i stand by what i said, and i honestly believe it. the realtionships, characters, dialogue, and narrative in the game are outstanding.

The site was update showing the date 2/20 ( PS4 reveal ), but on that day nothing was shown and the site got back to normal later (like the MGS radar after an alert lol). Maybe they were going to show the game running on PS4 but they changed their minds and judged that having viral videos and teasers will increase the hype qbout it and GDc is best place to show the full engine in its own conference without time constraints.

But while 4 had its moments, I personally feel that MGS1 had by far the best narrative of the series. 2 had the ultra post-modernism thing going for it, but it wasn't as good.

Also, the dialogue in 4 was incredibly waffley, even by Kojima's standards. Not enough good editing.

I won't say empirically that it's CG, but I've seen enough convincing performance capture to believe that anything's possible. Even in real time. ESPECIALLY when most of the face is covered.

of course he's CG. How many news stories do you need to see, nonKojima related, of university students using school computers to create ultra-lifelike digital actors? I've seen 4 stories in two weeks. The tech is here.

I felt 3 had the best balance of gameplay and story. Coming off 3 just made it even more obvious how short MGS4 was (in the gameplay department).

As an aside, I wonder what crow is actually like, properly prepared. I'll bet it's pretty tough and could wind up being gamey with what crows wind up eating but I don't think it would be too difficult to stomach.


Either way, all the best presentations are tomorrow, including Kojima's. I am hype as fuck.
