Mamoru Miyano, Yōko Hikasa, Takahiro Sakurai Voice Kawamori's Nobunaga The Fool

Anime creator Shoji Kawamori (Macross, Escaflowne, Aquarion) and the rest of the production team behind The Fool "multi-dimensional" project announced the voice cast and more details about the project's first work, the stage play Nobunaga the Fool. The project will host three stage productions between this December and next summer.

The play will combine original animation produced by the anime studio Satelight with live stage performances produced by Avex Live Creative. The project will have both onstage actors and a voice cast to embody characters.

Mamoru Miyano will voice Oda Nobunaga, a character loosely inspired by the real-life Japanese warlord of the same name. Oda is the legitimate heir of the country of Owari on the Eastern Planet.

Yōko Hikasa will voice Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc, a girl raised in the country of Donremi on the Western Planet.

Takahiro Sakurai will play Akechi Mitsuhide, a captain who handles strategy for the Oda clan.

The staff describes the story:

The Western Planet and the Eastern Planet.

Once upon a time, the two sides were bound by the "Dragon Pulse" spanning the heavens.

The civilization that once had prospered has now turned to a tale of dreams, as the inextinguishable flames of war tear the realm asunder. The two planets remain engulfed in endless battles.

that Juri is yuri for the girl in question and wasn't mad about her taking the guy from her but rather him taking the girl from her and the difficult position Juri is in, being unable to confess her love.

Slowly? There's nothing slow about it. They bludgeon you with it in her first episode and every time an episode focuses on Juri its the same dumb thing. "OH NO SHIORI STILL DOESN'T LOVE ME AND STILL DOES BITCHY SHIT TO HURT ME." Fuck, at least Miki isn't still trying to get his sister to play the piano.

Juri is the worst. She has less character development than fucking ANTHY.

How can you not like Allenby? She actually has a fun personality compared to either Domon and Rain. Her reactions are great and she has pretty good chemistry with Domon. She actually gives the Final Round fights more character which it needs after all the stereotyping it does.

Probably because she's a terrible character who rises to prominence in the plot without actually being important, significant, or special in any way? EVERYONE has a fucking boner for Allenby. Even Master Asia is "OH I WAS WRONG ALLENBY IS SO GREAT." MASTER. ASIA. The man can DANCE ON FUCKING LASERS. He spends all his time tearing DOMON down and Domon is King of Hearts. Yes, I know

It looks like Gintoki being sent to the future is actually some kind of curse he got from a Tendoshu guy he killed during the Joi war. Then again it's Gintama, where everything goes, but I don't know...

It has all the makings of a troll though. Like when Elizabeth had to leave the show. lol

I do think it'll be serious in the sense that the proceedings won't be trollish, but I do think it'll follow the usual Gintama back-to-status-quo-by-the-end formula.

Mickey, Touga and Nanami have all had development beyond their introductory episodes and "obviously not paying attention" has made it clear all the same. Meanwhile special snowflake Juri apparently requires magic fucking laser vision to discern more character beyond what I saw twenty episodes ago.

Fuck her character, and fuck trying to read between the lines in a show that has lines as wiggly as Chu Chu's eyes.
