STEAM Announcements/Updates 2013 - Summer sale start date? No one knows, don't ask

So the Killing Floor group on steam just posted this:
Those crazy circus freaks have infested the world of Killing Floor once again for the Summer Sideshow: Pier of Pain event, hosted in Ringmaster Lockheart's Steamland. And this time they've brought a completely new game type with them - Objective Mode. But that's not all! We have a whole pile of extras for you all, for NO money down:

*All new game type: Objective Mode features story driven gameplay with objectives to complete while battling the zeds!
*The new map, Steamland, playable in both the new Objective Mode and Wave Mode!
*Objective Mode added to the Killing Floor SDK, so mappers can now create their own story-based maps.
*New unlockable event character: Steampunk Mrs. Foster! Unlock here during the event while you can!
*Additional achievements for the new game mode and new level.
*Another opportunity to unlock Steampunk Mr. Foster during the event.
*For everyone who owns Rising Storm (http://store.steampowered.com/app/234510) - the Rising Storm Tommy Gun.
*All FREE to everyone who owns the game!


And, so everyone who doesn't own the game can try the new mode, Killing Floor will be available to download and play, for NO money (that is f-r-e-e), from 4th July through to 11th July. That is a whole week to try it out. And, to encourage everyone even further, the game will be on sale during the period of the free week, at an 80% discount.

But wait! There's more! We are also bringing you a new DLC character, to keep the original Mr. Foster company - Mrs. Foster! Plus a second Gold Weapons Pack for all those who like their weapons blinged out. And as if that wasn't enough - a Steampunk-themed Community Weapons Pack will also be available, to match with the whole Steampunk theme of the Summer Event.

I answered that question earlier. I noticed yesterday that you have a tendency to read back through the thread and respond to posts that have already been addressed. ;) Open the posts up in tabs as you flick through the new pages and close them if they've already been answered, compiling the rest into one post -- it's what I do.

Aw dang, MK is $30? For some reason i thought it was 20 dollars at launch.

Guess it'll be a while before i get it then.

Found it, bought it (£3.99) not in my list. Restarted Steam and still not there, not even as DLC for TWD. Sad :(

Edit: Found it on the store. Clicked play and it launched TWD. Looked at the episode status and its "coming soon"...

I don't pay attention unfortunately.

I wake up, casually scroll through a couple pages, and find a post.

I should start checking whether its been addressed.

Oh this makes sense. They will get a featured Two Tribes weekend deal with very low prices for their recent games and then next week Toki Tori 2 will hit right when the summer sale starts on Thursday. Genius on their part. They get a lot of exposure leading up to the sale and for the launch of Toki Tori 2.

Now that's fixed and i have the game running i have to say this game looks gorgeous to me. Granted, i just got into PC gaming so it might just be because i came from consoles to this but goddamn does this look and play smooth as shit. I don't know who was in charge with the PC version but this game run extremely well on my gtx 660, like maxed out 60fps where as GTA 4 ran like shit. Makes me hope that the inevitable GTA 5 port will be a good port
