Why are mods protecting a pedophile?

To any mod who is a pedophile here, feel free to kill my account. I'd rather not stick around in a place that treats pedophiles better than people who have differing political viewpoints.

I imagine they're preparing a statement, its quite the revelation so a bit of delicacy is needed.

And honestly, i'd hardly say they're protecting him.

EDIT: Eww, the comments on that article. This is not going to look good for this community.

This, basically. It is seemingly commonplace to cover up. I've lurked for a long time but these actions are not surprising in the least to anyone who visits. They still delete references to his drug addiction, scamming GAF out of money, and him beating his mother. And after all that he still has a defense force to protect him. It's extremely, extremely sad.

The story is absolutely awful but Amirox hasn't been a mod in many years, has he? I don't think they're "protecting" him.

Making a statement? What do you expect someone to say other than it's a fucked up thing? Do you need EviLore to tell you he's against child pornography? 'Cause, I'm pretty sure he is without him having to come out and say it.

It's pretty jarring when these types of things are revealed.

Recently had a coworker get busted in a wal-mart groping strangers in the lingerie section. Turns out he had a previous sex offender charge that no one knew about as well.

You just never know about people...

The importance lies in the fact that over the years both the rest of the Moderation team and EL himself has come to defend Amir0x, regardless of the issue at hand. There have been pedophile claims against multiple former Mods repeated times over the years and every single time it goes unchecked. This is yet another notch that looks like a cover-up from the outside perspective of everyone who isn't blind.

You'd think he'd be against beating your mother, too, but he came to Amir0x's defense to tell everyone he was really a "good guy" after that happened, too.

If you had evidence that led you to believe that a moderator was a pedophile, why wouldn't you give that to the police instead of asking EvilLore to do something about it?

I don't really understand hows that covering his ass though? The fellow was caught rather red handed, and its not like anything he did here would have been illegal.
