes, my last reads-meal still awaits me, Darryl

Meanwhile, why don't you all discuss the build-up to Today without me? That sounds like a good way to contribute in my meantime.

How are you getting Vigilante vibes from what he said?

As you know, hey_monkey, [Mafia] custom dictates that the accused die before the accuser. This is known.

I stopped existing the moment you dropped 'red-check', so there's no need to rub it in. Doesn't mean I'm not about to fight you and yours though. Patience?

You have diplomatic immunity from the others Today, enjoy it

I do my best

Are you sure? Maybe you should paraphrase it. You're a good player hey_ because you look at things very objectively and you say as much.

k good night all brb sleep

Yer not even gonna try to claim neutral? Nothin?

Okay, I've seen SkyOdin's claim and I'm doubtful. Isn't Lifeline also an innocent child role? I know Lifeline's role is an Innocent Child, and the child aspect of SkyOdin is in the role name(Child Who Only Orders...). My role name isn't half-assed liked that though. It's proper. Unless someone can point me out on some confirmed roles that uses nouns like child, etc.

So if hey_monkey is right and Blargonaut is indeed not town according to the results she received, I'm hedging that Blarg will prove to be neutral. Then hey_monkey, cop, along with Sky's crazy role, will deter most from voting for these two, and if they're scum, they're going to sail off into the sunset. Presumably with tasty pineapple pizza in tow.

As for Blargonaut, if the rogue thing is true, I expect at least 2 to 3 people to die soon, because the words doused and poisoned were mentioned by Blarg, I think. Hope it's not me.

Thoughts, anyone?

Usually if there is a arsonist/douser, the people who are doused/poisoned are notified about it. Pretty sure nobody has said about being doused or poisoned so far.

I guess there could be a modified version where the targets aren't notified, though.

Hmm. It would be pretty gutsy of Blarg to breadcrumb if he's rogue. Maybe that's what prompted hey_monkey to investigate him in the first place?

Also, where I played, we also had bombers who planted bombs but the players weren't notified.

Since this is advertised as role madness, we can't count out the possibility of targets not being notified. But I'll look at that possibility as less likely, for now.

If Blarg is indeed some sort of rogue, at least lynching him in D3 would be less dangerous than later, with him having even more people targeted.

Yeah, you've got a point.

As for people bussing in this game, one reason I see this happening is a person can't commit to the game so they're trying to use that to their advantage to get their teammates some townie points.

I have a moment away from helping with house construction today and instead of hopping on the joystick I'm gonna tell you guys what I realized and why hey_monkey's claim was bugging me.

Simply put, lynching Blargonaut first is a mistake.

There are two possibilities: hey_monkey isn't lying, or hey_monkey is lying.

Let's take the first possibility: hey_monkey is being straight-up with us. We lynch Blarg, and he turns out to be scum. Yay, we did the right thing. Go team.

Now consider the second possibility: hey_monkey is lying.

We lynch Blarg, and he turns out to be town and has some special ability that is very helpful. Maybe it's scouting, maybe it's being protected from being NK'd, could be a lot of things considering this game type. Anyway, that's a big loss for team. Then do we lynch hey_monkey? CAN we? Is it possible he has some sort of role protection from this? Or maybe scum has a lynch blocker or something? And then what about SkyOdin in this circumstance?

The only rational path forward for town is to lynch hey_monkey first. This gives us more information than doing it the other way around. If hey_monkey was telling the truth, then we can turbo Blarg the next day, no sweat. But if he was lying, we may have just avoided a huge blunder, and considering how many people are voting Blarg right now I feel pretty confident that at least one of them is scum at this point.

Meanwhile, hey_monkey has already admitted (if telling the truth) that he has used up his two shots and has nothing left, meaning he's essentially a relatively useless vanilla town member at this point. If he really cared about town he would throw himself on the sword in order to give town as much verifiable information as possible.

Your sacrifice won't be in vain, hey_monkey. Town will prevail.

VOTE: hey_monkey

I actually also thought of that but hey_monkey is probably one of the most active players in this game. So, even without powers, if she's town, it'll be quite a loss.

Care to explain?

Or do you need to talk it over with Palmer first

Cop claims never make sense to try to clear by lynching the cop first, instead of the red check. You could make a case about it if the game was in LYLO, so that there was a real case of scum trying to solidify their victory with a fake claim.

But in this case, what is the reason for Monkey to lie about Blarg? If we lynch blarg and he flips town, then we know Monkey was lying. So why would a scum lie at this point of the game for the sake of just getting Blarg out of the game, and then get caught?

You could make a case that Blarg is neutral, and a scum Monkey is trying to get a neutral Blarg out of the game. But even that case lynching the red check makes more sense than lynching the cop claim.

Need I remind you that we have basically confirmation that a town cop most likely exists in this game, making hey_monkey lying be less likely?

You are suggesting that lynching a most likely confirmed town (since miller flips confirms a town cop most likely exists) makes more sense than lynching their red check.

I can see the argument, if monkey was being counter-claimed.

What I'm suggesting is that we avoid a worst case scenario. We are in a lot more potential trouble if hey_monkey is lying and blarg is useful than the other way around. We'd be on the back foot.

Personally I think Blarg is more likely to be scum.

But thinking logically and following game theory, we should take the path that exposes us to the least risk.

I mean, sure, lynch me. I'm now powerless and Sky's claim maybe makes mine look more suspect. I dunno from other POVs. I only have mine. And I granted at first claim that I'm sure I would look suspect considering what went down d2.

That said, it seems awfully strange at this point to move to protect Blarg, who has put up no defense, not even a role name, over me. How does that scan for you, timetokill, especially when you're coming on the heels of someone lots of people were looking to lynch?

If Blarg had put up some defense, I'd understand this more.

Also if we have a cop I'd rather they not claim at this point anyway, that would be giving scum too much info. Hell, that could be part of a scum hey_monkey's play, to try and draw out a town cop.

It just sounds like you want town to lynch a confirmed town during day phase so scum doesn't need to waste a night phase night killing her.

Let's not also forget we have evidence of possible scum Blarg on two occasions, at least, too. Insider info on LL and pairing himself with Swamped on his read lists.
