Sleeping Dogs and Saint's Row 3.
Though that's because im not buying GTAV. Holding out for the Mythical PC version.
Hopefully it doesn't turn into another RDR case.

Or a GTA4 case where the game runs like crap regardless of how good your machine is.

Sleeping Dogs is probably the best GTA clone I've played so I hope you enjoy it.

I apologize if these keys don't work :/. They should though.

Cheers for Map Pack 1, r3n4ud.

Also, how did I not connect the dots between Sanctum and Super Sanctum TD? I had no idea TD was a Sanctum spinoff. Better go quickly grab the Groupees bundle before it's taken down then.

Sure thing man. And ya, SS TD is a lovely game as well.

I'm thinking of doing this as well. Not 100% sure I can do it though.

yeah, I was thinking about waiting for the pc version but that gta 5 ps3 bundle was calling my name.

I haven't had a ps3 this entire gen and getting it with gta 5 is a good excuse to play that game and go back and play some ps3 exclusives I've missed.

I'm going to be busy sticking my fingers in my ears while I pretend GTAV doesn't exist while I wait for them to release it on PC.

I'm playing through SR4 right now which is making it a lot easier to ignore GTAV since SR4 is so much fun.

Well then, you're in for a treat! Lots of great ps3 games to check out.

That is a good point forgot how crap the GTA4 port is. At least Max Payne 3 is a good sign aside from it's huge file size. Also I have been enjoying Sleeping Dogs immensley. Such a fun game.

I hope Steam eventually gets a save-state (sleep) feature similar to that available on portable consoles. It's probably the main reason I'm likely to pickup my 3DS or PSP to play than start a Steam game. The time to game for most Steam games isn't significant, but to my mind it's enough of a hurdle to proceed. I've been spoiled by the convenience of portables.

What do you reckon the chances of us getting such a feature? Did Valve mention anything like that?

And next-gen consoles are getting functionality like that. I thought PC was next-gen? Huh. I guess not.

Uhhh..... is this like your first time using Windows or something?

Sleeping Dogs has the worst driving put into an open world game with a decent budget. And the side swipe move is horrible and has no animation. Game as a whole is quite fun though. GTAIV's driving is in another league though, it takes some time to get used to but once you do I feel it's quite enjoyable. Certainly more than the ghost cars of dogs.

It's dark out so Amnesia time!

Anyone else having issues with cloud saves? Started up Batman and it prompted me since I had conflicting save files and the one in the cloud was supposedly from July of this year. My local save is from this week. Odd.

Don't believe the lies, PC is not next-gen! It's prev-prev-prev-prev-prev-gen. Bought my first one in 95 or something.

I've been thinking about that as well.
For me it's the only current feature steam is lacking compared to the next gen consoles.
Im assuming it should be to hard to implement in the future. Hell that's basically what a save state is.

I can't use OS-level sleep as I'm using the PC for other tasks if I'm not gaming, and it's been unreliable enough on my PC to not use.

I could leave games running in the background, but that uses resources.

I'd rather Steam games had an application-level save state to allow quicker continues. I imagine implementation would vary game to game, so Valve could promote it as a feature, like Full controller support, to encourage devs to add it.

Yeaaaaaah... that's not going to happen. This would imply people in the industry would have to work together and stick to one thing...

I guess he means that he can put only the game into sleep mode and instantly resume after he opens Steam. You can of course just Alt-Tab out and let the game run in the background but it could be a little more convenient like being able to shut down the PC and still resume. Or something.

The driving was better than GTA 4.

The ram button and action hijack is something I fully expect GTA 5 to rip off in some fashion.

To each his own, found it to be on Just cause levels. Ram moves seems sorta lame since it made actually grinding car on car worthless. Cars felt weightless to me aswell

Not if they implement to a spec dictated by Valve, as I imagine they must do for the other Steam features, like the trading cards, achievements, etc.

Also, you're still going to have to store and load the game's memory state, which is going to take ages and take up gigs of data on your harddrive...

Disk space is cheap. Speed is the issue. If it's faster than loading the game, and sitting through the intro screens/videos, wading through the menus, and then loading the save game, waiting for the level/game to load, and depending on the granularity of the game's save system, getting back to what I was doing before I saved and quit the last time, it'd be worth it.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Does the 3DS let you suspend the game and do something else, like surf the internet or launch another game? Or is it like the DS and you can only suspend and then resume the game?

Those are easy to implement. But a sleep mode sounds like a lot of work for everyone involved. This feature makes sense for mobile gaming and dedicated consoles (the new ones will probably still take longer to boot up and load games than my W8 + Steam on an SSD) but I don't think many people miss that on a PC.

Some dude is willing to trade me Saint's Row IV for the :weed:

Be careful, some SR4s are region locked and you can't even start them. Like this one: http://steamdb.info/sub/28362/
