edit4: Looks like its a no go. They're actively blocking people who downloaded while it was up for download on PSN last week.

Servers are down though. Not sure if this is the same client as the one that will be used for testing later this month. As far as I know, they're still doing the selections for the stress test next week, so I'm not sure if downloading this client gives you guaranteed access, or how they plan on handling it.

The signups for the stress test always required Playstation Plus if you were from the US or Asia. Europe gets to avoid that restriction for some reason. http://cbt.darksouls3.com/en/faq.html

WWHAT? I thought you'd get a code like every other beta/alpha test. Downloading regardless. I also checked the selection results and it still says

The selection process has not been completed yet. Please wait for the results to be compiled.
Once the lottery is over, we'll send a notice to your email address if you're selected.

They won't announce the results till 12/13 anyway according to their schedule. Pretty damn weird.

I'm gonna guess they have no way to keep people that downloaded this out once the actual testing starts.

Both Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne worked this way.
