Anyone else bothered by how calling someone a cuckold became a go-to pejoritive?

Seems like on the more crappy parts of the net, calling someone a "cuck" or suffixing the work "cuck" after a word became this popular catch-all insult.

I have a feeling it has to do with the sexist and racist connotations attached to the word and the context it's used in. Calling someone (usually a straight white male) a cuckold implies that they're a loser because they're not only sexually inadequate, but their significant other is having sex with someone else on the side, usually implied to be this stereotypical depiction of a virile black man.

I know it came from 4chan, but it's seem to spread all over the net. I've seen it being used on random subreddits, tweets, and even on twitch chat. It's just so dumb. Fuck anyone who says this shit.

Maybe you could share some examples?

That word is to describe someone who receives pleasure in watching their partner with other people. The original meaning is I believe someone just having a wife that cheats, but I've found it less commonly used.

Also, not sure how it's only a white straight male either.

I'm not bothered by it. It's become an effective insult because many men in today's world have become very feminized, and cuckolding is the ultimate expression of that feminization.

Wut? How does cheating/being cheated on have any connection to "feminization"?

I don't think I've ever seen the word "cuck" or "cuckold" to generally refer to a white dude's lady getting nailed by a virile black man.

I've always just taken it at face value. It means you're the person getting fucked around on.

There are certain people who will use it any time they hear/read about a guy who "let's their" significant other have male friends.

There needs to be an opposing word for overly protective insecure dudes.

Well it's a pretty fucked up fetish with questionable roots imo
Think it became a 4chan overused meme when people apparently found out moot had been cheated on

Conservatives are using amongst themselves as a purity test--"cuckservative" is the new RINO.

Edit: Beaten by seconds!

I'm the only person I know who has used it in real life. But I also don't hang out with a bunch of teenagers who probably obsessively beat off to BBC porn so I dunno.

How does this even track? The "ultimate" expression of a woman is to be cheated on...?

For something that has spread all over the place, this is the first I'm seeing it. I don't even know (nor want to know) what the word means.

Alternate take: maybe you're going to the wrong places.

I'm not bothered by it. It's become just one of many ways to indicate who is ignorant so that I may more easily filter them from gaining any of my attention.

I hate that it's brought up anytime open/poly relationships are discussed on here. If people get off from their wives getting their brains fucked out by someone else that's their business and it's fine. But using it as a pejorative assigns a negative connotation to it, which isn't cool, and there are myriad configurations of open relationships and cuckolding is a tiny percentage of that. But hey, toxic masculinity ruins everything so I am not surprised that the term is thrown around so often.

80-90% of the time I see it used it has nothing to do with relationships at all. Usually used to describe white people who demonstrate with an oppressed minority group of some sort

I've never heard it in real life. I find the bi-cuck-pr0n hilarious. Most of the time it's this chick who's "forcing" her husband watch her fuck another dude then she makes him uhm... "partake" in the other dudes dick.

It's hilarious because you can see exactly how the dude is totally digging it and/or trying not to laugh their asses off. It's really hard to take it seriously. I'm pretty sure most of the "cucks" they get to do all this are gay dudes.

The only time I ever see it used is in situations that some guy sounds like he's being taken advantage of by his girlfriend which makes sense considering the meaning of the word.

Feels like it's the most common/popular on sites, I'm not an expert I'll admit

There are certainly and abundance of willing and desired black participants in real life. I just wouldn't suggest race defines the term whatsoever though.

Couldn't really tell you about the sites though.

It's a pretty funny insult as far as insults are concerned. Yes it's offensive. That's why it's an insult. It's become overused though. I learned what the term meant here.

isn't it kind of the same insult as cabrón which has been around forever?

it's kind of just another played out meme at this point.
