GameStop has a 70% trade in deal right now..

I did all my transactions on a separated trade credit card, not with my pro rewards card. Is there any way to get the awards points on my account now?

Am I doing this wrong? Go buy a few copies of say the top 3 switch games from Best Buy for GCU discount, then flip them at GameStop?

One option if you have the cash to spend. I didn't, so I did everything in store, using a few games I had laying around to get me started. Got lucky and had a few titles that are fetching high values right now, like Amazing Spidey 2.

The B2G1 is utterly ridiculous. I literally made $20 and 3 $60 PS4 games out of it. Insane.

Might try again tomorrow. If I had a car and more time this would have been my entire weekend, but overall my haul of $470 and 3 games is already incredible. Do you think they'll send a memo out tomorrow morning to shut it down?

Today turned out to be a lucrative day for not only myself, but two of my boys. I made it to the $2000 cap and during that time I financed their start up.

After 6 hours one of them is up $1000 and the other stopped at $578. $578 got a ps pro, a year of plus, and some b2g1 games.

Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I don't recommend that. You'd basically gain like 10-15 dollars total and that's assuming you had at least 6 games to get the max trade in deal, else you'd probably lose.

And even so, you're trading cash for GameStop credit and it sounds like you have GCU, is GameStop credit worth more than a nearly equal amount of cash?

But they scanned your card when they did the trades and purchases right? It shouldnt matter where the credit goes. As long as your account is connected to the transaction

Is it bad to buy the same games from different stores/trade the same games to different stores? Are they checking your record? Like "hmmm I see 2x Pokémon moon trades from earlier"?

An employee can check your recent transactions but it involves clicking through several windows. Sometimes they update right away while other times they will update the day after.

Pray for me, i just sat in the car and opened my second haul from best buy. Only to realize the Gamestop had just closed 10 minutes ago. Fml.

If these prices drop by tmrw i might take a loss, fuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkk

Everywhere i went was cleaned the hell out today anyways I ended up with
Spiderman X/P, Shadow of Mordor X/P, Puyo Switch, Just Dance Wii, Lego Marvel 360

But now they are all just sitting unwrapped in my passenger seat, fuck.

Opted for the Xbox. Model is a 2 TB Xbox One S with Halo 5, Titanfall 2, ESO, and Sunset Overdrive. Got $433 in credit and spent an additional $50 for Xbox Live.

I sold 19 3DS games, holy shit.

Someone explain this to me like I’m 5

I had no idea if I was going to pull it off either this afternoon, lmao.

1. Trade in your old games. Try to get like $250 in credit from this. Use the trade in credit to immediately buy a Pro rewards membership in the same transaction. If you trade 6 or more games in, you get 70% extra credit total.

2. Use that credit to buy at least six used games (search this thread for the post with pictures of the best ones to buy aka the most expensive, or just look on GameStop's website). Remember to have them scan your pro rewards card.

3. Go to second store and trade those in / buy 6+ more, remembering pro rewards card.

4. Repeat steps 1-3

Wow fam.

That was so easy, it was ridiculous.

Hit up Target for a couple PvZ and Wii Just Dances to sweeten the pot.. got some Switch games from Best Buy then hit 3 Gamestops in a row with used games.

Think I'm sitting on about $950 in credit, $200 in Xbox cash and 3 3DS games I still need to flip. Wife made me come home to clean!

If this lasts till tomorrow I don't know if I'll be able to stop doing it at lunch!

Going to add up all the receipts and see what the total profit was after the start up games.

If trade values drop, will it still be worth doing the whole thing, or will you just be getting net negative? Like, do pre-owned game prices drop along with the trade in values?

Also guys, I heard from a clerk that this deal is actually getting extended by another week. So it may be worth your time to still take advantage of this.

So, still got 900 or so in credit, 21 PS4 games (a lot of them recently released), a pro controller, Disgaea 5, and some Pokémon TCG cards... totally worth it

I can't believe gamestop allowed this I've gone to different ones and it seems no one else is really doing this trade in flipping

Note:

The risk of a trade ban is why you ALWAYS get trade in credit put on a gift card.

Never put it on the power up card.
Thanks, wish I checked this out earlier, I can still make purchases with the card mind you and use the credit in it. Again thanks for the answer unlike the smart ass some posts above. So I'm guessing I can't just get around with a new account.
Employees here generally put the credit on the card, never got asked if I wanted it on a gift card.

Would a ban also freeze your credit, or JUST stop you from adding to it with trades? Don't really care if its the latter, I rarely buy physical much less trade games in these days anyway.

Use your trade credit to buy a gift card then buy whatever you want

I have my trade in credit on a gamestop gift card. Their system won't allow you to buy Amazon credit with a gamestop gift card.

Or are you saying there's a difference between gamestop trade in gift card and a standard gamestop gift card?

Don't they already directly put it on the trade credit card? First time I have been back to Gamestop in a long time and they didn't ask for my wifes' powerup card to put the credit on there.

Came out with $420 today. Not bad. If it's still going on tomorrow, I'm definitely going to flip some more games.

How long has it been? Mine always takes a day or two to show up on the app.

Did all my shit today, so that might be it.

Since this is still going tomorrow, could my girl theoretically take my phone number and use my membership to try and flip some more titles tomorrow? Just wondering if she could do this while I'm at work, we figured we'll take advantage as long as it's running, and she's not working lol

Only turned $288 of cash/credit into $446 today due to being in a hurry and only hearing about this like 3 hours ago lol. If it's still around tomorrow though and the trade values don't plummet then I'm planning on seeing how much I can get with that 446 across the ~7 or so local stores.

Also.. just a heads up. Toys R Us has $10 off $29 and $39 3DS games.

I had some credit there that I wanted to move, so I snagged some games and made money doing it.
