He said, forgetting he was in a thread specifically regarding review scores. Why do you care so much about scores?
The only thing that matters to me is my own opinion.
3.5 out of 5 isn't that bad...
Do these reviews have any spoilers? I've only been looking at the scores but would like to watch some reviews.
From Escapist Review:
"That's what it's like to play Grand Theft Auto V. The three men you take control of throughout the game aren't even anti-heroes. They're just scumbags. "
...This is actually making me more excited.
I despise Walter White but I love watching him. Being forced to BE him is going to be a soul crushing experience.

This is all I found so far:
GTA 5: Xbox 360 vs PS3 Direct Screen Comparison
The versions look extremely similar, and run the same. You can't go wrong with any version.
People need to stop using this logic 'cause it does not apply to every developer. Rockstar is the valedictorian of the gaming industry and this generation, and scores like this definitely don't look well on their transcript. A 3.5 out of 5 might be good for C average developers, but not Rockstar.
Any reviews of the ps3 version, or is it pretty much the same?
i remember red dead looking noticeably worst on ps3.

Recommendation: It's certainly fun to be the bad guy sometimes, but only buy Grand Theft Auto V if you're prepared to play as characters with no justifiable motivation for doing awful things to people.
GAF, remember the Uncharted 3 thread, don't embarrass yourself again!
Where's the Jim Sterling review?

Rockstar must have been tired of all the ludonarrative dissonance criticism of GTA IV and designed GTA V accordingly. Can't please everyone.
No, I'm suggesting you read.
Adam Sessler's review spouts some hyperbole and more literary references.
I believe he compares the player playing GTA V to Gulliver. Ya. But I love The Sess. Good review.
So we've isolated the one review that doesn't please us that we'll be focusing on to the exclusion of everything else. Right on schedule, too!

I must be missing something... based on those screens the only thing I notice are the low textures in some roofs of the 360 version. Aside from that, all the same.
Why does the headline says 360 version is best? What am I missing?

Play tennis to increase your strength stat; ride a bike to up your stamina; visit a firing range to improve your aim.
Yeah. you can't really trust what reviewers say in regards to GTA. Even the middling DS version of Chinatown Wars somehow managed to score 93 on Metacritic.
Well we're not developers are we? Well maybe some of you are. Also, I might be getting a wrong impression here, but the way I feel is that people who wonder whether a certain site is on metacritic or not are usually more concerned with their precious metascore, rather than with the well-being of developers.Developers do, Publishers give out bonuses dependant on achieving a high enough score on metacritic.
Wow Sesslers review is insanely good.

Pretty fun to see someone downrate a game about crime because the protagonists are criminals.
Guess the same person hates Breaking Bad because it involves people "Breaking Bad" and making drugs.

You're kidding, right?
Escapist will push the metacritic score to 98
