Name a few indie games that you are currently anticipating and need more attention

Seeing how Hotline Miami 2 is getting a lot of (well deserved) attention, lets give some attention to some indie games you feel need more attention.

Hollow Knight: Atmospheric Metroidvania from Australia

Salt and Sanctuary: 2d Souls like action platformer from the developers of the Dishwasher games

Children of Morta: Top Down roguelike dungeon crawler

Paradise Lost: First Contact: 2d Stealth game about an Alien in a pseudo Area 51

Still waiting for A Hat in Time to come out. Gives me Wind Waker vibes and looks very charming!
I was hoping for a Wii U port, but that seems unlikely now unfortunately...

Ghost Song - A Gaffer made Metroidvaina.
http://www.ghostsonggame.com/

The Banner Saga 2 - Turn-based strategy game with choose your own adventure parts.
http://stoicstudio.com/

Cosmic Star Heroine - Turn-based rpg made by the guys that made the 3rd and 4th episodes of the Penny Arcade RPGs, Cthulhu Saves the World and so on.
http://stoicstudio.com/

RONIN - Think Gunpoint but the combat is turn-based. (I can't give it a better description and it might be wrong.)
http://teedoubleu.itch.io/ronin

TOREN - Puzzle/adventure game that looks great.
http://toren-game.com/about.php?lang=en

Hard West - Turn-based combat a la X-Com (hopefully).
http://www.playway.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=325:hard-west&catid=37:main-game&Itemid=37

Masquerada: Songs and Shadows - Has a really nice style. Combat is real time with pause and you have three characters in your party.
http://www.witching-hour.net/portfolio/masquerada/

STASIS - Isometric adventure game with beautiful environments.
http://www.stasisgame.com/

Pillars of Eternity - While Obsidian is a fairly big studio, this might be cheating, but I will add this spiritual successor anyway.
http://eternity.obsidian.net/

There are many, many more, but I think that I will stop here. I could probably list 50 indies I am interested in.

In every thread I can, I will mention Chaos Reborn from the Xcom creator Julian Gollop.
Going back to his roots.

The current version is already amazing online, can't wait to see how the single player campaign turns out.

Rime

Everybody's Gone To The Rapture

A Hat In Time (collect-a-thons can make a comeback right?)

Cosmic Star Heroine too! Year of the indie!

You guys think Cuphead has enough attention? Just, I mean, as a platformer it looks solid, so there's that, and the art style, what the hell?! Why did no one do this before? It looks so perfect I can't wait.

Routine is a first person Survival Horror set on a abandoned Moon Base designed around an 80's vision of the future, Your job is to find enough data and survive long enough to uncover the truth behind the strange disappearance of everyone stationed on the Lunar Research Station.

You can watch the alpha gameplay here.

I like this thread but much of what has been posted so far are things that have had enormous attention.

One I'm excited for is Expand which uses links between music and platforming in its minimalist yet dynamic world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMuJfj5VhzA

You can't quite tell from the trailer due to the lack of context but it's actually a large 'world' you explore but each 'room' is refreshed on the same screen, very interesting.

I'm sorry, Cuphead has plenty of publicity at this point, but it looks so promising I still want as many people as possible to see it.

Well I guess more is contextual and I'm not trying to stop you from being excited about the game, I was just surprised by what games people think are lacking attention is all. Definitely no need to be sorry for liking a game!

Where is it Paz you %*$#@!%

Maybe if I wasn't responding to GAF posts it would be done faster :p (It's actually getting dangerously close to finished, our next update will be a major one that takes us to alpha with all gameplay complete).

I thought this game actually came out already? Or has there just been a very extensive beta?

Long beta/early access, total dev time is now 2 years with about half of that being in Early Access (with constant updates, it's not a DOA project or anything).

Ok good to know looking forward to it.

Caffeine:

Set in the near future, the entire population of Earth is vigorously addicted to coffee. Massive space stations built by the biggest corporations roam the stars mining minerals to create a synthetic caffeine. You awaken aboard one of these caffeine mining stations alone. Supposed to be a psychological horror game with some environmental puzzles.

Developed in Unreal Engine 4, it looks quite good. There's a playable demo on Steam that's available to anyone right now.

Been waiting on that one for awhile, hope it turns out great, and supports some consumer VR hmds!

It got a thread recently but I'm really digging the look of Jetpack Squad, looks like some crazy fun.

There's a game I was really looking forward to that had a mature red riding hood theme but the name slips my mind. Anyone know it?

Edit: I remember now. Dragon Fin Soup

Have you have your fill of smuggling human souls to devils in Sunless Sea and been dunked in the cauldron more than you'd care to admit in Darkest Dungeon, but STILL have a hankerin' for steampunk madness and fumbling thru to a gameplan? CLOCKWORK EMPIRES.

As far as I know, the game is all bossfights, so not really a platformer :p

But yeah, looks amazing.

Thank the skies for indie games. They've really helped make this generation a remarkable experience for me.

Though it may not be quite as obscure as some of the above-mentioned titles, I'm most looking forward to Affordable Space Adventures, and I wish it'd get more attention.

It's a Wii U collaboration from indie developers KnapNok (Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party) and Nifflas (Knytt). While one player controls a rusty lemon of a spaceship with a traditional controller, a partner uses the GamePad to act as a sort of co-pilot, adjusting all sorts of ancillary controls, so you really have to communicate as a team to navigate through the stages. Looks to me like the best use of the GamePad since ZombiU, and when that thing's used properly, it's magnificent. I've been looking forward to this game for ages.
