Yes.

Is the Jesus and Mary Chain considered shoegaze?

If so, then "Snakedriver" from The Crow's soundtrack.

Oh yes.

I know it's probably a stock answer but Sometimes by My Bloody Valentine is such a fucking good song.

Oh bloody hell yes.

Boris - Farewell

MBV - You Made Me Realise

Do subgenres like blackgaze count? Since many of shoegaze songs I like have already been posted I think I'll go into its subgenre. Granted, if you like shoegaze you may not like blackgaze since blackgaze is an infusion of styles of black metal and shoegaze. I am not a fan of all styles of black metal (especially that crazy ass right-wing skinhead shit) but only a few, but I do like this infusion.

Les Discrets - L'échappée
Alcest - Autre Temps
Amesoeurs - Faiblesse Des Sens (Amesoeurs was formed by Neige who then later went to form Alcest)
Amesoeurs - Heurt
Wolves In The Throne Room - Face In A Night Time Mirror Part 1
Alcest - Sur L'Océan Couleur De Fer

I am not a huge fan of lyrics in general (huge post-rock, instrumental and ambient/downtempo fan which traditionally doesn't have it), and shoegaze/blackgaze is one of my other favourite genres where I do like the style of lyrics/distortion.

Love Hammock, but I consider them ambient.

I was going to link some tracks by Loop but they're not really shoegaze as such.

Anyway, trawling youtube last night listening to the links lead me to Beta Band who i love yet haven't listened to for a few years. Thanks everyone for the nostalgia trip! Great thread.
