Could someone photoshop Jade and the new Monkey guy, please?

They already told us that it wouldn't be a sequel before, but damn, I still wish it was. I'm glad we're still getting a game in the series. More likely we'll get that sequel eventually, if this game is successful.

The green eyed lady has to be Jade's mother.

BG&E2 is one game that i'm glad isn't going to be similar to it's original. They don't really need to do another Zelda-like game.
I really just want to explore that world, so being able to do so with a darker coat of paint is awesome.

That had zero that would connect it to the original BG&E, but nostalgia has played a large role in the enjoyment of the original one anyway. Forced swearing was actually a turnoff for me, but I will keep my eye on this and await gameplay instead of a cgi trailer that looked more like a new IP instead of a prequel of an existing franchise.

I wonder if "Dakini" (the woman with the green eyes at the end of the trailer) is Jade's mother. I just hope this is a prequel that leades into the first game and not just an event in the past that has no tie in to jade.

Also I like the design for the girl with the afro, hopefully she's the charcater you control :D

I'm interpreting "online playground" as space/ cities being online hubs but the normal missions that take place in isolated maps being single player or co-op only.

Yeah hopefully it's at least a "real prequel" with someone truly related to Jade.

Timed exclusive seems kind of stupid for this game if it's actually coming to other platforms, especially if it's not coming until 2019. Sony and MS might already be advertising their next-gen systems lol.

Yeah no, I am feeling really suspicious about this. It feel like they want a huge online connected world, where players create their own characters to play with each other and to coop and whatnot. I feel like they are gonna expand on the universe and lore, but not so much have a focused plot and story. This screams vaporware.

Yaaay, online persistent world. Just what we wanted, though I suppose that's par for the course these days, else they would have canned this by now.

And come on? We're still doing these CG trailers and nothing else? Weak.

Whaaaaat?

Mario + rabbids is real
Bge2 cgi at e3 is real
Split dpad switch was real

She's been right about damn near everything she's leaked, literally the only thing she was off on was final retail price of switch.

BGE2 isn't on Switch, nor a retelling of the first game. The game existing doesn't make her right.

y'all going crazy about language when it's just a CG trailer. Chill the fuck out and be happy the art direction is so perfect.

I don't take LKD seriously, but Ubisoft is known to be one of the leakier ships where the Europe-based Nintendo rumour mill has a few established contacts, and Switch exclusivity is a plausible explanation for why Ubisoft is uncharacteristically mum about platforms so far, if that's a bomb that's set to drop tomorrow.

I'd just be happy to see this on the Switch at all. I've been waiting for BG&E2 all this time specifically from playing the original on GameCube, Ancel has always had a good relationship with Nintendo, and out of all the Ubisoft multiplatform IPs, this is by far the one with the greatest chance of succeeding on a Nintendo platform for all kinds of reasons, from its design philosophy to its history of release.

Oh come on?!

Getting heavy whiffs of Shenmue 3 now

No way. Every sign (apart from the lack of gameplay in the cinematic trailer) has indicated that BG&E2 is quite far along—Ancel's been far more vocal about its active development in the past year or two than ever before, especially if you follow the faint trail of the game in the French newspapers, and it's been heavily suggested that supporting this project is how Guillemot kept him on board at Ubisoft at all.

All this time and they still have no gameplay to show?

The trailer was great though, so...cautiously optimistic, I guess.

Man, the more I think about this, the more sad I am. This isn't remotely the BG&E sequel I was hoping for. :-(

Not at all.

Same. Online persistent environment and no Jade? Also, what's going on with the swearing at these conferences. It's embarrassing and unprofessional.

Now Valve's turn to announce an online persistent Half-Life 3 where Alyx is missing.

No wait. More likely to be a VR card game.

I've never played the original, but I loved this trailer.

Loved the edgy and fluid feel that was full of interesting characters in a cool world. Oh and lots of swearing ^^

I thought the first game was about photography though?

I really just want to explore that world, so being able to do so with a darker coat of paint is awesome.

I think that would be absolutely fine, just with Jade (and Pey'j) bringing the familiar element of experiencing this brand new world.

Uh I never called her a liar, you're kinda putting words in my mouth. I'm just stating that way more often than not she's incorrect about her information.

Like? You keep saying words with no evidence of her being "more often then not incorrect" when everyone else is pointing out waves of information she was right about.

So incredibly bummed about everything we know so far. I knew a sequel (well, sort of) was going to disappoint after this long but I didn't expect feeling THIS disappointed. Online world? Grittier, more vulgar, those boob physics? Guh, just absolutely none of the charm of the first game.

I guess this is what it feels like when doves cry.

Loved the trailer, the best I've seen during the show this year, but a prequel without Jade and an online focus is a big concern right now. It was probably naive to think Ubi would let Ancel do a tight, single player focused game on a presumably big budget.

Amazing CG.

The swearing was a bit try hard and kind of a turn off.

As cool as that trailer was, I'm not really excited until we finally get game play footage and a release date. This game is taking foreverrrr and I hardly care anymore.
