gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Hi guys. Currently sitting at my desk at work trying to figure out which day to take off for The Fractured But Whole. Its out 17/10, just not sure if it will unlock at midnight GMT (I'm in the UK), midnight in the US. I know some games even unlock as last as 9am PST, making it evening time in the UK, if that's the case I'd take the 18th off rather than the 17th.

Can anyone recall what the deal has been with previous Ubisoft titles on Steam in terms of unlock times?

Ubi's not very consistent in that area and the specific unlock time is no longer tucked away in the source code of the store page (not that there is one just yet). If you need to book the day off sooner rather than later, then just play it safe and use the retail release date.

Thanks.

What game?

Thanks. This game is the latest game by Jonas Kyratzes, who is the creator of The Sea Will Claim Everything. There are 52 achievements, and the game costs 2.39 €. I don't know whether the game is really a classic platformer or if there is a political message hidden behind.

Princess Omega has lost the five magical keys that open her castle - only you can help her! Explore the Flower Kingdom, from the icy island of Eisland to the hot desert of Sandkuchen Island, meet colourful creatures... and jump on their heads. Collect coins, purchase upgrades, and discover secret treasures on your heroic quest! After all, helping princesses is what heroes do. What could possibly go wrong?

Also, I don't think it is any relevant, but the creator is a vocal Greek communist. And the game is released on the 189th birthday of... "the leader of the revolutionary democratic movement of the 1860s".

I hope The Council of Crows will be released this year.

Speaking of Jonas Kyratzes, I was kind of hoping that he would put the other Lands of Dream games on Steam after he finally got around to releasing The Sea Will Claim Everything. Maybe he feels it's not worth the effort since they're mostly freeware and/or made in Flash which nobody wants to deal with anymore.

So I installed the Fallout 4 high-res texture pack about 5 weeks ago and picked up on my old launch save that I hadn't touched in, oh I don't know...over a year?

I've since put over 100 hours into the game, scarcely touching anything else since.

Hot damn, Fallout 4 has a satisfying Explore, Shoot, Loot-gameplay loop. It just NEVER gets old for me.

Guess I'm just a closet hoarder at heart. :p

Which is strange, 'cause my house is pretty Felix Unger clean as a baseline.

I loved Fallout 4, I have over 100 hours at launch but havent touched it since. I would just roam around the wasteland discovering new places. Yes the story is crap and the RPG elements are streamlined but it is still a lot of fun walking around and seeing all the cool landmarks. I should really go back and play the DLCs I got for free.

Deep-diving back into F4 inspired me to pick up the Season Pass when I saw it online for -50%.

For Story content, I've only just finished Automatron. I really enjoyed it.

Might take on Nuka-World next, but I'm 100% saving Far Harbor for last, as I understand it's the absolute best content in the game.

Still haven't finished the main quest plus some other major ones in the base game, Last Voyage of the U.S.S. Constitution for example, so I'm going to knock all that out before taking on Far Harbor.

I know Fallout 4 is punching-bag fave on 'Gaf, but damn if I don't think it's crazy-fun, warts and all.

Same here, I have 169 hours in Fallout 4, before DLC. Dropped it in 2015, didn't even finished main story quest. It's a great game and i had fun exploring world, but at some point my interest gone and i switched to other games. Maybe i'll go back someday, but not in near future unfortunately, too many great games released recently or will be released this fall and i need to play them first.

GMG keeps bombarding me with vouchers. "What are you waiting for?" they ask.

I'd still buy from them if their euro prices were decent/competitive but they so rarely are these days. Or if their site wasn't filled with games that are unavailable for purchase and many links leading to empty pages, even links on their front page.

If you don't sell console games to anywhere but one specific country, try hiding that content from the rest of the customer base. The same issue with so many PC games that you they selling but are not available for purchase in.. well, most of Europe?

I tried Fallout 4, but it the start was awfully slow. Really hated that part and never played again. Maybe i just was playing it wrong idk

Buying a Galaxy S8 either today or tomorrow.

That will be the 3rd Galaxy phone I own. I first owned an iPhone 3GS (before I owned my first Samsung), but the iOS system bores me and lacks the personification/customization I need. Plus, the 7 doesn't have an headphone lacks, so fuck that.

So in just 1 week, I bought a new PC for work (Surface Pro 4) and a new phone. Have never upgraded so much of my stuff, for so much money in that short span of my time, if I exclude upgrading my PC.

Don't know about the rest but The Flame in the Flood and Aarklash: Legacy are excellent games.

Aarklash is Awesome.

I moved recently and have no internet atm so I'm downloading The End Is Night by tethering a connection with my phone (which is currently throttled to 1 Mbit/s).

Only takes about an hour! (or more if I'm browsing Gaf at the same time).

Had some Carolina reaper chicken last night and a bunch of other wings with my coworkers and now I'm feeling it. I need something simple to distract from all the pain. I doubt I can play Dishonored lol.

You need to set your content and devices address to a UK one. Google's London office will do:

Thanks Jase, I'm actually in the UK and it was the US site that wouldn't show the price. It used to be on amazon.com that you'd just switch to a US address at checkout and you'd be able to buy with your normal card anyway but won't even let you add to the cart. I'm not too concerned as I wasn't that fussed but just surprised it noted my location and even blocked you from adding to cart, or at least for me.
