Oh god! What if... Monolith Tokyo is doing the DQX Wii U version? Nintendo exclusive, will be shown at TGS.

Boy, that would suck...

Man, we've heard basically nothing about TGS this year.

This time last year we were all going crazy with list leaks and betrayals and all sorts of shit.

It's going to be PXZ then, it's coming from Namco a company that DOES show its titles during TGS, it's improbable that Nintendo shows anything first party there.

Still need to play Xenoblade (I'm cheap and it's expensive!), but Baten Kaitos (especially Origins) were faaaaaantastic games and I can't wait to see what they do next.

Monolithsoft revealed Baten Kaitos II at TGS back in the Gamecube-era. And Nintendo was the publisher of that.

Didn't Namco still own them though?

I don't know what Nintendo's rules are, but one would think they would would want to debut meaningful titles on their own terms.

I hope they don't show a new game, since this would mean nothing but another project for Namco... And I generally dislike their Namco projects.

Except Baten Kaitos 3. Give me Baten Kaitos 3, damn it! Or if that's too much, I'd also accept a Baten Kaitos 1 remake with BK0's combat system.

Will they finally reveal the game where Shion and the others arrive to Lost Jerusalem and find Kos-Mos and that is the planet where Fei and Elly, after the events of Xenogears, discovers the last secret of the Zohar, which opens and reveal an ibernated Shulk with his Monado?

oh, which is also
the same planet of Soma Bringer, beyond the wall

It's gotta be more Project X Zone stuff. Monolith Soft use their Heropon plushie in loads of different pictures that they post on their website. Doubt we'll be seeing their new IP here...

Though I would love to be surprised.

Agreed. I think TGS might be fun for future Wii U owners, but I certainly wouldn't expect to see Takahashi's Wii U project this week. Or this year.

Yup. Now, we might see the Kyoto studio's game announced soon, but unless it's a third-party IP, not happening at TGS.

Not sure about the "fun for future Wii U owners" bit, though. I don't expect anything that wasn't shown last week, other than DQX details.

What if they announce that their big 3DS project is a sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans? :p

Probably a false alarm, they just blog whatever the staff go to for fun. Recent BIG BLOG NEWS: Tokyo's Gion festival, and last year's TGS report where they spent at much time macking on Capcom booth babes as picking up an award for Xenogears (and absolutely none talking about new games).

The Wii remote was first unveiled at TGS

So, here's the thing: Nintendo never "do" TGS properly (have a booth presence, basically), but they often pretty much hijack the show with an Iwata keynote. It's pretty funny if you think about it. Anyway, Wii Remote was part of an Iwata TGS keynote back in '05.
