Looks awesome to me.

That's correct, whilst dynamic in the full game in the E3 demo build the rain starts at the same point in the race. The reasoning behind this is that people might only get one chance to try the game out on the showfloor, and we're keen for them to get a taste of the weather effects in action.

Oh damn at the rain in the second video.

Looking incredible, need some better quality footage though, YT is doing this absolutely no favours, but even with the crappy YT compression, the visuals shine through.

Holy shit! That looks amazing!

You know what, even though there is a 360 version, I might just have to buy an Xbox One for this alone.

Playground Games you Gods!

Mmmhmm..

Looks like an upgraded Horizon, open world instead of open road, rain affecting handling, full upgrades and tuning.

Still has those crab hands from Forza 4 though, not the more active ones from Forza 5. Dash reflections seem different too.

Its also hard to tell this is a Forza game without the sun blinding you in the footage ;p

video is up on the xbox one store. Looks ok but you can see the Forza 5 roots. Felt a bit disappointing - they had the bulletpoint 'dramatic weather' and then its just a bit of rain. I trust it'll play well but technically it isn't that big jump forward that FH1 felt when it came out.

The rain is a nice effect on the cars, but pointless to me until they show it with an in-car view. I want to compare with PGR4 or GT5.

Will this be playable on the show floor, and will Playground be giving much more detail out during E3 week?

The videos in the OP show cockpit view racing in the rain.

Forza Horizon 2 will be playable on the showfloor, and it's the demo race shown in the videos posted in the OP.

I'm actually at Le Mans later in the week and hoping to have some community members get hands-on with the E3 demo there as well, anyone from GAF going to the race?

looks amazing

this is no sim racer right ? just a sequel to horizon ?

well, one of the videos shows lamborghini racing through fields and somehow thats supposedly a good thing... not sure why, it looks silly.... it doesnt have to be a sim racer, but it feels wrong to be able to run through wheat fields as if you are in some heavy duty offroad truck.

One thing I did notice in that first video - the person playing is a pretty decent driver. Don't always see that in these demonstrations.
