I'm totally down. Since I'm not a Pc gamer, Scorpio still seems like a good value prop for me
This is a marketing stunt.
If its a stunt, will you ban links from his twitter?Better not be a stunt.
But you created the blow beforehand now. The expectations have never been a cheap console.
It is comparable components a year between launch, remove the extra ram and the uhd and I bet build costs are close to that of pro a year ago, that's why people bring it up.This was my expectation since the thing was announced, but I'd still like to see a 399.99 tag on it. This also isn't typical of Geoff.
Not sure why Pro is being brought up in regards to the Scorpio pricing. Different components, company, and releases. It having come out a year ago has nothing to do with what this device may have to cost.
His reputation is above leaker status. This doesn't make sense unless it is a stunt. Like the Joachim bullshit.
Considering this is Geoff it has to be a 100% controlled leak. He doesn't go out and leak things early it's literally against what he's pretty much built his entire reputation around.
Meaning this comes directly from MS. Question is why?
I remember he leaking stuffs in the past... reliable stuffs.Considering this is Geoff it has to be a 100% controlled leak. He doesn't go out and leak things early it's literally against what he's pretty much built his entire reputation around.

Maybe they gave him permission to get the bad news out of the way because they have good content for the conference and don't want it to get ignored/overshadowed. Only thing that makes sense to me. Geoff wouldn't put out false info on something concrete like price but he also wouldn't do it if he thought it would really hurt a major industry relationship of his.
That plus no need to pay for XBL = Free online is a no brainerWill put that money into a gaming PC fund then.
$499 for a Jaguar CPU console, I don't believe ms are that stupid again.
"Unless something changes today"
Of course it will, lol. Ya'll being played like a fiddle.
And Geoff knows this how?
But Matt explained why.If that's true doesn't matter what happens on the conference today, the narrative will be negative.
Better not be a stunt.
$499 limits sales to launch and preorder build up and that's it. Once the calendar hits 2018 Scorpio is dead at $499.
Or they just let the sheep graze first. They don't. Sony doesn't either. The XBox One S and PS4 are always going to be the biggest money makers. Forever.
Well, we know what shirt Shawn Layden will be wearing at the Sony conference...
$499.99 is the Launch edition with a 2tb HDD
$399.99 is the regular edition with a 1TB HDD
Just like the Xbox One S Launch Edition which was $399.99 with a 2TB while the regular 1TB edition was $299.99.
Only 5 hours to go so won't bother going through the million reasons why this does/doesn't make sense but why has Geoff tweeted this?
I mean he sure knows a good number of unannounced games+other stuff so why not share what they are today?
There is zero reason for Geoff to damage his credibility with this. The MS "paycheck" to be a part of a marketing stunt would never be worth it.
Folks (like me) are convinced it's $399. And for the sake of Xbox and its fans I hope that's true. Geoff is saying with confidence it will be $499. Who's to say we're not both right?
$399 core - no controller or other bells & whistles (maybe a smaller HD too)
$499 standard with controller, better HD
$599 deluxe - some sort of fancy finish, or another controller, games, autographed picture of Phil etc.
Pachter seems to agree with me.
This thing is DEAD in Canada.
I think it has to happenIf its a stunt, will you ban links from his twitter?
lol
