Cool I'm hoping it will at least work upstairs for me. I live in a two story townhouse and the master bedroom is right up the stairs next to my living room. Still a bit hard to justify when there aren't many exclusives yet but I'll get it when our new baby is a little older for sure...that's just me trying to fight the hype lol. I'm half tempted to trade my Vita now that Black Ops is a confirmed turd and 2 seems to run awesome on Wii U.
Not that I need the money it just seems that trading or ebaying is the only way to sell the wife on new electronics these days.

Well I'm proud of myself for not caving and buying Mario. I want to go digital as much as I can with this one. It's gonna be a long wait, I'm only a out 40 percent through the update then Mario is like 1.2 iirc.

I love the tech aspects of this controller though.

Yeah so im gonna be trading in my 3DS XL for some Wii U games. Can get £110 cash for it, which is pretty good as it only cost me £160.

Cant even bear to play it anymore now that some ant or something has got stuck inside the middle of the top screen and another further down. Gahhh. Doesnt affect trade in value though!

Yes.

You have to create a new Network ID or link your old one. Don't get Club Nintendo and the Nintendo Network confused. I did and that's why it wasn't linking me. Duh.

Once you create your network id and get your system up and running, you can link your system to your club nintendo account via the gamepad.

Downloading the update now, love the background music. Only got BLops for now but plan to gt NSMBU and some games of eshop once I get my harddrive.

This controller and the system in general feel and work really great. Im fully expecting some glitches at first. No new console is immune to launch day blues.
Just remember gamers, the more shit you pack into a console, the more can go wrong.

Got it! Doing the long update now, but it doesn't seem as atrocious as I heard (probably been going for about 15 mins or so and seems to be a third of the way done). Still annoying, but what can you do?

Anyway, I thought I was set on my game pickups as Best Buy said they would price-match the Toys-R-Us deal... but then they didn't have Sonic Racing. So I went to Toys-R-Us... they also didn't have Sonic. Guess the game got undershipped or something? Anyway, saw that the TRU deal applied to both WiiU and Wii games, so I decided to just grab Return to Dreamland along with NSMBU for the 40% off while I was there. Guess I'll try to grab Sonic elsewhere at some point over the week.

GD! The TV functions and being able to play games in our loft/future nursery while the Wii U sits in my office is almost surreal. This thing is a dream for when you want to spend time with your family but still want to play games. Very impressed with it.

I can't believe you can't see pixelation and such. I usually am not bothered by this and I see it in UI elements in Mario, around his hat, and around his character model when he picks up speed. It's disappointing for me.

Agreed that there is no issue with video compression.

Maybe it's because I'm used to Retina and the Vita, but the gamepad's screen is not good. Especially for web browsing it's bad unless I zoom in a lot.

Hooking up my Wii U right now.

My Wii U Gamepad (not pro controller, I get that tomorrow) makes a rattling sound as if there's loose pieces inside. It's not the stylus (took it out), and it's not the buttons (tried holding them down while shaking it)

Not sure if I should try to get an exchange or not yet :/
