Today, on July 1, 2016, CESA published a press release with general information on Tokyo Game Show 2016 and a list of exhibitors. I won't list all exhibitors here, primarily those in the General Exhibition Area and Indie Game Corner.

Tokyo Game Show 2016 takes place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City (Tokyo) between September 15-18. 15-16 are Business Days, 17-18 are Public Days.

I do not see Microsoft in the list (they skipped last year), and Nintendo is as usual not exhibiting. Sony is there however.

Anyway, the list in full can be viewed here: http://expo.nikkeibp.co.jp/tgs/2016/business/map/list/index.html

Seems like all the regulars are still going. Any surprise additions?

This confirms no NX at TGS.

No one should have expected it anyway.

Not from nintendo anyway. This was 1000000% expected.

Now, if nintendo reveals the NX *BEFORE* TGS, no reason why 3rd party making NX games can't show them off, or at least talk about the NX version of games (unless nintendo is being weird about it).

DQXI, and whatever capcom/bandai namco are making.

It's amusing to see Vuzix on the list when no other VRs are going (and I highly doubt they're there for their AR products which aren't useful for gaming).

Nintendo attending TGS is rarity, anyone expecting them to be there this year was up for dissapointment.

Doesn't mean no NX though, if Nintendo unveils it before third parties could still show NX there.

It's not like there won't be 3DS games there.

Looking forward to Sony's TGS conference, last year's was really good.

Wasn't expecting Nintendo to have any sort of presence (even with the NX looming).

Yeah, it was pretty good. Not expecting anything this year to make me shit my pants like the double whammy of Gravity Rush Remastered and Gravity Rush 2, but hopefully it'll still be worth watching.

I didnt think they would of shown it there. They will have their own keynote on their own later in the year.

KONAMI = buhh??
Koei Tecmo Games = eager to see Berserk and DW9 reveal

I hope there's a big Nintendo Direct around that time... Followed by some closed doors show for the press and retailers...

Capcom still has a Monster Hunter game to announce for this year.
Silicon Studio? The 3D Dot Game/Bravely guys? Do we know what they're working on?

Aren't they working on something with Mistwalker?

Plus they have Mobile stuff.

They pop up a lot on SE's mobile ports/games! Could be that.

Thanks guys. I really liked 3D, was hoping they were finally getting back to that series (3D Dot Game Monsters!). Either way, excited to see what they have to show off.Mistwalker would be cool too.

C'mon guys. Everyone knows Nintendo NX will be revealed at the Playstation Experience. Kimishima is gonna run down the aisle holding the NX above his head and then run the fuck out and steal the show.

Basically another third party and Sony gaming show.

Hoping for
Level5 RPG for PS4 not aimed at children and not extremely clichéd (lol)
FromSoft brings back Armored Core and teases Bloodborne 2
Tons of beloved PS2 and PS3 games announced to be coming to the PS4
Capcom reintroduces Deep Down
Hot Shot thoroughly shown off and given a date
SNK announces awesome things
Vita and 3DS getting love from third party
More Persona 5
Studio Japan announces Afrika VR and some other cool stuff
Sequels to a loved niche one off
Square announces a VR game
Mobile presence begins to lessen in comparison to past years

This would be a dream scenario ;_;

Would that imply they are going to be at Gamescom with a conference then?

If memory serves, they said they're going to announce a release date fairly soon after E3, and with the way they've been treating the game in terms of marketing thus far, I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped that news out of nowhere, via some blog post or something.

But yeah, it could be at Gamescom I suppose. We don't even know if Sony are holding a presser there or not this year though.

I don't know what to expect from Sony's conference.
I either probably a bunch of updates on already announced stuff.
Gr2
Hot shots golf
The last guardian will probably get another trailer
And I'm sure third party exclusives and such
Maybe some psvr exclusives?

In a perfect world
All this teasing wild arms ps4 and ape escape 4 would get announced
