Paragon of Decency: So I found some pictures of my boss.....

You know... with all the shit I've seen fixing computers, I've never thought of blackmailing someone. Although, I've never fixed a CEO's computer (besides at my job).

I have fixed a big time drug dealer's laptop AND Mac before... That was scary.

Blackmail for promotion ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

/jk He probably knows you know anyway, at least now he'll be extra nice to you. Or else.

Weird that you seemed not to think this until you needed that opinion to bolster your ridiculous comparison that puts letting Mr. Chivas know his information is easily findable online on the same level (or worse) as Mr. Chivas committing a felony and then polling an internet forum for advice on how to proceed.

Or is searching your name in this thread to make that observation just as out of bounds?

What are you even talking about? I said it in my second post in the thread. So no it wasn't said to "prop up" anything actually.

Way to throw acusations around.

If you're cool with the going ons by both sides in this thread knock yourself out.

Two fuck ups don't make a right.

I still say you should upload some of your own nudes to his HD. As sort of a, I saw yours, now take a look at mine kinda thang.

Kind of a Cold War if you will.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
Wait....did OP save the nude images to his own personal drive just in case?

Am I the only one that think this is like something that would have happened on Seinfeld or Curb? Like George/Larry would have stumbled upon his boss' pictures or something. I just thought it was funny. Lighten up. It's funny weird situation that most people will never find themselves in. Would I honestly consider blackmailing someone? Of course not. I've never even had a speeding ticket for fuck's sake. This is just something that doesn't happen every day. You guys are so literal with things. No wonder the internet hates GAF.

I did like the "photoshop sunglasses on his penis" idea. That made me laugh.

Same thing happened to me at an old job of mine down to the pictures of his wife in lingerie/nude (the images were in his iPhoto though and not private folders)....I didn't run to GAF and say I considered blackmailing him (didn't even consider it because I am not an ass).

Part of me hopes your boss has the sense to search in Google. You shouldn't be saying this anywhere near the time it happened, and especially not imply to blackmail for the future.

Blackmail him! Tell him to give you a raise or else you'll let his wife know he's having sex with her.

Do you find it interesting that after acting like a scumbag snoop the first thing you go to is blackmail even though there's nothing to blackmail him about? This says a lot about your character.

You can't blackmail someone with pictures of themselves and pictures of them being faithful to their wife..

Now, if he had different women..

Everyone knows you blackmail the husband with the pictures of the wife and vice versa.

...Leave the pictures be, OP. Even if he wronged you, this isn't the way.

Imma fess up to something here:

I've worked in a similar role and I was offered a chance to fix a consultants drive. The PCB was fried but the drive itself was fine once it was swapped. I saved terabytes of work but there was also a lot of porn. A lot of it had a dude who he'd obviously decided looked a bit like him in them. Same hair etc. And there was a lot of mature porn. I could t resist showing a colleague and before I knew it everyone in the office had gathered around my computer and was giggling at this guys proclivities. Next thing is, we stumble across a folder full of pictures of his wife.

Don't feel sorry for him. His wife looked great!

This is why I Google my user name to make sure i don't leave tracks. I found an old photo bucket account with first and last name and it horrified me. They added my name to the profile in the recent years.

Some junk accounts, I just add made up names.

Privitize your social accounts.

So not only did you snoop, you showed it to colleagues? Ugh...

This gonna turn into some honeypot where people fess up to similar shenanigans.

Just forget about it OP, even if you were just joking some people don't like to play like that.

So this is one of the infamous "Gaf creeper" threads.
What a spectacle!
The drama!
The revelations!
The firings!
I can only wait to see the finale of this play.

OP, you really need to beg a mod to delete this thread. It's remarkably easy to find a bunch of personal information about you just by googling your username. Some malicious person could easily fuck you over.

Hahaha.....so true.

How do you blackmail someone with nude pictures? Who wants to see your naked boss? Why would your boss be so worried about someone seeing him naked?

Welcome to the 21st Century.

I'm surprised at the amount of people in here who are blowing the pics off like exposing them wouldn't be a big deal. I'm not saying OP should use them for illicit purposes, but if he hadn't blabbed about it on the Internet he could very well have gotten something from em. CEOs have way more to lose if their reputations come under question.

So today he brings it in and gives it to me. I ask him if he wants me to backup any of his old files so he can copy them to his new laptop and of course he said yes. Now this is something I've done for people countless times, and I always respect their privacy and don't go snooping around in their folders. But I normally check someone's documents folders to make sure there's something in there before I copy it.

This doesn't even make sense. If there's nothing there then nothing will copy. If you're "checking" the folder, it's because you want to see what's in it

At this point I'm willing to bet that around 40% of all people have nude photos of themselves on their computers. Don't blackmail anyone.
