Wasnt there a Tennis game where you could date tennis players? Did I dream that? I bet this is a second attempt where you have to buy flowers in microtransactions in order to get Sharapovas attention: "Ms. Sharapova require 300 red roses in order to go out with you"

Sounds promising based on interview. It all lies in execution but I really like the idea of breaking linearity. Most tennis games have very formulaic match patterns and it's hard to adopt play styles the game doesn't encourage.

If not, this should be a spin off game like the Dead or Alive Xtreme series.

First day of gamescom is almost over and they haven't shown anything of Tennis World Tour so far I believe. Their twitter accounts haven't even mentioned it.

I'm hoping this is supposed to be a joke leading up to an announcement.

Virtua Tennis 4 is great on Vita. 3 is a mess. 2 is ace.

Virtua Tennis series is fun but hardly a representative of the real sport. Top Spin has tried over the years to add more realistic elements. This is why I have high hopes for this title.

VT4 on Vita is dreadful, the ball physics on every shot make no sense. Volleys, slices and angle shots are all useless.

Gamescom ends tomorrow. US Open starts on Monday.

I feel like tomorrow has to be the day.

Well like I said, no VT has realistic ball physics, but VT4 actually has surface differentiation. All of the shots you claim to be useless I use regularly to great effect against the hardest CPUs and Online players.

Now Big Ben Interactive is telling people on Twitter to follow Big Ben Games for news on Tennis World Tour.

Two days ago Big Ben Games reassured Tennis World Tour wasn't cancelled after people on Twitter wouldn't stop asking them about it.

Meanwhile, today's the last day of gamescom. If they won't release any kind of information within the next 6.5h, they missed their announced announcement time back when they announced the game even before E3.


How can you screw this up so badly?

Well, it's official. Gamescom is over and they shared nothing about this game. Absolutely nothing. What a joke.

Sucks that they didn't follow through on their word. It would be an easy win for them even if they only provided a minimal amount of information. They couldn't even do that.

With Big Ben as the publisher, seems like we should set our expectations extremely low.

Sounds like a missed opportunity, but then I wouldn't want them showing a dud. My confidence in the product has dropped a little but hope they can still pull it off.

They announced this game with absolutely nothing even before E3 took place. No screenshot, no gameplay, nothing. They said they'd share information during gamescom. But Tennis World Tour was nowhere to be seen. People asked them about it on twitter all day long. The Big Ben Interactive account's response was to follow Big Ben Games for updates, which should be coming "(very) soon". Meanwhile the Big Ben Games account didn't even acknowledge the game at all. Their Rugby game account (yes, their Rugby game account) was the first to say anything about the game at all. Then the Big Ben Interactive account started telling people to follow Big Ben Games for updates. There were no updates.

They never said anything about missing their promised gamescom window. They should absolutely know better. It's the first Tennis game of this generation after all.

Maybe they didn't consider Gamescom a prestigious enough event to announce their game? E3 2018 could be a good place to showcase it in the USA. They could have it playable on the E3 floor and release it in November 2018 worldwide
