Will it be closed off from the other Marvel properties, or will there be cross-overs? The Arkham games were pretty much closed off to the Batman characters, despite the numerous easter eggs in them.
For original games, Activision's movie tie-in license expires next year.

Hope this game is Arkham City tier in goodness. Spidey's got a pretty solid rouge's gallery, and not only that he's not the brooding type. Golden age villains could use a reboot. The Rhino for instance, is a big dude in a rhino costume... but perhaps they could rework him into a juggernaut with a Bane complex... with a hat made from a rhino's head.
Digging the costume, maybe they're going to retool more characters. Ohh... Black Cat, we could have Black Cat!
Only thing that might be tough to implement is the types of web attacks. Batman had gadgets working for him. Spider-man would have to invent things for his webbing... it could work, right?

Since 2014. Activision only has the movie tie-in license now until 2017.
They're closed off from the X-Men (plus Deadpool) & the Fantastic Four for sure. If Insomniac got license for teams like the Avengers or the Defenders remains to be seen.

God DAMN that looks great. I've wanted a really great AAA Spider-Man game forever. Day 1. And sure, I'd prefer a costume closer to 616, but I don't even care, this looks great.

If only, but Marvel had to sweeten the deal for the movie licenses at the time.

As far as surprises go this is my favorite game of E3 so far. I just really hope we dont have to wait longer than a year to play it. The fact they couldnt even put a suggested year on it doesnt give me hope.

Since Marvel is working with Sony on this one, I wonder if Sony can get more characters to make their own Marvel Gaming Universe

This right here sealed it as the best E3 of all time. A genuine full fledged Spiderman exclusive by Insomniac... like... what. I have faith in Insomniac, loved the Resistance series, and Ratchet PS4 was excellent.. I have very high hopes for this game.
