Really liking it so far, will probably buy after the demo, racing feels good and not as punishing as Dirt Rally (which was too hardcore for me).
I enjoyed GT5 very much, so this should last me a few dozen hours too.

Some neat new additions from the beta. You get a constant delta time to your best lap in time trial (a game changer by itself) and I love the cone marker assist.

Been seeing some great liveries already.

So it seems you can choose from a set of cars when playing the Sport mode. I thought you could only race in cars you own. What's the meaning of unlocking and owning the cars then?

No idea. It's a T300rs and it's doing the violent calibration rotation thing when plugged in. Tried a temp fix but the FFB feels broken. Never buying a Thrustmaster product ever again. My G25 lasted for years.

You can turn rubberbanding off in the options. It's on by default.

I'm impressed by how clean the game looks. Very few jaggies. Graphics are indeed great and the game sounds much better than previous GT titles.

On the other hand, collisions still suck.

I just tried chase cam and my go it's terrible. How can anyone drive using this view? You have no sense of what's going on with the car.

They should lock that view out, it's for everybody's own good.

Yeah I’m using close chase cam and it’s much better. Let’s me know exactly what’s happening at all 4 corners of the car.
Took first place in my second race (n300) easily.

Would like to know too. The previous beta had me resetting the steering angle at the start of every event.

Hope the clutch is better than in GT6, that was unforgiving with a H shifter

Totally forgot GT includes dirt / rally tracks. I’ve always enjoyed the rally physics in GT and probably played the dirt tracks on PS3 more than any other.

And there’s something about the lighting model in GT that always pushes it ahead of Forza. The earlier Forza’s were far behind when compared to GT, and while Forza 7 is beautiful, it’s like Turn10 chooses to go for a more dramatic and stylized look for their lighting. It looks great in Forza 7, but after playing the GT Sport demo, I still prefer the GT approach.

Make sure TV is not overscanning, fix PS4 Display Area in Video settings, then you should be good to go.

The chase cam is pretty much unusable. Might be the worst I've seen in a racing game. And i don't understand what happened since the previous beta, because it was not this bad.

This is why I played GT5 and 6 to death: Clowns like this are nullified by the ghosting feature and you get awesome close wheel to wheel racing. This is also why I fucked off from Forza.

Car Model wise this is the best yet, so it for HDR use. Loads of use of 2D assets in the backgrounds though, like something from the PS2 days.
